Chapter 313 - Chapter 313 Chapter 312 Earl Level Bloodline Seed

Chapter 313: Chapter 312: Earl Level Bloodline Seed Chapter 313: Chapter 312: Earl Level Bloodline Seed Time flew, and in the blink of an eye, a month had passed.

The calendar on the East Coast flipped to July.

July, the frost month, brought cooler weather.

In the main laboratory of the research facility,

Richard was as busy as usual, his eyebrows slightly raised in contentment.

At this moment, leaning against a wall in the main laboratory, the number of Petri dishes in the culture dish cabinet had reduced by nearly half, all having been screened dozens or even hundreds of times. A significant portion was the isolation of particularly unusual mutant strains initially discovered.

Richard took these Petri dishes out one by one and placed them under a microscope.

When he observed a few of them, his eyes flickered, and he voiced, “Hmm, it seems like… it was successful.”

Successful!

After much time cultivating and screening, Richard had finally obtained mutant strains that met his requirements, and not just one, but two.

This situation had been anticipated by Richard half a month ago when he determined the direction for cultivating the two successful strains. At that time, the strains produced had a weak secretory function, only able to secrete minuscule amounts of functional liquid for testing. Now, however, the secretion capabilities of the strains had improved. This batch, along with the previously collected functional liquid, was essentially ready for real-world application.

Richard set aside several special culture dishes with strains, picked up a glass tube the size of a little finger, and saw it was already filled with more than half a tube of golden liquid.

Richard carefully opened the stopper, released the Water Droplet Condensation Spell, and controlled the functional liquid in the Petri dishes to fly out, falling precisely into the glass tube without missing a drop.

After completing these tasks, Richard plugged the glass tube, attached a label, and meticulously wrote “Divine Blood (Basic)” with a quill.

Holding up the glass tube against the laboratory’s light, he could clearly see the liquid inside reflecting a star-like brilliant shine. Richard knew that once this potion was used, it would unleash strength far beyond human limits.

After all, the so-called Bloodline Seeds, capable of unleashing strength comparable to Wizard Level, stemmed from certain glands in the body secreting this liquid. The liquid then stimulated the entire body, enhancing bodily potential, manifesting in a third-level power increase. Now, extracting this liquid through biological engineering offered a purer and more potent effect.

Unapologetically, with this potion, most Bloodline Seeds could be overwhelmingly surpassed.

According to Richard’s knowledge from books, Bloodline Seeds could in some ways be classified by noble ranks:

The lowest level, just awakened, was Lord Level;

A level higher, after consolidating strength, was Baron Level;

Yet another level higher, after enhancing strength, was Viscount Level;

One more level higher, after breaking limits, was Earl Level;

A higher level yet, after surpassing limits, was Marquis Level;

The highest level, upon reaching the ultimate, was Duke Level.

From highest to lowest, there are six levels: Duke, Marquis, Earl, Viscount, Baron, and Lord, which determine the strength of the Bloodline Seeds.

The Lord level is evidently the weakest; Gutas, who was used as an experimental subject, belonged to this level. Although he could unleash considerable strength compared to an ordinary human, the extent of his power wasn’t too exaggerated and a few well-trained soldiers wielding weapons could subdue him.

The Baron level was significantly stronger, not something ordinary soldiers could contend with. It required the deployment of powerful knights, elite troops, or a Sword Master, and they needed to wear armor, otherwise they might suffer severe injuries. The Tuo Tie that Richard encountered in the Battle Arena of Kairo City in Pu Aiji was of this level.

The Viscount level was even mightier, basically reaching the pinnacle of physical strength–a humanoid tyrannosaurus. Even when cornered, care had to be taken in response, otherwise the enemy might escape. The formidable black man Richard encountered in the Taboo Bookstore was of this level, and so far, the strongest Bloodline Seed he had faced.

Such beings were essentially on par with some Second-level Apprentices or even Third-level Apprentices. Apart from being incapable of casting spells, their destructiveness and aggressiveness were formidable, and their recovery abilities and reaction speeds could even exceed those qualities. Only a Peak-level Third-level Apprentice or an Official Wizard could defeat and subjugate them.

This was why, in the Taboo Bookstore, the formidable black man was so arrogant, thinking that “defeating him to enter the inner part of the bookstore” was the most difficult test. Indeed, if Richard didn’t use magic or a Magic Rune Ring, and solely relied on his swordsmanship, dealing with the formidable black man would indeed be difficult.

Moving upward, as for the Earl, Marquis, and Duke levels of Bloodline Seeds, they theoretically could contend with an Official Wizard. However, such individuals were exceedingly rare, almost to the point of making one doubt their existence.

Undeniably, Bloodline Seeds are a formidable power with significant potential for exploration, which is why Richard added “Basic” notations after the potion “Divine Blood.”

In Richard’s view, the current Divine Blood could almost bring him to the peak Viscount level of Bloodline Seeds and barely touch the threshold of the Earl level. As for higher levels, merely stacking up more of the potion would hardly suffice; further purification and improvement of the ingredients were necessary.

Perhaps with “Divine Blood (Intermediate)” or “Divine Blood (Advanced),” it would be possible to surpass or even crush an Official Wizard.

Thinking thus, Richard placed the glass tubes filled with “Divine Blood (Basic)” into his Space Iron Ring, then took out a few more culture dishes.

As mentioned earlier, half a month ago, Richard had already determined two directions for the successful cultivation of the colonies. One direction was “Divine Blood,” and there was another direction.

This other colony direction was a surprise and a delight. Over this period, Richard had continuously tested and confirmed the function of the secreted fluid from the colony–repairing damage.

Yes, repairing damage.

This kind of damage repair was similar to the “Accelerated Recovery” Magic Rune on the No.1 Ring, but more comprehensive, faster, and more powerful.

For instance, when treating someone on the brink of death, Accelerated Recovery was like a band-aid–it had a certain effect, but it was minimal. The new functional fluid, however, was like a powerful stimulant–potent and fast-acting, capable of saving lives.

Richard took out a second glass tube, which, like the previous tubes of Divine Blood, contained a majority of liquid, except the liquid here was red.

Red–the color of blood and life.

This made Richard think that this might be considered the Red Medicine of the current world.

Considering the variety of unimaginable effects this functional fluid had on treating injuries, recovering health, and stimulating functions, Richard preferred to call it “Life Potion (Basic).”

Once again releasing the Water Droplet Condensation Spell, Richard drew the functional fluid from the culture dish into a glass tube the size of a pinky finger, sealed the lid tight, and placed it back into the Space Iron Ring.

Having done this, Richard began to operate on the culture dishes: separating plates, adding nutrients, and further selecting the remaining colonies by their traits.

After a long while, Richard finished his work and turned to walk toward the experiment table.
