Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister -
Chapter 52: Chilling with children.
Chapter 52: Chilling with children.
P.O.V - David.
After rescuing the children and returning back to the clan I had to continuously practice the Heavenly Demon Technique throughout the night to heal my body.
I had to drop the Spirit Beast in the mountain since it would bring too much suspicion if I suddenly appeared with one, though I do go to check on it every morning.
The following day everything was pretty much normal within the clan aside from the fact that the Young Master could not be seen.
At first it was dismissed as him just going out somewhere.
He wasn’t a child, he could be anywhere he wanted, but by the time it was night and he was still nowhere to be seen, due to how anxious the Clan has been since the Patriach went missing it was picked up as an issue by the time it was night and Ximen Jong was still nowhere to be seen.
For the next one week an intense search for Dang Woon was carried out.
Well all that had nothing to do with me.
For that one week I kept cultivating and in the evening from 4pm I go to see the children.
It somehow became a routine that we meet under that tree on the hill by 4pm everyday.
We played, talked and I told them a lot of stories.
I didn’t think I would enjoy the company of so many children to this extent.
Not all the children could always make it but they were never less than thirty.
Conan, he was the eldest amongst them all.
He was quite mature for his age.
He was eleven years old, two years older than Hwa.
Da Som was the girl who said she was going to marry me.
She’s so cute, she always wants to be by my side whenever we meet.
Sometimes even Hwa gets a little jealous.
Beom was one of the children, he had a bigger body than his mates
He looked like he would grow into a huge fine man.
Ae Cha was a quiet and shy girl, she said nothing most of the times and just listened with a beautiful smile.
With the little time I’ve spent with them, I could tell she has a crush on Conan.
Hoon was an outspoken young boy.
He was always cracking jokes or asking questions or just saying something.
Nari was a quiet girl, but she was very cold, she didn’t like speaking to anyone and saw most people as being bothersome.
But she never once missed our meetings.
And then there’s Byeol.
She’s mostly quiet but not shy.
I don’t know who thought her but she knows gymnastics, I don’t know what it’s called here.
She’s a very flexible girl.
I really enjoy the company of this children.
But I have a mission, I cannot get distracted.
After seeing them one evening I walk to my courtyard.
I had planned on venturing outside the Clan to train and search for treasures that could possibly aid my cultivation or boost my strength.
But I got distracted with my cute little children.
I walk into my room and began setting somethings in place while packing.
I was placing herbs in a little bag when I suddenly heard someone land in my courtyard.
The person began walking towards my room.
I pick up a dagger in my right hand and my sword in my left hand.
I waited patiently behind my door as the steps of the person drew nearer and nearer.
The door opens and I drive my sword through the air stopping right before the persons eye.
Why did I stop?
It was Ximen Jin, the First Elder.
"Ohh, First Elder, what are you doing here?" I ask him as I lower my sword.
He says nothing and peeps behind me looking into my room.
"Where are you going?" He asks, completely ignoring my earlier question.
"Well, I thought about just stepping out for a little training." I replied.
"Without informing anyone?" He says.
"Huh? I have never needed to inform anyone whenever I was stepping out of the Clan." I say to him.
"Yes, that might have been the case before but with the situation of the Clan right now, you can’t just be leaving however you please." He says.
What the fuck is this bastard saying.
He’s bothering me.
I wish I could just remove his head and be on my way.
No no no David, not that.
But why should I be bothered about the situation of the Clan?
"I see, so I just have to let someone know that I am leaving right?" I ask with a smile.
"Yes, that is how it should be done." He replies.
"Ok, understood Elder." I say to him.
"Good, now concerning what I offered the last time..." He states.
"Oh, I am sorry, but I am still thinking about it, I hope you could give me more time to think it through." I say with a little bow.
"Hmmm, I see, well I will be back again next week, be prepared with an answer for me." He says as he turns away.
He leaps into the air and flies off.
This old man, now everywhere is completely dark.
I’ll have to leave first thing tomorrow morning.
I went inside arranged my stuff and went to sleep.
I woke up before dawn and set off on my journey.
I climbed through the mountain and picked up the Spirit Beast, I had to give it a name so I called it Turbo.
I rode on Turbo’s back across the thick trees of the mountain.
We moved for over twenty minutes before stopping at a cave at the other side of the mountain.
"This seems like a good spot to get a High level Spirit Beast or treasures." I thought to myself.
And yes, there was a High Level Spirit Beast.
It was a Level 10 Black Scaled Bear.
I’m eager to get strong but not dumb enough to confront a Level 10 Spirit Beast in its territory.
Immediately I spotted it laying down I made a run for it.
But of course it had already sensed me before I saw it, it was only pretending to be ignorant to lure me in.
As soon as I started running it got up and started pursuing me.
I threw some daggers to deter it but they just bounced off it’s hard scales.
"Why the fuck does a bear have Scales!?" I yell out.
I get on Turbo and we ran for our lives.
The bear kept chasing behind us and it was gaining up to us very fast.
