Douluo: Transforming Xiao Wu into a Zerg Queen Was Just the Beginning
Chapter 120: Chrysanthemum Douluo Attacks – The Price of the Broodlord’s Intervention

Tang San’s heart trembled violently.

Sitting upright, he quickly asked inwardly,

“What’s going on, Broodlord? What’s that powerful spiritual force?”

Normally, unless something unusual happened, the Broodlord rarely spoke to him.

It typically remained dormant within Tang San’s body, never uttering a single word more than necessary.

After a brief silence, the Broodlord’s deep voice echoed in Tang San’s mind once again.

“It’s a powerful spiritual force… and somewhat special.”

“Special how?”

“It’s just like yours—spiritual energy of the same nature.”

Tang San’s pupils contracted sharply. His heart pounded.

Spiritual energy like his?

He had crossed over from another world, which explained why his soul was exceptionally strong.

Didn’t this mean… that person was also a reincarnated soul?

Who could it be?

Tang San immediately asked, “Where is he? What’s his power level?”

The Broodlord replied,

“He’s rapidly approaching our location. As for his strength… by my sensing, he’s roughly equivalent to the peak powerhouses of this world.”

Tang San’s heart skipped another beat.

A Title Douluo!

If the Broodlord’s sensing wasn’t mistaken, then this person had the strength of a Title Douluo!

But… why?

Why would a mighty Title Douluo come to such a backwater place—and so close to him?

This was no coincidence.

Tang San had a strong premonition: this mysterious Title Douluo had definitely come for him.

He suddenly looked up, frowning as he stared at the teacher who was still passionately lecturing at the podium.

There was no time to waste—he had to escape.

Tang San stood up and, under the confused stares of his classmates and the puzzled gaze of his teacher, walked straight out of the classroom and sprinted toward his dormitory.

The moment he left, the classroom erupted into chaos.

“Wow! That freak just ran out in front of the teacher—has he gone insane?”

“Who knows, maybe he really is just a lunatic or some kind of weirdo!”

The teacher’s face darkened, but after coughing twice to restore order, he continued with his lecture.

Outside the classroom.

The Broodlord’s voice echoed in Tang San’s mind again.

“It’s too late. He’s already here.”

Tang San’s running figure shuddered slightly, but his steps didn’t stop.

He asked inwardly,

“Broodlord… can you take him on?”

Silence.

After a moment, the Broodlord replied in a low, haunting tone:

“What price are you willing to pay?”

At the entrance of the Junior Soul Master Academy.

Chrysanthemum Douluo slowly stepped through the school gates. Watching the energetic young soul masters bustling about, he couldn’t help but feel a hint of nostalgia.

If he hadn’t transmigrated into this old man’s body, perhaps he too would’ve studied at an academy like this.

How nostalgic.

This Junior Soul Master Academy… how many protagonists’ journeys had started in places like this?

Chrysanthemum Douluo shook his head slightly and proceeded into the school.

Beside him, the head of the local Spirit Hall branch eagerly followed, explaining the academy’s history and layout.

Chrysanthemum Douluo raised a hand to stop him mid-sentence.

“This academy—did it recruit any students with innate full soul power this year?”

“Innate full soul power?”

The branch master paused, his expression hesitant as he replied awkwardly,

“Yes… but...”

Chrysanthemum Douluo’s eyes narrowed.

Found him.

Tang San is here.

“But what?”

Sweat broke out instantly across the branch master’s forehead. He stammered,

“It’s just… this student’s martial soul is a bit unusual. It’s… Blue Silver Grass.”

“So even though he has innate full soul power, he didn’t meet the Hall’s criteria for talent recruitment, so… I didn’t report him.”

“Please forgive me, my lord! Please have mercy!”

Chrysanthemum Douluo sneered, waving it off.

“No matter. Blue Silver Grass is trash. Even if he cultivates it to bloom, without the blessing of fate, he’ll remain a waste.”

“Him? He’s just a lucky piece of trash, nothing more.”

The branch master breathed a sigh of relief.

He glanced up at Chrysanthemum Douluo’s expression, puzzled as to why there was such hostility toward this particular child.

After all, even a Blue Silver Grass martial soul with innate full soul power was still leagues ahead of most low-tier soul masters.

But years of experience at high levels had taught him one thing:

Some questions are better left unasked.

Knowing when to stay silent is wisdom.

Chrysanthemum Douluo looked around the bustling campus once more but quickly lost interest.

“What’s the student’s name? Where is he now?”

The branch master pulled out a list and replied,

“His name is Tang San. He’s currently attending regular classes. He also has a teacher—Yu Xiaogang.”

“Yu Xiaogang?”

Chrysanthemum Douluo scoffed again.

Another piece of trash.

Tang San might be a protagonist blessed by fortune, even possessing twin spirits, including the Clear Sky Hammer—the strongest tool-type martial soul in the continent.

But Yu Xiaogang?

Just a theoretical hack who clung like a ghost to Bibi Dong’s past.

Even till the very end, he only brought her pain.

Chrysanthemum Douluo truly couldn’t understand how Bibi Dong had ever fallen for someone like that—unless it was just narrative manipulation.

Without wasting more thought, he instructed the branch master and several teachers to lead the way to Tang San’s classroom.

Knock knock knock!

Dressed in black robes, the branch master entered the classroom and interrupted the teacher mid-lecture.

Scanning the students, he asked:

“Which of you is Tang San?”

Rustle—!

All the students turned in unison to look at a boy in the corner, his expression cold, with black hair and dark eyes.

The branch master smiled kindly.

“Tang San? Could you come with me for a moment?”

The teacher, clearly confused, asked,

“This is…?”

The branch master chuckled,

“Ah, pardon me. I’m the head of the Spirit Hall branch in the Fasno Province. I need to borrow this student briefly—nothing to worry about.”

His smile seemed harmless, but to the teacher, it felt overwhelming.

The teacher quickly changed his demeanor and bowed slightly.

“O-of course, sir. Go right ahead!”

By this time, Tang San had already walked up to the branch master.

Every nerve in his body was tense.

Damn it! They’re really here for me!

He asked inwardly,

“Broodlord… is it him?”

“No.”

Even the branch master wasn’t the one?

Then… who was it?

Tang San wracked his brain but couldn’t recall ever crossing paths with a high-ranking figure who’d seek him out like this.

The branch master took Tang San’s hand and led him out of the classroom.

The other students all looked on with envy as he left.

To be singled out by the Spirit Hall’s branch master?

That freak… his life was about to soar.
