Dark Evolution Begins with Marrying an SSS-CLASS Blind Monster
Chapter 94: Ember’s Monsterization (7)

Chapter 94: Ember’s Monsterization (7)

After the system told Ember about where her husband was, the girl made her way to downstairs.

The building in which Nellas’ house was, wasn’t actually a very tall and fancy-looking building covered in glass and mirrors.

In fact, it was a five-story building made from bricks and cement, and it was quite old.

However, that doesn’t mean it was weak and dirty. No, it was quite clean and neat.

The reason was the people who were living inside it, and they weren’t the kind who would just let a building decay and fall apart.

Also, that was the reason the stairs were quite strong and the walls were still standing, with colorful paints covering them.

Nellas and Marine’s apartment was on the second floor, and as one would exit their house, they would immediately be greeted by a cool or hot breeze according to the weather and the season.

Ember was just descending from the stairs with slow and precise movements while keeping her right hand on the railing.

It was her instincts that were giving her directions, and she was able to reach the end of the stairs.

The girl was walking barefoot, and her wet clothes were clinging to her skin.

She didn’t even bother to change her clothes or even wait for them to dry. Now small droplets of water were falling with each step.

Her red hair was sticking to her skin, and the tips were touching her exposed neck and causing a ticklish sensation.

However, the girl didn’t react to it and kept moving her foot forward with a calm expression on her face.

The blood stains had spread off and only faint spots of the dried-up crimson fluid could be seen.

Now, Ember had just reached the end of the stairs, and right after placing her feet on the first floor, she, with the help of the railing swayed her body and turned 180° to her left, thus entering the street.

There was a blue arrow in her vision which showed her which direction she should turn to reach her destination.

It would change its color when she was close to any turn that was needed for her to take.

The arrow was guiding her and Ember was following it without any hesitation, since it was the only thing she could see in her vision.

There were some people on the street and cars were passing by, and they were giving her strange looks due to the way she looked.

However, none of them made any comment or said anything to her and just watched her from a distance.

Some would even take a few seconds of break from their work to just see the mysterious girl in wet clothes who was walking around barefoot and had a calm expression on her face.

They all were intrigued, confused, and interested in what kind of show she was going to pull out.

They thought, ’Is there a hidden camera around here?’, or, ’Who is that girl? Is she lost?’

Various thoughts were going through the minds of the people, and as she walked past the street, she could hear their whispers and hushed voices, but, never mind them, the girl had more important things to do.

She kept following the arrow until it led her to a deserted place, where there were no humans in sight.

In Ember’s vision, the arrow was pointing downward, indicating that Nellas was right there in front of her.

Yet, she was not able to sense him and was wondering whether the system was just trying to trick her.

’Where is he?’

With her brows furrowed, the girl took a few more steps forward, and then suddenly the arrow began to point to her back.

’What?’

Before she could react, the system sent a screen informing her that there was a portal at her back which has disappeared.

[There was a portal behind you, when your husband entered, it disappeared. And I can’t reopen it.]

"Tch,"

Ember was still a bit skeptical and her expression showed her doubt, however, after some contemplation, she turned around and stayed just like that for a few seconds.

"System,"

After thinking about literally nothing, since her mind was just a blank canvas at the moment, Ember spoke.

"I don’t wanna say anything to you. I will also won’t take off the ring."

As she said that, a smile formed on her face, and the last rays of the Sun’s light touched her face, illuminating her smile, which looked like a bright crescent moon in the middle of the night sky.

"I won’t force you, and I won’t beg. However,"

After saying that, the girl closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"What would happen if Nell is in dire need of me and I am not there? If he gets injured and I am not there to save him, to comfort him, and to say, ’It’s okay, I am here’? Then, wouldn’t it all be because of your selfishness? I won’t blame you, nor will I hold any grudges against you."

Her tone was calm and gentle, and her words were so soft, it was as if they were melting into the air, and dissipating into the atmosphere.

"However, it would be you, who would be carrying this weight on your shoulders– I mean, your conscience, for the rest of your life,"

Saying it, the girl opened her eyes and took a few steps back.

"If you want to bear this guilt and the regret, then, that’s all up to you."

The girl didn’t say anything more and stood there, just like the beginning words that left her mouth, she was not doing anything and was not making any effort.

She was just standing there, waiting for the system to make a decision.

The silence lasted for a few minutes and the girl kept her calm before she began to feel a soft breeze hitting her face.

Then, slowly but surely, the breeze turned into a gust and the gust became the wind.

"Hah,"

The girl breathed and a screen appeared in front of her, and with a smile on her face, the girl read the message.

It was just a simple two-word message.

It read, ’Good Luck.’

"Hehe,"

A giggle left her mouth, and her head dropped down.

The system had just reopened the portal that was swirling in front of her, making the wind blow.

"Thanks,"

Ember raised her head and stepped toward the portal, and soon, she completely entered it and vanished, leaving nothing behind.

The only proof of her visit was the blue portal that was spinning.

Soon, it began to shrink and a few minutes later, the wind stopped, and the portal shrank into a small sphere, before disappearing from the world.

Leaving no trace of anyone being there.

...

..

.

Ding!

[Host, your wife is in danger!

She is on the verge of death!]

When Ember’s neck was grazed by the small knife thrown by the assassin, her husband had received the message.

It was at that moment that he received the message, and after that, he was no longer able to contact the system or get any information from it.

Since, the system had gotten busy regenerating Ember’s wound, and was using the energy to restore the damage.

"System, tell me what happened to Ember!"

Nell was worried about the screen that had appeared in front of him and disappeared in seconds.

The message had scared him and the fact that he wasn’t getting any response from the system was also making him uneasy.

He stood up from the ground, and a scowl was present on his face as he shouted.

"Tell me, what happened to my wife?"

He raised his voice and kept asking the system.

But, there was no reply.

"Shit!"

Seeing the system not responding, Nellas began to pace around in a circle while his hand was rubbing his forehead.

"Did Divine Slayer send someone to assassinate her? Did the bastard find out about her relationship with me?"

Thinking of the worst-case scenario, Nellas’ brows furrowed, and stopped moving, before raising his eyes and looking into the space in front of him.

"LUNÉA!!!"

Soon, a shadow appeared in front of him. It was Lunéa.

Nellas had seen her real form when she was fighting against the trio, however, she wasn’t aware of it, so, thinking that Nellas had only seen her in her shadow physique, the Vampire Queen remained in her Shadow Physique.

"Yeah?"
