Chapter 106: Chapter 106: The Punishment for Lying (3)
Qiao Mo turned her head to look out the window, her eyes a bit moist.
Fine, if it’s not needed, it’s not needed. After all, she was just bought by him, and she had no right to say no.
Fu Nancheng pursed his lips without making a sound and reached over to take her phone.
As soon as he pressed the screen to light it up, a password input page appeared, causing him to slightly narrow his eyes.
When the phone screen went black again, he put the phone back in its original place without touching it.
The car fell into silence again. Qiao Mo kept looking out the window while he gazed at the computer.
More than an hour of silence passed, and the car slowly drove to the dormitory building where Qiao Mo lived.
Since it was a private aristocratic school by nature, luxury cars came and went without end, mostly affluent and noble; thus, Fu Nancheng’s car did not attract much attention.
After Qiao Mo got out of the car, she opened the trunk and began to move her luggage.
He also got out from the car together and helped her carry the suitcase.
Qiao Mo stood aside watching him without speaking, picked up the smallest one, and headed upstairs.
She had barely taken a few steps when a large hand took the suitcase from her, and before she could speak, he walked into the dormitory building.
Qiao Mo watched his back, somewhat lost in thought.
School had started, and men weren’t allowed in the dormitory building...
Heart murmuring inwardly, Qiao Mo wondered if he would be scolded by the dorm manager.
Her gaze fell on the car window, then she looked at the man’s back, and immediately she softly opened the car door to retrieve her phone.
But as soon as she opened the car door, Qiao Mo was dumbfounded.
The back seat was empty, with no sign of the phone!
She turned over the car cushion of the rear seat, then lay on the seat to search for a while, but still found nothing.
Qiao Mo couldn’t help but feel anxious—was it taken by Fu Nancheng because she said she didn’t need it?
Highly annoyed, Qiao Mo immediately chased after the man.
"Which floor?" Just as she reached his side, he asked in a low voice.
"Fourth floor." Qiao Mo replied sullenly, still preoccupied with the phone.
She followed him all the way to the fourth floor, paying no mind to the fiery glances and low whispers around her, consumed with thoughts of how to get the phone back, as it held almost all her memories with Jing Hao.
After checking the room to confirm no one was inside, she turned sideways to let Fu Nancheng in.
She stayed in the bed furthest inside, close to the balcony.
Actually, she had hardly ever lived in school before. Though the dormitory conditions were very good, it was still a four-person room, and she often found it hard to sleep at night.
Fu Nancheng swept a glance around the room. He prepared to leave after putting her luggage in place.
Qiao Mo’s heart tightened, chasing after him: "Mr. Fu..."
He stopped and looked at her.
"I... where’s my phone?"
His dark eyes deepened further, with a cold smile: "Didn’t you say you didn’t need it?"
"I... was afraid you couldn’t find me."
Fu Nancheng laughed mockingly: "Is that so?"
Qiao Mo fell silent, feeling that her ability to lie with open eyes was increasing, though he clearly didn’t believe her.
He turned and stepped closer to her, prompting Qiao Mo to retreat a few steps until she hit the wall, watching him uneasily.
"Afraid I couldn’t find you?" He spoke coldly, leaving Qiao Mo clueless on how to respond, her eyes lowered, refusing to speak.
He was very close to her; she carried a faint fragrance, lips slightly pouting as if aggrieved, her pink lips and white teeth made his heart tremble fiercely, the chill in his eyes abated a bit.
His breath grew warm, and suddenly he lifted her chin and lowered his head to kiss her.
