Chapter 30: In The Dragon Canopy Forest...?

Seeing the little figure in Mae’s embrace, imagination of elegant lady sitting on the elegant chair runs even faster than the speed of light itself, finally coming at the final conclusion of something that is not too far apart form the truth.

"You-your high...highness" With a choking voice and face as pale as a ghost, the elegant lady falls on her knees with her face against the floor.

"This..th-this humble servant asks for your forgiveness...your highness!" As if pleading for her life from a demon king, who has just sentenced her to death, she doesn’t raise her head, all while mumbling all type of possible apologies.

"Hun?... What should I do?" Seeing the elegant figure of lady mumbling apologies to me, for who knows whats, I asked to Mae, who is currently holding me in her arms all while having a dilemmatical face, as if her emotions are getting stretched between enjoyment and smirkyness, I don’t know the reason for it though.

"Hehehehe..You are the young master, Master. So, you should decide, what to do with those who don’t pay you proper respect....as for the introduction young Master, she is the general of the minor cities surrounding the scarlet city, she is in charge of everything that happens near or outside the citywalls, that is including the forest of dragon canopy, young Master."

Hun? In charge of minor cities? Does that mean we are not in the scarlet city? No wonder I can’t sense mama..hmm wait! Did she just say, ’The forest of dragon Canopy’?

Well if you are wondering, why I am so shocked, then the simple answer is that it has been the last thing I ever imagined to visit...because as per the name suggests, this city under heavy protection as several rare creatures live here, who were either nearly killed or hunted by other ferocious races, during the periods of great war.

Well special thing? After all there is also a whole one continent, just near to our dragon continent, where more than 1000 types of beast folks lives, after getting their habitat and community destroyed. Not to say that they were made into slaves while all the males were either killed or sent off to other places for manual labour, while the females were sold off in open market like domestic beasts. But well just after that they enraged the royal draconian family and well within few months, the whole world once again returned to peace.

Just there was a effect of war, which became more and more noticeable as the time paced, and that the scarcity of beastfolks. Most of the common and peaceful beatfolk had become a rarity in themselves as they all were given shelter by mother in an empty nation, along with security and all the rights of a nation.

But the thing is that they are all beastfolk, where as in this forest or part of our continent, known as ’The forest of dragon canopy’, several beast who were nearly wiped out off the face of the planet were allowed to live, of course by mama.

The reason, I have always been exited to visit this place atleast once in my lifetime is that here I can see all the types of beast which i just can’t find anywhere in the whole planet.

Beats like pure breed mermaids, rainbow unicorns, goblin emperor, and the most amazing one, a pure blooded emperor blood spider.

But the thing that is stinging me is why am I here, when I was told that I am going to outside world, for the first time....but well whatever.

"Hmm! You can raise yourself..." after getting whispered in the ear, what he should say by his personal maid, he utters those words with an unfamiliar awkwardness which he just can’t shake off becuase he is a prince and he will be always commanding others.

Reacting to his words, the elegant lady, named Chloe, slowly stands up all while keeping her head a bit tilted as if waiting for her Master to execute her.

"Hun? Mae... are we in canopy forest?" With a question mark appearing on his cutsie little face, Lucians asks Mae who is gently patting his head, as it rests against her more than ample boobs, making a perfect pillow for him to rest his head after Isabella, who obviously comes after his mother, aunt and sister.

"Yes.. your highness. Your are currently in the canopy forest,..’ to his surprise instead of Mae telling him, Chloe, with her bowed head, continues to explain, "....or rather at the beginning of the canopy forest, Young Master. From here on, whatever lies on the north-eastern side, Is part of the forest."

"But...but I wanted to go to the city!" As if he has been suddenly abandoned on the roadside, he tightly hugs Mae, asking for the reason of such a contradiction.

"Now...now young master, do be like that.." Mae, continuing to pat his head, slowly walks towards the closed gate with a sense of familiarity, which ofcourse causes chloe to move as fast as she can to reach the door to open it, before Mae has to stop patting him to turn the door Knob inorde to open it.

"Princess Lucy took some promises form her majesty in these regards your highness, like she would be the one to first take you out to the city for a tour by herself and other things.

That is why, we are exploring the city but the forest young Master...." sitting on the chair that appeared out of nowhere beside the dinning table, she make her young Master comfortable in her body chair before shuffling his hairs and asking, "...do you want to eat somehtimg young Master? Today, I have made something special for you young Master..hehehe"

Hearing something of value and not to say interesting, he looks in her deeps eyes, asking, "Special item?"

"Yes, something special young Master...Heheheh!!"
