Chapter 440: Chapter 439: Ultimate Sewing Monster

"Roar roar roar!"

The howling sound rapidly approached, and soon, figures of Stitched Monsters began to appear: grey-skinned, green-skinned, blue-skinned, and even purple-skinned.

Richard’s eyes quickly swept around, showing little fear as he flipped his hand and took out the heavy Great Sword, which had not been used for a long time— the last time he used it was in the external cemetery exploration of the White Stone City.

Holding the sword, Richard’s gaze sharpened once again.

"Roar roar!"

The Stitched Monsters attacked, and free Energy Elements surged from Richard’s body, releasing Spells.

Spell·Wind Lord!

Spell·Wind Light Spirit!

Spell·Wind Force!

The air surged violently, bringing up a strong wind that gathered around Richard’s body, forming an invisible armor.

"Snap!"

Richard stomped his foot, greatly increasing his jumping ability, leaping high into the air, and landing behind a grey-skinned Stitched Monster, ferociously raising his Great Sword and slashing down.

"Splash!"

The blade easily cut into the neck of the grey-skinned Stitched Monster, powerfully severing everything in its way.

With a loud "bang," the head of the grey-skinned Stitched Monster, quite large, fell to the ground and rolled away.

Richard’s expression remained unchanged. He shifted his body to dodge an attack from a blue-skinned Stitched Monster and reached the back of another grey-skinned one. Again, he swung the Great Sword at its neck, killing the second grey-skinned monster.

Then came the third, fourth, fifth...

Richard’s slaughtering was highly efficient. Before long, the grey-skinned Stitched Monsters had been mostly eliminated. These creatures, truly, were not very powerful. Perhaps their size and appearance were frightening, and they possessed great strength, but their massive bodies resulted in slow reactions and myriad vulnerabilities.

To Richard, the true strength of the grey-skinned Stitched Monsters was not even comparable to a moderately elite Armored Soldier, let alone the Beetles from the external tomb of White Stone City.

As for the green-skinned and blue-skinned Stitched Monsters, although they were stronger, their intelligence had significantly decreased. They did not require much effort to handle and were even easier to deal with, almost like walking a dog.

After slaughtering all the grey-skinned Stitched Monsters, Richard turned his attention to the green-skinned and blue-skinned ones. In the next moment, his Great Sword, in conjunction with Spells, quickly cleared them all.

What remained were four somewhat lonely-looking purple-skinned Stitched Monsters.

Richard knew well that relying solely on the Great Sword would be difficult to inflict substantial damage on the purple-skinned Stitched Monsters, so he put it away.

The next moment, his fingers rubbed together, and granules of white crystals flew from his fingertips, quickly attaching to the heads of the four purple-skinned Stitched Monsters.

Magic Salt!

After being coated with the Magic Salt, the four purple-skinned Stitched Monsters, oblivious to the danger, charged forward in confusion. Resulting from their close proximity, they collided with a loud "bang" and all fell to the ground at once.

"Roar roar roar roar!"

The four purple-skinned Stitched Monsters struggled to their feet, still somewhat unclear about what had happened, looked at each other, and once again stepped forward.

"Bang," unsurprisingly, they collided again, all tumbling down.

Richard watched the scene, unable to resist pressing his temples. He had been ready to dodge, but now it was completely unnecessary.

"Bang bang bang!"

The four purple-skinned stitched monsters seemed to be energized, continually colliding as if they could play all day if undisturbed. However, Richard didn’t have that much time to wait. The next moment, he raised his hand, flicked his fingers, and four Mars-sized flames shot out. They quickly sped toward the purple stitched monsters playing the "bumper car" game, landing on the surface of the magic salt on their heads.

"Boom boom boom boom!"

Four consecutive explosions erupted, merging into one loud blast. Visibly, the heads of the four purple-skinned stitched monsters were instantly blown to pieces, killing them on the spot.

The aftermath of the explosion was still venting, strong shockwaves mixed with flames, chunks of flesh, and blood flying toward Richard.

Richard raised his hand, producing an air shield like an invisible giant umbrella, blocking everything with a crackling sound.

Moments later, he waved to dissipate the air shield and looked around to see dozens of meters around him littered with the corpses of stitched monsters, none alive. He then turned his gaze toward the distant stone building.

The death mage who had been conducting live research inside the stone building seemed to be disturbed by the noise of the battle and ran out. He glanced at Richard, then at the many dead stitched monsters and the corpse of the divination woman around Richard, his expression becoming quite spectacular.

Opening his mouth, he addressed Richard with a trace of panic, "Who... who are you, what do you want to do?"

Richard couldn’t be bothered to answer and took steps closer.

The death mage, terrified, quickly ran back into the stone building, his voice faintly threatening, "Just you wait! You will regret this! Yes, you will regret it!"

Richard paid no heed and continued his advance, soon reaching the front of the stone building.

Just as he was about to step inside, he suddenly felt something was off, his eyebrows raising sharply as he swiftly retreated.

"Bang, crash!"

The next moment, the wall beside the stone building cracked open, and a mountainous figure burst out like an uncontrollable locomotive. Had Richard not been alert, he would have been directly hit.

His body lightly floated back ten meters, Richard squinted at the emerging figure, recognizing it as a brand-new stitched monster.

Yes, a brand-new stitched monster.

The creature was nearly four meters tall, over a ton in weight, its body surface covered with gnarly protuberances like a pure muscle monster. Its skin was deathly black, exuding a strong scent of death, as if it had just crawled out of hell. It had an oval head, eyes bloodshot, exuding a chilling coldness as it looked at Richard like it was looking at food.

"Black-skinned stitched monster, huh..." Richard muttered.

Then, the death mage appeared again, hiding behind the black-skinned stitched monster, venomously glancing over, "Boy, I don’t care who you are, but if you dare invade my territory, you have only death to face. Although you killed many of my test subjects, this one here was made with a lot of effort. Unlike those trash, it can definitely crush you into meat paste."

"Is that so?"

"Of course!" the death mage confidently shouted, commanding the black-skinned stitched monster, "Black Iron, kill him."

"Roar!"

Upon hearing this, the black-skinned stitched monster let out a thunderous roar, the next moment it sharply turned, its red eyes targeting the death mage, appearing quite agitated.

Suddenly, there was a second of awkward silence in the air.

After a brief silence, the death mage cursed loudly, pointing at Richard and yelling at the black-skinned stitched monster, "I meant him, him! Do you understand?! Him! Kill him!"

The black-skinned stitched monster seemed to finally catch on, slowly turning around, locking onto Richard.
