Chapter 323 - Chapter 323 Chapter 322 Escape and Obstruction

Chapter 323: Chapter 322: Escape and Obstruction Chapter 323: Chapter 322: Escape and Obstruction Seeing Richard attack, Mu Konni was alarmed. She didn’t fully understand the means by which Richard had killed Suo Men in a moment, but she definitely did not want to share Suo Men’s fate. The effects of the Spirit Shock had not yet completely dissipated, and the backlash from forcibly casting a First Circle Mid-level Spell was still at play. As Richard came closer and closer, she gritted her teeth and could only barely manage to cast a rather weak First Circle Low-level Spell.

“Whoosh!”

A fierce wind suddenly rose, and the air swiftly converged around Mu Konni, entwining near her and flowing quickly, forming an almost spherical defensive body, much like water currents.

Shaping Energy Wind Magic*First Circle Low-level Spell*Storm Prison!

This was originally a spell used to bind enemies, but Mu Konni had instead used it on herself. The advantage of doing so was that it could defend from attacks in all directions, and unless the spell was unraveled, she would not be touched at all.

Just as Mu Konni had cast this spell, Richard had already charged in front of her, clenched his fist, his eyes gleaming with a strange light, and silently aimed a heavy punch at the “Storm Prison.”

“Bang!”

The force of this strike was beyond imagination; with just one punch, the entire “Storm Prison” began to violently shake.

“Bang!”

Richard threw his second punch, and the entire “Storm Prison” wobbled uncontrollably, on the verge of dissolving.

“Bang!”

With Richard’s third punch unleashed, there was a “crash,” and the “Storm Prison” shattered. Richard’s fist, carrying a terrifying wind, struck directly at Mu Konni’s face.

Mu Konni’s eyes widened, she screamed and her body slid rapidly backward. With a wave of her hand, a ring on her finger suddenly lit up, emitting a pale blue luster as another new spell was quickly and reluctantly released.

“Whoosh!”

The moisture in the air gathered and formed into the shape of a large disk, like a shield set in front of Richard. The water that made up this shield undulated continuously, making the sound of “splashing” waves.

Shaping Energy Water Magic*First Circle Low-level*Wave Shield!

Richard punched without hesitation, feeling his fist sink into mud and being caught by a strange pulling force, almost unable to pull it back.

Richard inhaled sharply and punched with his other fist, “plop,” into the water shield.

Then both fists exerted force at the same time, “crack,” tearing the water shield apart from the middle.

Behind the shattered Water Shield, Mu Konni was extremely shocked but strived to remain calm.

As Richard charged towards Mu Konni again, she quickly retreated, a light flickering on her finger, and she was about to release a third defensive spell.

Richard rushed forward, but at that moment, his body suddenly shook violently, the strange light in his eyes dissipated, and his clarity returned–Richard had finally suppressed his emotions and resumed rational thinking.

Looking at Mu Konni not far away, Richard was extremely clear at this moment that he definitely couldn’t continue like this.

Absolutely not!

Mu Konni was different from Suo Men; she had not been overwhelmed by the Psychic Shock and still retained a fairly intact consciousness. Now attacking her, she would continue to defend. Because of panic and the prior influence of the Spirit Shock, the spells she released were weaker, seemingly being suppressed by him.

But as time went on, Mu Konni would notice the problem–that he didn’t actually possess the overwhelming strength of a wizard. Killing Suo Men in a moment earlier had pushed his strength to the limit; continuing would inevitably lead to a decline.

In fact, as of now, his body was somewhat unable to bear too much amplification, already frequently warning him with pain. As Mu Konni’s strength continued to recover, the balance of power would shift. If his attacks could no longer effectively damage Mu Konni’s Magic Shields, he would be in trouble.

From an emotional standpoint, he indeed should relentlessly continue attacking Mu Konni until he exhausted his last ounce of strength.

But from a rational standpoint, it was wisest to quit while ahead and immediately retreat.

