When the trio arrived at Woodstone City along with those officials, they rested there for the night at an Inn. Early in the morning, they left the city.

Before it was dusk, the trio returned to the academy without any incidents. Unlike when they had to delay during their arrival due to Viren and his goons, this time, there was no such delay. So, they were able to arrive at the academy in time.

As the trio arrived at the gate, the guards stopped them for an Identity check.

Once the guards verified the trio, they were allowed to enter the academy. The trio had to sign the book indicating their return. Once that was done, the trio went straight to the mission hall.

They had to collect the rewards before going to their dorms.

"Hello, we are here to submit mission completion", Aaron said as he placed the mission scroll across the counter clerk.

"Also, there is a report to be submitted regarding the mission", he said as he placed the report that they had written the previous evening.

The clerk raised her brows when she heard that they were submitting a report. This was normally not needed. Whatever happened when they were out on a mission was not something that the academy cared about.

They don’t care how the mission was completed, as long as it was completed. They would only care if the students crossed a line to complete the mission, like sacrificing innocents in order to complete their mission quickly.

Such actions are not condoned.

Otherwise, the academy won’t involve itself in how they achieved the goal.

Of course, though the academy may not involve itself in how the missions were completed, that doesn’t mean they would stay away if there were any anomalies or matters of importance.

What the trio took was a simple bandit elimination mission, where they learned that they were funded by slavers, who in fact were trading the captured villagers with the cults.

This was something of importance, and the academy wouldn’t want to get caught by surprise when that matter was revealed in the future. An incident like this was bound to make waves, and every high-level official in the alliance would know about it sooner or later.

So, it’s best for them to leave a report regarding what happened. Of course, they didn’t mention anything regarding their fight, just the information that was gathered from books and the two imprisoned drivers.

The clerk just collected the report and recorded it, and stored it.

She has no right to check the report. Her work is to check whether the mission was completed, which she did. She checked the mission scroll and verified that the mission was indeed a success.

Once the verification was successful, she stamped the scroll, marking that everything was correct. Once that was done, credits were transferred automatically to the trio, divided equally.

"You can check your credit balance. The credits were divided into three and distributed equally, well, almost equally", the clerk said, but Aaron didn’t care much about that.

He thanked the clerk and left the counter.

The girls stood aside in the mission hall while he went to the counter to submit the mission completion report. There were no separate queues for completion and for taking missions, but as it was evening, there was only one team that was submitting their mission when the trio arrived.

So, they didn’t have to wait for long, before their submission was verified and rewards were distributed.

"So, what are we going to do?" Diana asked as they left the mission hall.

Now that they had completed and submitted the mission, they were free to do whatever they wanted for the evening.

"I am hungry", Aaron stated, but he was in no mood to make food for the evening.

His mind was tired, and he was in no mood to do anything for the night.

"Hmm, I know this restaurant was started by a fourth-year chef this year. It was supposed to be the best and also cheaper than what it would be outside of that quality", Erika spoke.

"Normally, I wouldn’t be interested in eating outside food, especially after what we had for the last few days, but tonight, I am in no mood to do anything but eat and sleep", Aaron stated.

Diana nodded, agreeing as well.

The two led by Erika found the restaurant quickly, though she had never been here before, but she heard where to find it if she wanted to visit.

The food at the restaurant was truly delicious, as Erika said, and they ate more than what they thought they would. They were all hungry as they couldn’t eat too much at the village, nor at the Inn, where the food is of low quality. It wouldn’t have been satisfying to eat that, even if they ate food that could feed hundreds.

After filling their bellies, everyone returned to their dorm houses. It has been quite a journey, and everyone wanted to rest for the night.

They knew that what they had may not be sufficient to survive what is coming. They went to clear a small bandit group, which turned out to be a medium-scale gang. Then there were the slavers who were associated with them, and then the final culprits, the cults.

Now that they have caused damage to the cults, they might not sit silent. They might strike at Aaron and the other two. It may take a while to learn their identities, but when they do, they will certainly strike at them and their families.

So, all three called their families and told them what happened. They warned that the cults might retaliate for the loss. Even if they don’t go against the families for what happened, with how the cults were acting of late, they would sooner or later attack the places where their families live.

So, it was best that they disrupted the cult’s actions.

The trio decided that they would spend more time improving their levels, as in the current situation, the higher one’s level and rank are, the better their chances of survival, but that was for later.

Tonight, they would sleep in their beds after almost a week outside, where safety is not a guarantee, unlike the security in the academy. Though they slept, a part of their mind was always awake, fearing that something bad might happen when they slept.

When one is in enemy territory or even in an unknown territory, they need to be aware of the possibilities of what could happen if they put down their guard.
