Chapter 43: Back Home.

I kick Doka Min in the knee sending him down to that knee.

As he gets down to that knee I swiftly grab his head with my hands.

"Heavenly Demon Technique...Second Form... Raging Thunder!" I say with a loud voice.

Numerous chains of lightning surge our my hands right into his skull and spread throughout his body.

He screams loud in agony.

He grabs my hand and tries to take it off his head but I remain in place.

This goes on for about seven seconds.

My Ki was draining fast but I had to make sure I finished this now.

Finally after about eleven seconds my Ki was exhausted.

The chains of lightning stops as I drop to my ass on the ground panting.

Doka Min knelt there on both knees.

His eyes pale white looking up into the sky.

His body charred and steaming.

He slowly drops to the ground, dead.

After confirming he was truly dead I laid on my back panting.

"Fuck! I almost died again." I said to myself.

I close my eyes saying;

"Let me just catch my breath fo a second."

As I close my eyes I began to hear the growl of the beast.

I open my eyes and look back and I see the beast approaching the children who were holding down Ximen Jong.

The poison I had used was a paralyzing poison.

Maybe because of the poison or he was so shaken by my actions he was being held down by children.

Though many, they shouldn’t be able to hold down a First Rate Martial Artist.

Most were on Ximen Jong while a few including Hwa were holding sticks thinking of fending off the wolves.

Hwa was holding the dagger I had thrown at Ximen Jong.

I just sat there looking at them amazed.

Aren’t they supposed to be children?

I could see they were indeed scared but they were still brave enough to stand for themselves.

I heave a sigh as I got to my feet.

I slowly walked towards them.

I barely had any Ki left.

I was going to fend off that beast with only my muscle strength.

I pick up the last dagger in my arsenal.

The beast notices me coming and I expected it to attack me but it immediately bows whimpering.

"Hmmm, I seee..." I said.

The fear I instilled must still be registered in it.

But if that is the case, it wouldn’t have approached the children.

Or, maybe...

"Excuse me children." I softly tell the children who were holding down Ximen Jong.

Slowly they got off him, his arms, his trunk and his legs.

"Wa...wait wait, Ximen Yeong lets talk, I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking, wait please I can be off huge help to you..." He cries out to me, his right arm and the right side of his body were paralyzed.

I was so annoyed before I wanted to kill him in the most painful way possible.

But now, I just feel like getting this all done with.

David slowly raises his right hand about to strike Ximen Jong who was sitting, leaned away begging for his life.

David was about to strike when he suddenly stopped.

"Ohh wait, the children." He thought to himself.

He turns back and sees them watching him.

"Ummm, Hwa, could you and your friends look away for a moment? I will tell you when you can look back." He says softly with a smile.

"O..Ok" Hwa responds.

They all slowly turn their backs towards David.

David turns back to Ximen Jong.

"Wha...what are you going to do...wa...wait." Ximen Jong tries to beg.

But David strikes him in the chest, piercing his sternum and ribs and grabbing his heart.

Slowly he pulled it out as Ximen Jong’s body seemed to go haywire from the shock.

David pulls it out and above, at the base of the heart, was a large worm latched unto it.

It was the queen blood worm.

Killing the owner would result in the Queen dieing and once the Queen dies all the others alive in a host would go haywire, sucking on the life force and Ki of the host until the host dies.

After the Queen dies, a new queen would be born in the gourd.

David looks at the Queen on Ximen Jongs heart and he could tell she was slowly dieing.

He looks at the wolf like beast and sees it begins to react.

"I guess I was right, he really was using the blood worm to control it." David says.

It is known to be impossible to get rid of a blood worm but during their first life Diana found a way which was by using electricity or small chains of lightning to kill it within the host.

Even if one could weild lightning, it would be impossible because this technique needed precise control and a little amount of lightning else it could easily harm or kill the host without even getting to the worm.

David goes over to the beast and places his hand on its back, just at the level of the heart.

His hair slowly began to turn red.

"Heavenly Demon Technique... Second Form... Raging...Thunder..." David forces himself to perform the Heavenly Demon Forms even with the little Ki he had left.

Blood streamed down his nose and mouth as he tried to concentrate with his eyes closed.

A little spark of lightning is seen leaving his hand into the body of the beast.

It traverses from the skin to the muscles to the ribs, courses through an artery to the heart and at the base of the heart where the blood worm was.

It strikes the worm and kills it.

The body of the beast vibrates.

David drops to the floor after the process had finished.

"I almost died again, using the Heavenly Demon Forms with such little Ki and the state of my body was almost suicidal." He says.

His eyes began to close as his hair turned back to black.

He fell unconscious.

He wakes up two hours later.

He slowly sits up and sees the children sitting round about him with their backs turned to him.

It seemed like they were guarding him.

And in his front was the beast also guarding him.

"I can’t believe I passed out and let this children watch after me" David says to himself as he smacks his face with his palm.

The beast was the first to notice David had woken up.

It leaps towards him, pounces on him and begins licking his face.

David smiling, gently pushes the beast away as his tries to sit back up.

He looks at the children who were now standing turned towards him.

"Big brother!" A little voice is loudly heard from behind David.

David turns and it was Hwa.

She runs to him and hugs him.

He was surprised for a moment but he soon began patting her head.

"Thank you very much Hyung!" A young boy who looked slightly older than the other children says to David out loud with a bow.

All the other children repeated the same thing.

"Hwa told us you were her Hyung, that’s probably why you came, but even then you didn’t just protect her, you protected us all.

We are very grateful." He says again with another bow.

"We are very grateful Hyung." The other children say as they bow.

David was a little stunned but he was blushing.

He didn’t know what to say for a moment.

P.O.V - David

I sat there speechless looking at the children for a moment.

"Ohh, ummm, what is your name." I ask the boy who first spoke.

"My name is Conan." He responds with a bow.

"Oh th..." I was about to say something when a little girl’s voice interrupts me.

"I...I’m Da-Som." The little girl says out loud.

One by one they all began to tell me their names.

I sighed and got to my feet carrying Hwa in one hand.

Along with the beast I escorted them behind the clan to the hill just before their village.

As we got there we stopped at where we could see the whole village.

It was still in distress.

It was time for them to go.

"You’ve not told us you name Hyung." Da-Som says.

I smile.

"My name is Yeong, Ximen Yeong." I reply.

"Now you all should run along, your family must be worried sick, and don’t forget..."

"Yes, we won’t mention what happened to anyone, we’ll tell them the story we came up with." They all say cutting me off.

The all ran to their village after giving me one last bow.

I carefully drop Hwa on the ground.

"You have to go now Hwa" I say patting her head.

"Will you be coming to check on me?" She asks with that cute face of hers.

"Of course." I say with a smile.

"Ok ok ok" She says excitedly.

"I’ll be waiting." She says as she runs happily back to her village.

As she runs I notice there was still a little girl around.

It was Da-Som.

I look over at her.

"I...I am... I am going to marry you Yeong Hyung." She says with her face all red as she runs off.

"Huh?" I uttered.

I was confused for a moment before bursting out laughing.

"I need to get back and have a rest." I say to myself as I turn to take my leave with the beast.

I was done with everything right?

I didn’t leave any loose ends right?

"Yhhh I’m good to go." I say to myself as I left with the beast.

But I was infact very wrong.