The thought flashed through his mind, and Richard’s actions barely paused. He took a step forward, continuing to approach Mu Konni, his punch furiously forceful, as if it could swallow the heavens and earth.

Mu Konni quickly released the third defensive spell, forming a Pure Energy Shield in front of Richard.

As Richard’s fist moved forward, nearing the shield, his eyes showed an unstoppable madness, even more intense than before.

Mu Konni, watching Richard’s demeanor, was somewhat unsure if this third Mana Shield would really hold and began preparing a fourth Defensive Spell.

But at that moment, just as Richard’s fist was about to crash into the third Magic Shield, he leaned back, stepped backward, and retreated rapidly.

By the time Mu Konni realized what was happening, Richard had already retreated dozens of meters away.

This!

Mu Konni stood frozen, hesitant.

Richard retreated a hundred meters away.

Mu Konni finally reacted, “Damn it, that kid fooled me! He barely has any strength at all!”

Richard backed to the end of the street, rushed into the darkness, and vanished from sight.

Mu Konni gritted her teeth, her body ready to give chase, but before she could take a step, she suddenly sensed something, turned her head sharply, and looked in a certain direction on the street.

“Da da da…”

A series of dense footsteps sounded, and seven black-robed figures emerged, blocking Mu Konni’s path with ill intent.

“Who goes there? Get out of my way! I have business to attend to and no time to tangle with you!” Mu Konni shouted, brows deeply furrowed.

“I’m afraid–that’s not possible,” one of the black-robed figures stepped forward–a tall, thin man resembling a bamboo pole, who spoke slowly and deliberately, “You killed one of our own, and it took us over a month to find you. We can’t just let you go so easily. Not just for revenge, but for our dignity, and for the glory of our organization, for…”

“Shut up!” Mu Konni interrupted the tall, thin man angrily, her gaze still on the direction in which Richard had escaped, furious, and said to the thin man in black, “I don’t care why you’re trying to stop me, but I suggest you best have the sense to scram right now, or I’ll send you all to your deaths!”

The word “die” had barely left her lips when Mu Konni launched an attack. The mental shock she had endured while being delayed by the black-robed men had diminished significantly, and she struck with a First Circle Mid-level Spell!

The air surged and from the darkness echoed a series of eerie, ghastly howls, an odd atmosphere enveloping the entire scene and intensifying. Then, wave after wave of dark energy shot out like swords, aimed at the black-robed men who blocked the way.

As Mu Konni’s spell was unleashed, the black-robed men reacted with a series of shouts.

“Damn it, it’s Spiritual Attack Magic! Be careful!”

“Pay attention, defend!”

“Attack her, don’t let her get another chance!”

The black-robed men launched their counterattack–a giant fireball, an ice spear, and a glob of acid liquid flew swiftly towards Mu Konni.

Mu Konni scoffed coldly, waved her hand, and the third Energy Magic Shield that she had used to defend against Richard reappeared in front of her. Compared to its previous unremarkable state, the shield now flashed with dreamlike colors, resplendent and dazzling.

“Bang bang bang!”

“Boom, boom, boom!”

The three powerful spells unleashed by the black-robed men exploded upon hitting the energy shield, causing numerous cracks to appear as if it would shatter, but it held firm.

Mu Konni looked on with a cold laugh and said to the black-robed men, “Is that all you’ve got? If so, I’m afraid you’re all going to die here! A bunch of First Rank Low Order wizards dare to stop me!”

Having said that, Mu Konni was burning with rage. In her eyes, the Richard she had just encountered was probably no better than a First Rank Low Order wizard. The idea that Richard might actually kill Suo Men, deceive her, and then successfully escape would be an immense disgrace!

An immense disgrace!

“Go die!” Mu Konni, the angrier she thought about it, shouted out and waved her hand, releasing a powerful Spiritual Attack Magic.

“Roar!”

A cry echoed, and the phantom of a giant elephant emerged in the night, charging at high speed towards the black-robed figures.

In that moment, Mu Konni’s eyes were cold as blades, her face stern and murderous!
