Chapter 63: Inside The Water

After getting their clothes off, the two dive into the water.

Diana held a dagger in hand while going into the water.

Inside the water were little fishes and eels.

They went deeper and deeper while holding their breath.

And after reaching a comfortable depth they stopped.

David gave Diana some distance, about seventeen meters to her right.

Floating in the water Diana took her dagger to her left hand and slowly, she cuts her palm open.

The blood from her hand disperses slowly into the water.

Gradually it went down, deeper and deeper and suddenly the water vibrates.

"Its coming." David thinks to himself as he looks at Diana.

Diana waits patiently.

Something was coming for her.

She did nothing but look into the dark depths floating patiently.

Faintly she began to see the huge eyes of something approaching her.

She couldn’t make out it’s whole structure but she could tell it was the monster.

It was moving towards her very fast.

As it got to her it’s jaws opened wide.

It could swallow her whole if it wanted to.

Moving with extra force to push against the resistance of the water she manages to dodge it just as it was about to clamp down its jaws.

It shuts its jaws and with her right hand she grabs unto one of the pointed teeths of the Beast.

Swimming through the water it stems out of the water with her hanging by its teeth and then plunges back into it.

Moving deeper into the water still grabbing unto the tooth of the Monster, Diana tries to stabilize herself.

She pulls herself to try and get on to its head.

She gets on its head as it began moving around vigorously.

She held unto its whiskers to maintain her balance on its head.

After a while she thinks to herself;

"I need to do this now, this cut is too small."

She was about to use her both hands to slam into the side teeth of the monster so her blood could seep into its mouth but then, she suddenly feels a sharp pain in her chest.

She clenches her fist to her chest and then she felt another pain in her lower abdomen.

She began to loose balance due to the pain she was feeling.

David sees this and immediately starts rushing over to her.

As he gets to her she falls off the head of the Beast and he manages to catch her in his arms.

But now, he was in a water with a level ten Water based Spirit Beast while also having someone in his arms he had to protect.

He immediately began going the opposite way of the Beast, towards the surface.

He was moving incredibly fast but the Beast was gradually gaining up to them.

He was close, he could see the rays of the sun light.

"Yes!" He thought to himself.

But as he gets closer to the surface blocking the rays of the sunlight comes a big red scaled body.

"What the fuck? They were two?" David thinks to himself as the face of the second Beast shows itself.

Diana who was in his arms was passed out shaking in his arms.

"Though she is an Early Peak I can’t keep her in here anymore than two minutes or she’ll drown." He thinks to himself.

He looks to his back and sees the other Beast gaining up to him.

On a straight line between the two monsters towards the waterfall he began moving very fast, away from them both.

They followed behind and were gaining up to him fast.

As he swam away from them he moved towards the surface.

Getting close the water fall moving became harder due to the ripples from the high pressure from this great water fall.

He surfaces his head and notices something behind the water fall.

He got back into the water and started moving.

He had slowed down by a lot and the beasts were gaining up to him.

As he goes under the water fall he couldn’t sense the Beasts again but he knew they were still coming.

After coming out from under the water fall and surfacing his upper body, he sees a cave which he had barely noticed earlier.

He quickly throws Diana into it and tries to leap out the water with no foothold but with only force against the water.

He was about to try when something pushes him out of the water high into the air.

He began falling fast and below him were the mouths of the two Spirits Beast wide opened just at the surface of the water waiting for him to fall in.

He kept falling but just before he falls in, he kicks against the mouth of one of the monsters using that force to push him into the cave.

Slowly, as he fell into the cave, with a smile he pulled out his right hand and with all his fingers down except his his middle finger he said;

"Fuck you."

He lands hard on the ground of the cave.

He groans in pain as he tries to sit up.

He looks towards the entrance of the cave and sees one of the monster staring down at him.

The cave was too small for it to enter so it turns and vanishes into the water fall.

David heaves a sigh of relief.

He turns to Diana and sees her coiled up shivering.

He immediately rushes to her and as he touches her on reflex he removes his hand.

Her whole body was ice cold.

"What is going on?" He says to himself.

Back at the Ximen Clan, the day after the Late Peak which survived David’s lightning came to the Clan.

In a room we see the Grand Elder seated seeping his tea.

Across the table was the Late Peak sitted with his back bent.

He was wrapped in white linen from head to toe.

"So, what you are saying is that Ximen Yeong killed the First Young Master Ximen Jong?" The Grand Elder asks as he places his cup on the table.

"Y...yes Sir." The Late Peak replies.

"Hmmm, what is your name?" The Grand Elder asks.

"You can call me Brotae sir." The Late Peak says.

"I see, so Brotae, tell me more about this night." The Grand Elder says as he takes another sip out of his cup of tea.
