Chapter 155: Wouldn’t Change The Fact

Chapter 155: Wouldn’t Change The Fact

"She is trying to keep me from mine!" screamed Bai Long Qiang. How could they not see that? His woman... his soul was lying in the arms of a man he knew for a fact ripped people apart in the rings every night.

The man was a monster, and yet everyone seemed to be fine, leaving Wang Tian Mu to his mercy.

Right. And he was the problem.

"And that fucking freak is holding her! Would you let another man hold your woman like that?!?" Bai Long Qiang could feel his heart being pulled from his chest every second that she was not in his arms. She looked so small and breakable...

What was he going to do if something happened to her after he just found her again?

Why could no one see that?

"If he was looking at her the way Rip does the Healer? Yes, I would. And I do," replied the man with white eyes as he kissed the side of his woman’s neck.

Sharing their woman? No. That wasn’t the way it was supposed to be. A man had to be strong enough and successful enough to be able to protect and support his woman by himself. Otherwise, why would she even pick him in the first place?

"Bullshit," grunted Bai Long Qiang as his face twisted in a look of disgust. It wasn’t that he cared about their relationship with their woman, but...

If he couldn’t protect her...

He had already let her down so many times...

What would his father say?

"No man would be willing to share his woman... not if he really loved her." That was what his father and grandfather would say.

The soul bond was only between two people. Others couldn’t feel the same toward their woman, and they didn’t understand what the Bai family was willing to do to protect them. Most didn’t understand the single-minded obsession they had, and there were many times in the past when someone would try to intervene.

To them, all they saw was the possession... they thought that the Bai men wanted to possess their woman, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

The Bai men were the servants. They did whatever their woman wanted, no questions asked. It was why his father did so much to keep him, and Wang Tian Mu separated because his mother didn’t understand.

He shook his head, not wanting to think too much about his family.

That would lead to thoughts about where they were, and right now, his concentration was focused on Wang Tian Mu. She would need a lot of love and support to help her overcome whatever happened to her here, and that was all that was important.

More so than his own family.

"Are you questioning my love for my wife?" asked the man with the white eyes as he tilted his head to the side. Bai Long Qiang could see the promise of death in his eyes, but what he didn’t realize was that until Wang Tian Mu was in his arms, he was already dead.

Besides, even if he was questioning his love for his wife, why did it matter? As long as you knew how you felt, nothing an outsider could say should influence you.

Everyone else could question his love for his wife as long as she didn’t.

He was about to open his mouth to say something, but Si Dong quickly butted into the conversation as he came to stand beside him.

"Is she going to be okay?" he asked, looking at where Wang Tian Mu was being held in the Boogeyman’s arms.

He was supposed to meet him in the pit tonight, except shit hit the fan before the fight happened. Thank God for that.

"Time heals all wounds," said the woman. He knew that he was told her name, but for the life of him he couldn’t remember.

Oh well, it wasn’t that important anyway.

"And sometimes, wounds are too big for even time to heal," she continued, and Bai Long Qiang couldn’t help but roll his eyes.

Because that makes perfect sense... and said absolutely nothing.

Fucking bullshit.

"Then what do we need to do?" asked Ye Yao Zu as he stepped forward. He, too, was looking at Wang Tian Mu, and Bai Long Qiang breathed a bit easier. At least he would be able to help her on a psychological level to get past all of this.

But first, they needed to make sure that she was physically okay.

They should have made sure that the medic had survived the third zombie attack. He could have at least performed some field medicine. But no, they had relied on her to be their medic, and now that she needed one...

Fuck.

They would have to get a medic on the team again.

"Nothing," said the woman, shaking her head. "Just being with her will be enough."

Ah, see... she didn’t even know what was going on with her, let alone how to treat her. She tried to sound so wise, but she was talking out of her ass as much as anyone else would be. The only one to know what Wang Tian Mu needed was Wang Tian Mu.

She just had to wake up and tell them.

"If he is not worth it, he dies now. We’ll just tell her that it was a dream when she wakes up." The woman doing all the talking looked at General Wang Chao as if he had the final say in the matter.

Bai Long Qiang scoffed at that idea. Not even death would keep him from his woman, so they were welcome to do whatever they wanted. He would find her again in his next life, and hopefully, the world wouldn’t end so early.

Or maybe, if he remembered this life, he would not waste so much time.

The General’s eyes flashed bright red for a second before he shook his head. "Everyone deserves a second chance, my love."

It took everything inside of Bai Long Qiang not to lash out in anger. Who the hell were they to determine whether he deserved a second chance or not?

And what second chance did he need?

Everything was up to Wang Tian Mu, not some random woman. Even if she was a friend like she claimed, a true friend supported the other, not tells them what to do.

"But not all deserve them," continued the woman, and Bai Long Qiang ignored her. Instead of wasting time and energy dealing with them, he needed to figure out how to get his woman the best care possible.

"No, not all of them do, but he does," said the General. But fuck him. He was part of the military that Bai Long Qiang and his team were never going back to. They could make all the comments they wanted to, and it wouldn’t change the fact that Wang Tian Mu was his.
