Chapter 1516 863: Lanci's Way Home

Two weeks later.

It is the end of December.

On a winter morning in the southern part of the Cerryti Empire, Bulida's First Station gradually awakens in the dawn.

The station is located at Ducal Oseta Square in the northern part of Bulida City near the central urban area. It was built 134 years ago, designed by the empire craftsman of Half-Demon origin, Ulti Strezini. Due to reconstruction and city planning issues at the time, it took over a decade to complete and be put to use.

"When I first arrived at this station, Nikola was the one who received me."

Lanci walked on the square outside the station, telling his companions, Isatia and Migaya.

"That's impressive, the Director of the Empire's Special Operations Department personally received you in Bulida."

Isatia clapped her hands and said.

"Deserves to be a noble's husband."

Migaya also praised just like Isatia.

"No, Duke, what the heck is a noble's husband?"

Lanci noticed Migaya's way of addressing him adaptively changed under different circumstances these days.

If Migaya was in front of Hyperion, she would act a bit like an elder and directly call Lanci's name.

If Sigrid was present, Migaya would probably consider Lanci a colleague, be closer to him, akin to how Tolyado interacted with Lanci.

And now with only Talia present, Migaya directly called him brother-in-law.

Lanci suspected Migaya was a super actor deliberately teasing him, whereas Isatia was still agonizing over how to address him; Migaya had already developed adaptive familial terms.

"Nikola almost put silver handcuffs on you back then, let alone receiving you."

Talia walked in the back and didn't wait for Migaya to speak before she unkindly pierced through Lanci's earlier statement.

She clung to Lanci that day, watching as Lanci and Nikola wits battled fiercely, her heart raced, but Lanci's did not.

"Meow, meow, back to this station again."

Cat Boss rested on Lanci's hand, gazing at the Bulida's First Station at the end of the square.

Sandstone walls in a light grey form towering walls of the station, steps distinctly connected to the square. In front were eight giant round arch windows, embedded with Cyrus Royal's stained glass. The patterns on the windows shifted with the sun's movement, depicting the legends of twelve hours.

To the side of the heavy metallic doors at the central entrance, stood two majestic black stone lions, guarding the peace of this station.

The station's roof was covered with bronze panels, streamlined lines extending from the towering bell tower to the main building.

Stepping into the station hall, it truly felt sorrowful at the parting moment.

Today was the day they left Bulida, finally embarking on the return journey to their homeland, Hutton Kingdom.

However, since everyone's method of coming to Bulida varied, there were now mainly three different routes back to Hutton.

Like Hyperion and several of the Great Demon Clan's return routes are through the alliance's regular channels.

They departed last night to Thuringian Province in the northeastern part of the Crayney Empire, Nistrello City, which was different from Lanci's return route.

Lanci and Talia's visas are still in Poseen Kingdom, and many identification documents were left in the hands of their friend General Nigel in Flower Capital Pariel, so they must first make a trip to Pariel, report to Nigel, and then return home triumphantly.

Sigrid also had visa issues; to get the official Hutton Kingdom customs transit record, Tolyado had to send her back to Nanwantina route.

"Sigrid departs the latest but might be the first to arrive."

Talia walked with Lanci on the hall level, calculating, estimating Sigrid would likely return to Boss Cat Restaurant first; Cat Boss had already written the boarding letter, then Sigrid could hand it over to Asina and easily move into the second floor.

Tolyado and Abigail had plans to go to Ichrite's Dimensional Branch, but since it involved a play, they would probably arrive a little later.

"After all, Dimensional Express arrives immediately after booking, and she directly uses a spatial gate to go back, so she arrives as soon as she departs."

Lanci also considered using Dimensional Express to go back, but was vetoed by the Dimensional Bishop, who resolutely stopped selling long-distance eighth-order tickets.

"I just said Tolyado should send us all back, how convenient."

Isatia confidently said.

"Then he might really run away."

Migaya shook her head, found the direction of the platform based on signs.

Tolyado adhered to the commercial norms of the Dimensional Branch to secure sending Sigrid back to Hutton.

If Isatia caught Tolyado to have him sequentially teleport everyone back, Tolyado would never agree.

"At least Tolyado is Cardinal Bishops, those spells are top-tier strategic resources in the military industry, converting them for civilian use would be too luxurious, we'll take the train back, it wouldn't be much delay."

Lanci felt it was nice to admire the scenery along the way.

Anyway, there was no rush, wherever they went, it was a rest.

This period they had been playing around in Bulida, replenishing all the previously missed vacations.

Although several familiar faces from the War God were also on vacation, but War God's presence at the station easily garnered attention; hence they especially came last night to Saint Kray Temple to find them, as a send-off.

"Guess it'll be hard to meet everyone so easily in the future, meow."

Cat Boss felt quite nostalgic for these temporary comrades.

Everyone faced life and death together to overcome the last hurdle.

Its fondest memory was of that Cat-man Clan sister, who showed it unexplained affection, making it feel somewhat embarrassed.
