Even If I’m Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem -
Book 6: Chapter 30: Another Type Of Encounter
After parting ways with Skarst, Lilith couldn’t shake Ereya’s words from her mind.
“I’ve forgotten my friend.”
She had cried so sorrowfully.
To others, it might have seemed like nothing more than a child’s tantrum, but to Lilith, it struck a chord with her. Because she, too, had forgotten people—perhaps even more than she realized.
The difference was… she didn’t even remember that she had forgotten them.
“Which is more pathetic, I wonder?” Lilith muttered. Then, after a moment, she chuckled bitterly to herself. “What’s there to compare? Both are pathetic, aren’t they?”

Lilith stopped in her tracks, lost in a daze. She lifted her gaze to the towering building before her. Two majestic statues flanked the tall red gate, standing as silent sentinels.
Armed soldiers guarded the entrance, their hands tightening around their weapons at the sight of her unmoving figure.
This was the embassy—a place housing foreign envoys during the Great Celestial Rite.Lesiah was in there. Yet, after what felt like an eternity of indecision, she suppressed the urge to step inside and see her. Now… was not the time.
“I’m sure you must be angry that I ran off to participate in the tournament without you. And now, I’m walking away again without even seeing you,” Lilith murmured softly, though no one was there to listen.
“But… I have no choice. There are things I just can’t involve you in. Once this whole mess is over, I’ll come find you. This time, for sure, I won’t go back on my word. Wait for me, Lesiah.”
The wind carried her words away as a fleeting longing flickered in her golden eyes. A spark of black flame ignited. And in the next instant, Lilith was gone.
A few minutes later…
The door swung open with a creak. Lesiah stepped out, dressed in a white casual outfit. She looked around in confusion. She had only been napping moments ago when a sudden, palpitating feeling jolted her awake.
It felt like something… someone… important was leaving… forever. Following that inexplicable feeling, she got up and came out.
Lesiah turned to the guards. “Was someone outside just now?”
The soldier standing at attention quickly responded, “No, Your Highness! Someone passed by about an hour ago, but certainly not just now!”
“Is that so?”
The soldier had no reason to lie. Which meant…
“Was it my imagination?” she wondered aloud. “Or… was it you, Lilith?” she murmured in a barely audible voice.

“The black flame really does devour even memories.” Lilith played with the flame, watching as it flickered on the tip of her finger.
She knew that this harmless-looking flame was actually a terrifying force that could devour everything. And perhaps, even more than that.
“I’m starting to understand how the Dragon Eater had turned Cornelia into that state.”
Its power to erase memories and devour power could reduce a once-mighty deity into an ignorant baby. The sheer extent of the Dragon Eater’s power was terrifying.
“Hm? Wait… Cornelia?” Lilith slapped her thigh, eyes widening in realization. “Oh s̲h̲i̲t̲— I totally forgot about Cornelia! She isn’t back yet!”

“Eeeyah?”
Somewhere—where the stars shimmered in endless silence—Cornelia, finally free from the effects of God Attracting Incense, looked around in confusion.
Where… am I? What is this place?
Cornelia tried to retrace her steps home, only to realize that she had forgotten the way.
“Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah…”
Cornelia, whose intelligence was that of a young child, immediately began to wail, crying to call for her mother. But there was no way Lilith would appear here, in this distant, unknown place far beyond the Dragons’ Ancestral Land.
No one answered her cries. Instead, they attracted a colossal monster.
The monster drifted between the stars, its form a dark, amorphous mass, stretching and shifting like a writhing shadow. Its enormous, tentacle-like appendages curled around asteroids, consuming their ores for sustenance.
Drawn by the impossible sound that had pierced the absolute silence of the universe, thousands of eyes rolled in unison before locking onto the tiny, dust-like life form before it.
It sensed tremendous energy from this small being, yet she had no intelligence.
The creature observed Cornelia curiously, watching her cry until she exhausted herself from crying and fell asleep. And when she awoke, it watched her cry again. It tried to understand the meaning of this strange sound, but only heard “Mommy.”
That was the only word she could say clearly. However, it couldn’t understand why Cornelia only repeated that word. It could only assume that was something very important to her.
Then, one day… Tired from crying, Cornelia gazed off into the endless stars.
And as she turned her head, she saw the monster who had been observing her all this while for the very first time. Cornelia blinked at the colossal monster with thousands of eyes and countless tentacles…
She wasn’t scared, perhaps because she had been lonely for too long.
She reached toward the “monster,” curling and uncurling her tiny fingers as though she was trying to grasp onto something.
The monster was taken aback. For so long, Cornelia had only cried and slept. Its massive form quivered in uncertainty. Thousands of eyes swiveled in all directions as it flailed its many tentacles. In its panic, they smashed countless asteroids.
After a moment, it finally calmed down.
Cornelia was still trying to reach for it, staring at it with her wide, sparkly eyes.
As if making up its mind, the monster hesitated for only a moment before carefully selecting one of its many tentacles—the best-looking one. It slowly reached out toward Cornelia’s small hands.
Then, it froze as though it had discovered something. It looked around anxiously for a long time before finally finding what it was looking for among the broken asteroids—a massive chunk of ore.
It had always hated this ore because it was too hard to eat. But now, it needed it. Wrapping several tentacles around the ore, the monster pulled it close and fixed it in place.
Steeling itself, it extended its best-looking tentacle toward the ore shakily. It did not dare to look. Thousands of eyes squeezed shut all at once—leaving only two open. It pressed its tentacle against the hard ore… and began grinding it down.
It hurts! It hurts so bad!
At first, the intense agony made every other tentacle curl in on itself.
But the monster forced its best-looking one to remain straight and kept grinding it repeatedly until the once massive tentacle had been worn down to something small and smooth, just the right size—no bigger than Cornelia’s arm.
Only then did the monster carefully extend it toward Cornelia once more… and touch her tiny hand.
“Eeeeeyah!”
Cornelia let out a soft squeal, then grasped the tiny, smooth tentacle in her hand.
For the first time, Cornelia laughed heartily. Seeing her flawless happy face, the monster’s eyes widened in unison. Then, all at once, they gleamed with joy too.
Carefully, it used its tentacles to lift Cornelia above its head, placing her where all its eyes could see her at the same time.
Then, its countless tentacles stirred, shifting in synchronized motion. Its massive body began to drift forward, moving between the stars.
Let’s go. I’ll take you to “Mommy.”
