Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister -
Chapter 54: Waking up In a Carriage.
Chapter 54: Waking up In a Carriage.
P.O.V - Diana.
After about two days of our journey, we came across a young boy passed out on our path.
The guards were just going to put him at the side so we continue our journey but for some reason I wanted to take a look.
I came down from the carriage and saw the boy passed out on the ground.
He looked really rough.
He had a faint scratch mark that looked like it had barely healed.
There were leaves in his black hair and his clothes were tattered.
What could he have possibly gone through.
Hmmm, now that I look closer...
"He looks kinda cute." I say to myself.
Huh? what am I saying right now.
"I think we should take him with us." I say to the Patriach who was still in the carriage.
"But Miss Dang So, he could be a bandit, they usually set up traps like this." One of the guards said to me.
Hmmm, that is true.
But he looks just about the same age as me, though bandits don’t deal with age.
Maybe we shouldn’t.
I was about to turn and leave when I noticed something on his index finger of his left hand, it was a storage ring.
That thing is too expensive for a bandit to wear.
Even among the Green Forest stronghold there are very few who could possibly wield such, and then for a child such as this to weild such, naaaa.
"Patriach, I think we should take him along, besides, we have you and our able Second Elder, what could possibly happen." I say.
The Second Elder scoffs and looks away.
"Well, if that’s what you really want to do, then fine." Dang Woon says to me.
The guards help him unto the carriage.
There wouldn’t have been enough space since he had to lay in the carriage so I decided to ride on horse back.
By the time the sun was setting we stopped our journey to set camp for the night.
The guards set up the tents and I gave some assistance.
The Patriarch and the Second Elder along with a guard stood beside the Cart waiting.
I went to meet them when something suddenly dashed out the door of the Cart.
I tried to react as fast as I could but it was too unexpected I couldn’t react on time.
T.P.P
Diana was walking towards the carriage when something suddenly dashes out of it.
It was David.
Too fast for anyone to react he took out a dagger hanging by the waist of the guard and proceeded to hold Diana hostage with the dagger by her neck.
All this happened and no one could react except Diana who’s hand was already on her dagger but David had already gotten her.
The guards and the Patriach try to calm him down.
"Wait wait, what are you doing young boy?" The Patriarch asks.
David looked disheveled.
He wasn’t sure what was going on since he suddenly woke up in a carriage and there were several people outside of the carriage, but on instinct he had to get out of there or at least figure out his situation.
"What is going on and who are you people?" David asks still holding Diana at Dagger point.
"We are members of the Dang Clan, we saw you passed out on the road and decided to help you." Diana calmly says.
"The Dang Clan? Ohh, the clan that came alive after the Tang Clan fell?" David asks.
"Yes, that clan." Diana replies.
"And you say you saw me passed out on the road?" David asks.
"Yes!" Diana responds.
"But how can I trust that you are of the Dang Clan?" David asks.
"Diana looks at the Patriarch.
The Patriarch steps forward and pulls out a seal from his fabric.
"I am the Patriarch of the Dang Clan" He says as he shows the Seal carrying the name ’Tang’ with snakes carved between.
"I see, so even if you changed your name, the Tang remains in your hearts forever huh?" David says.
"Yes, and one day that name will be revived." Diana says.
"I see." David says as he gradually lets go of Diana.
As he lets go Diana turns and kicks him in the abdomen.
David blocks it with his arm but moves a meter away.
"That was for holding me hostage." Diana says as she goes towards the carriage.
David says nothing and just smiles.
P.O.V - David.
What a fierce little girl.
Though I probably deserved that.
I was never actually going to hurt her but I can’t believe I had to hold a little girl hostage.
I go over to meet the Patriarch.
I give a slight bow as I say;
"I’m sorry about the commotion I just caused and thank you for saving me."
"Thats not a problem, though the person you should be thanking is the one you held with a dagger by the neck." The Patriarch says as he points behind him to the little girl.
Ahhh, so she was the one who saved me huh?
I walk up to her.
She didn’t look away like any other girl.
She looked me straight in the eye as I walked up to her.
No smile, no frown just a plain face looking at me trying to read my next move as I walked up to her.
That is a little impressive for a little girl but why do I find it more attractive than it should be.
And with her white hair, she reminded so much of Diana just before she became the Demon Lord and her hair turned Red.
Though Diana wouldn’t be reading me like that.
And most of the times she always smiled when I approached her, except when I annoyed her of course.
"Ummm, I’m sorry about earlier, I was quite confused you see, and thank you for saving me." I say with a slight bow.
"Yes, that’s alright, though you should probably go clean up, you look like a mess." She said to me.
"Oh, yes, ummm, thank you." I said as I left to clean up.
I met one of the guards and he helped me with little water and clothes.
I finished cleaning up and I came to sit beside the little girl by the fire and asked her;
"Ummm, I never asked, what is your name?"
