Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister
Chapter 58: Getting an Inn

Chapter 58: Getting an Inn

P.O.V - David.

While passing through the path where the poisonous fog was placed, we could see the dead bandit pushed to the sides by the guards.

The trees around were withered and on the ground were dead little rodents and insects.

"Is the poison fog used by you guys that lethal?" I ask Dang So who was riding on the horse while I walked.

"Well, the poison on exposure, causes nausea, partial blindness, coughing and blood clotting, thereby causing pain.

For smaller animals, it is completely fatal, for humans, if not treated or the poison is not pushed out early, then it would be lethal, but for the Dang Clan which specializes in poison arts, one could remain in the fog for two minutes plus without being affected and even after then, it could just be pushed out since we are masters at poison manipulation." She explains.

"Ohhh, I see, that’s cool, thank you." I say.

"Yhh, no problem." She replies.

We continued the journey for another five hours and finally, Yangzo was in view.

After about another three hours, we finally got to Yangzo and everywhere was already getting dark.

We immediately began to find an inn and we found one.

At the ground floor was a kind of canteen while the two up floors where for lodging.

It was perfect cause I was starving.

The head guard went and got us rooms.

They moved their stuffs into the rooms while I waited on the ground floor.

After a while they come back down.

"You didn’t go check your room?" Dang So asks.

"Any room is fine, as long as I can lay my head and sleep." I say.

As I say this she looks at me weirdly.

Her eyes were fixed on me.

They looked sad for a moment.

Like I said something wrong.

"Sorry, did I say something wrong?" I ask.

She immediately turns away her face.

"Ohh, it’s nothing, just reminded me of someone." She says as she walks away to sit on a seat in an empty table.

The guards go have their seats nearby while I go seat alone.

The Patriarch and Second Elder sat with Dang So.

After a short while the waiter comes to take our orders.

After taking our orders the waiter goes back to get them.

After about five minutes two other waiters come with our orders.

"Finally, time to dig in." I said to myself.

"Ohh? Isn’t this Miss Dang Ki So?" A young male’s voice is heard and laughing from people around him follows through.

I look up and to their direction and I see a young male with dark brown hair and brown eyes about three or four years older than Dang So standing with a group of people who were probably his friends along with some guards.

He looked about 5’11 feet tall.

"Ohhh, the Patriarch is also here, Good evening Sir Patriarch, I hope I am not disturbing you sir?" He says with a little bow, his tone contained a hint of mockery.

What is going on here.

Who is that young boy to speak to the Patriarch of the Dang Clan in such a manner.

"Why are you here Vora Min?" The Patriarch asks.

Is he really taking that?

Woah!

"Ohhh, it’s nothing, we just you know, since our Clan has been on the rise for a while now, we caught the eye of the Golden Manor Merchant group, and we are here to you know, sign a business deal with them." He says with a smug face.

"I can only wonder what could have brought the oh so great Dang Clan to this land." He says with that annoying tone of his.

"That, is none of your business little child of the Vora Clan." Dang So states bold and clear.

I could see the surprise on the faces of that child Vora Min and his friends.

"What? who you think you are talking to little girl." He says as he raises his left hand to hit Dang So.

Before he could hit her, Dang So pushes his hand away while standing up and in an instant she had a dagger pointing right in the neck of Vora Min.

The tip of the dagger was touching the skin of Vora Min.

At the sight of this his guards pull out their swords and point it at Dang So.

In response the guards of the Dang Clan also pulled out their daggers holding it close to the neck of the Vora guards and up above, right above the foreheads of all the Vora guards, Vora Min and his friends were long needles floating, ready to strike down at any point.

From where I sat I could feel Vora Min’s heart racing.

"Wha...what is the meaning of this Patriarch." He asks with his hands in the air and Dang So still with a dagger to his throat.

This time his voice contained a little bit of fear and annoyance.

"I think it would be best for you to go back for today Vora Min, I will pay your father a visit when we return." The Patriarch says, his voice cold and firm.

Now that is a Patriarch of the Dang Clan I know.

"Are you..." Vora Min tries to say something.

"I said you should return!" The Patriarch says, this time his voice deeper but not loud and the needles draw nearer to their foreheads almost making contact.

Vora Min looks at the Patriarch for a while.

He looked scared and annoyed at the same time.

"Lower your weapons." He orders his guards.

Slowly they lowered their weapons and the guards of the Dang Clan slowly withdrew.

Dang So was the only one left standing with her dagger still pointing at Vora Min whose hands were still up in the air.

"Dang So." The Patriarch calls out to her in a calm deep voice.

Slowly she withdrew and took her seat.

"Lets go!" Vora Min says and slowly they backed away from the needles above their heads.

After going back a safe distance they turned and left with Vora Min glaring back at Dang So.

"Dont forget this Dang Clan." He says as he leaves.
