Chapter 411: Chapter 409: Interstellar Travel and Future Prospects

The plan was really quite perfect, except for causing a degree of species extinction when it was implemented, no other flaws could be found.

Of course, the Taipu Civilization might never know that they had been silently and selflessly helped by an interstellar civilization.

Moreover, even if they ventured beyond their own planet, it was not certain they could leave their star system, let alone become an interstellar civilization.

Often, what limits a civilization from continuously advancing isn’t the objective environment, but internal factors within the civilization itself.

The scientist on stage pondered for a moment and responded to Zhang Yuan’s question, "As for the issue of rare earth deposits, of course there are some... The lands thrust up from the depths of the earth’s crust are always richer than regular areas."

"There are not many robots currently investigating that planet, and due to diplomatic protocols, we cannot carry out a high-profile survey. However, according to our satellite detection, we have already found some promising mineral sites."

"Captain, should we apply to the Taipu Civilization for related exploration, or should we survey it sneakily on our own?"

Zhang Yuan smiled, "From different perspectives, you see different things. We know this plateau area is important, but this civilization might not recognize its value. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been overlooked until now."

"Since the satellites have already detected some clues, there’s no need for us to go there and investigate in person, nor can we dig out some minerals to bring back. The help we have already offered this civilization should be enough. There’s no need to hint to them that there are mineral sites here, or that this is a spaceport... Even if we told them, would they believe us straightforwardly?"

"The make-up of a civilization is complex. Ultimately, their rise depends on themselves."

Keep it up, Taipu Civilization!

Dealing with the Taipu Civilization might take three to five years, as their satellite development has to start from scratch and couldn’t possibly be completed in a few months.

As for the subsequent trade items, the process is ongoing... Humans will sell them some simple technology, but that’s the extent of it.

Soon, inside Kunlun Mountain, a special report titled "A Great Earthquake" became the hottest topic!

In the eyes of many, the "Enlightener" had become a quite majestic, and deservedly revered interstellar civilization. Even if humanity wouldn’t emulate this "enlightening" path, it still deserved respect.

"Haha, I won after all! This planet really bears traces of the Enlightener Civilization. Lu Tao, our bet still counts, right? Take a look at this report, hey, stop playing games!"

A group of university students was shouting on the Starry Sky Port.

They would soon board the transport spaceship and travel to Taipu Star for interstellar tourism.

For these younger generations experiencing their first real encounter with an alien civilization, each of them was flushed with excitement.

"...A bet is a bet, how could I weasel out of it! I’ll pay for the ship tickets this time." The boy named Lu Tao, after reading the report, first stood dumbfounded for a while, and then readily admitted defeat.

"What an incredible earthquake, turning the impossible into possible!"

Chen Zheng suddenly said, "Do you think our civilization will become something like the Enlightener in the future?"

Lu Tao mulled it over for a while, saw several girls also looking over, and hurriedly said, "I don’t know, we’d have to be strong enough... At least with our current technological level, we couldn’t cause such drastic geological changes. If we were powerful enough to lend them a hand effortlessly, maybe we would do it too! Like taking care of little animals, knowing some wild creatures might not survive the winter, we would help them prepare a bit in advance within our capabilities."

"Our philosophy, fair trade, providing appropriate help. I think that’s quite good. Even if the civilizations we help still fall into mediocrity, there’s no need for regret!"

"After all, the vast majority of civilizations are mediocre, and even we ourselves are still struggling on the path forward. Being able to help other civilizations is already pretty good."

"That’s true! There are definitely friendlier civilizations in the universe, as well as more cruel ones. As long as we follow our own path, having a clear conscience is the greatest principle."

A group of university students chattered away carelessly, covering almost every topic under the sun. What a joyful time it was.

As they chatted, an announcement came over the loudspeaker in the hall.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please take note that spaceship M4456 is now boarding for takeoff. Passengers are invited to proceed to gate A12 for inspection. Please do not carry liquids, sharp objects, or prohibited items onto the ship."

"Hurry up, hurry up!" Chen Zheng hastily nudged his good friend Lu Tao, urging him to stop babbling in front of the girls.

All the tourists cooperated fully with the inspections before boarding the spaceship in an orderly manner.

Inside the spaceship, two people shared a small room, equipped with a circular centrifuge wheel, making the living quarters quite comfortable. Everyone had undergone education in common space knowledge, knew what items could be brought along, and understood how to live inside the spaceship. In fact, all these things had been trained in the Virtual World.

Then, the entire transport ship officially set off from Kunlun Mountains Port.

This interstellar journey would last roughly 15 days. The spaceship would take a leisurely turn in the upper atmosphere of Tai Pu Star, allowing people to truly experience the magnificent grandeur of a planet.

Even though the Virtual World Technology could offer a similar experience, virtual is virtual and reality is reality—everyone was very clear about this, and it felt very different on a psychological level.

It has to be said, today’s large transport ships, much like interstellar cruise liners, have an exterior circular centrifuge to simulate gravity, and their facilities are complete and well-equipped, making living aboard not as uncomfortable as in the past. There were all sorts of delicacies and amusement venues—everything you could wish for.

Inside the transport there was also a large-scale museum exhibition, dedicated to showcasing the culture of this trip’s destination—the Taipu Civilization. There was even a holographic concert by Tai Pu musicians, truly a cultural feast offering great value for money!

That’s right, one of the main reasons humans have traveled the void for so long was to have fun!

Pursuing enjoyment has become one of the goals of interstellar travel.

The five-day voyage phase passed quickly...

Joyful times are always so fleeting. Experiencing Alien Civilization culture, watching movies, listening to music—the time flew by.

Just as Lu Tao and Chen Zheng were enjoying an interesting foreign blockbuster, an announcement once again resounded inside the spaceship: "Dear guests, please pay attention. We have arrived at our final destination, Tai Pu Star. Tourists wishing to go on a spacewalk, please follow the instructions of the staff and queue up."

The two quickly turned their heads and saw a huge blue planet through the window!

They opened the door of the room and found the corridor teeming with people. The passengers weren’t only tourists but also large numbers of students.

The elementary and middle school students receiving Cosmology education were chattering nonstop; they were the happiest bunch of all.
