Serena and Cassie discreetly stole glances at each other, certain that they had crushed Brooke’s morale completely. However, nothing could’ve prepared them for the assault that followed shortly...

"Cut corners?" Brooke scoffed, "The only one cutting corners here is you, Cassie Crane!" She challenged boldly.

Cassie’s lip twitched, "Shifting blame won’t..."

But Brooke cut her off. "You know the truth better than anyone, about who really is cutting corners here. And just in case you’ve forgotten, let me give you a little reminder."

A nervous line of sweat ran across Cassie’s forehead, she had no idea what was going through Brooke’s head, and had half a mind to turn off the live stream before anything could happen.

"Oh, and don’t tell me you’re going to run away." Brooke’s prickly tone teased, making Cassie ball her fist under the table.

Serena scoffed, "You’re something else, is it her fault your friend is shameless enough to sell her body for a role? Shouldn’t she have worked hard for it instead? Look at Cassie, she studied hard and came out top of her class, while working in her father’s agency at the same time." she boasted.

The comments came rushing in.

Hannah chewed her cheeks and gulped hard, wondering if Brooke would be able to say anything back to the sharp tongued duo. She was just seconds away from taking Brooke’s phone away, when she cleared her throat and started to laugh.

Her laughter lacked any humor and it honestly made Hannah’s stomach churn from both stun and a bit of fear.

"Top of her class? Haha! That’s hilarious! And what class are you talking about? I’d like to know-"

Cassie chimed, "That’s enough, I don’t have time to talk with you anymore..." in the middle of her sentence, her angry mother snatched the phone and went off on Brooke.

"Why? Are you bitter? Well I’ll remind you! My daughter graduated the top of her acting class, she has a BFA in acting at YX university!" Serena boasted haughtily.

Cassie tugged on her mother’s sleeve, "Hey, that’s enough okay-"

But Serena went on regardless. "Even if her father hadn’t hired her at his agency, there were already other agencies lining up to hire her-"

Once more the comments were all praising Cassie, some acknowledging how prestigious her university was, and how amazing it was that she graduated top of her class.

Hannah pinched her chin. ’Why is Miss Brooke stirring the conversation this way? If she keeps this up, more people will end up hating her.’ she wondered, thinking of how to interfere.

However, Brooke had another plan up her sleeve.

"I see, it seems like YX university has lost it’s credibility, since just anyone can claim to be a former student and get away with it." She claimed, stiring up a lot of comments.

Serena snorted, "Oh? You’re that desperate now? You think I don’t know anything? I attended her graduation, and I have the pictures to prove it!" She said, despite Cassie tugging hard on her sleeve, trying to get her to stop.

Brooke narrowed her eyes and flattened her lips into a broad grin, "Are you sure? Then why don’t you post them? Post them now, and let everyone see it!" Brooke challenged, "Or else you’re too scared, because it’s all a lie."

"You-" Serena firmly pressed her lips together. "Fine." She reached for her phone on the table and searched her gallery for the pictures. "I’ll show you the proof, you insufferable-" her words were cut short when her eyes fell on the pictures from the graduation day.

True, there stood Cassie in her full graduation set-up, at the gate of the University, with her and her husband. But as she scrolled through, she realized something that she hadn’t the first time she took the pictures.

’W-Why the hell is Brooke in every single one of these?’ She panicked, just realizing that Brooke was in Cassie’s graduation pictures.

But that wasn’t what caught her eye. It was the fact, that the custom made graduation gown that the university handed out, had Brooke’s name boldly embroidered in golden font.

She swiftly turned to Cassie, who pinched her temples in frustration. Naturally, Cassie knew the truth, and knew that Brooke was egging Serena, just so she would mess up and Brooke could take full advantage of that.

"Well? You said you had the pictures right? Why not share them, be it on Cassie’s account or on the agency’s page. Prove to us all that Cassie’s so called achievements aren’t just empty words." She taunted, getting Serena more riled up.

Brooke went on, her tone sinister, "It’s very easy to throw words around, but without any evidence who can tell whose really lying. I mean, you say Cassie graduated top of her class, but is there anything backing up that statement?"

She waited for Serena to say something, but the woman was too stunned to muster up the courage to speak. At the time the picture was taken, Brooke hadn’t started working at her Luther’s agency, so they couldn’t claim she was just an employee.

If she dared to even post these pictures, it could reveal Brooke’s true identity, and if that springs up, so could her marriage to Ethan, and possibly Cassie’s preganacy!

Serena was sweating buckets when Cassie took the phone out of her hands. "You’re just deflecting the conversation from the fact that Sadie was caught with the producer for her newest role-"

"Cassie, did you know that YX recently updated their website?" Brooke cut her off. "They have an interesting feature, where you can look up the names of the past alumni. If you’re really telling the truth..." she grinned from ear to ear.

Cassie’s immediately understood what Brooke implied and felt some years of her life being taken off.

"Brooke-"

"Let’s leave the people to find out the truth for themselves. And let’s know who is really cutting corners." Brooke declared then left the live stream in utter chaos.
