Chapter 74: A Clash with the Lycan

"You will need to kill that."

The woman pointed at the creature and Nellas, whose gaze followed her finger, couldn’t help but stare at the creature for a few moments.

"Is that a wolf?"

The man asked and the shadowy figure who had her gaze fixed on the creature replied.

"No, that is not a wolf."

She said and a second later her eyes moved and her gaze fell on Nell.

"That is a Lycan."

Her words were filled with venom and a dark atmosphere appeared as the air around her thickened.

"That is a wolf that is cursed with a terrible curse. It was once a vampire, but now, he is not. He is a monster."

Her words were chilling, and the guy, whose eyes were staring at the creature’s furry, beastly body, gulped a little as the words left the woman’s mouth.

"The Lycan was a vampire who had betrayed his lord, the Vampire God. For that, he was punished. He was made to become a cursed creature."

She explained, and with his brows narrowing, the man turned his head and looked at the woman.

"Why are you telling me this?"

The man questioned and the woman shook her head a little as her words came.

"I just want you to understand the kind of person that you are about to kill. He is at least 50% stronger than a normal Vampire. He is powerful."

She stated and the guy’s mouth curved into a small grin as he said, "Oh, I see."

His reply was simple, and the woman, without uttering another word, took a step back.

Then, her eyes turned in the direction of the werewolf, and her cold voice was heard again.

"Alright, you can start now. I will be watching you from the back."

She told him and the man who didn’t respond immediately stayed silent for a few moments before his eyes moved to look at her.

"Uh... Um... I have a condition."

His tone was a bit awkward, and the woman’s eyebrows raised as her mouth opened and a question came out.

"Condition? What do you mean?"

Her confusion was palpable and the man scratched the back of his neck as he let a nervous laugh escape his lips.

"Yeah, so... I want to be alone."

He explained, and the woman, who still didn’t understand what he meant, tilted her head as a small frown appeared on her forehead.

Nevertheless, she didn’t speak, and the man, after realizing that she was waiting for him to explain himself, continued.

"I want to be alone."

Saying that he took a deep breath and his gaze moved to the werewolf’s body.

"I can’t concentrate when you are looking at me. So, please, leave."

He requested and a few seconds passed before the woman let a small "oh," escape her mouth.

"I see."

She said and her gaze also turned to look at the werewolf’s figure.

"I understand. Okay, I will go and hide—"

Before she could finish, Nellas stepped toward the shadow and raised his hand before waving it.

"No, you can’t. I need you to disappear. Like, completely."

He told her, and for a few moments, silence reigned over the place.

Nell wanted the woman to leave because he wanted to devour the lycan after defeating it and didn’t want his enemy to see his way of getting stronger.

The guy had no idea how the shadow woman was able to hide her presence when the first trial was going on.

But now, he didn’t want her to hide her presence or whatever.

He wanted her to vanish completely.

From his sight.

He didn’t care where she goes.

He just didn’t want her to see him fighting.

That’s it.

It may sound weird but he was not willing to risk it.

So, he asked her to go away.

As for the woman, she couldn’t comprehend the man’s thoughts, and not knowing the truth she didn’t realize that the man was suspicious of her and didn’t want her to witness his powers.

"What? Is there a problem?"

Her words came out of her mouth, and the man didn’t waste a moment to shake his head.

"No, nothing."

He answered and stopped for a moment to make a bit of anticipation for the woman before continuing.

"It’s okay, I am just not feeling comfortable with you looking at me."

Saying that, he let a sigh escape his lips and his hand reached his head as he ruffled his hair a little.

"Anyway, if you don’t want to go then it’s fine. I will try to fight him with you here. But, what if you end up ruining my plan again? Like what happened last time."

The man joked, and the woman, who didn’t respond, let a moment pass before a "Tch," escaped her lips.

"Okay. Fine, I will go. However, you will only have 10 minutes. Use that time to kill the werewolf."

She explained and her form began to turn into a shadow and was going to leave but before she could vanish, the guy spoke.

"Sure, miss Always Shut Up. And, before you go, can you tell me your name?"

A wide grin was visible on his face, and the shadowy figure, who was about to vanish, stopped as a word left her mouth.

"Lunéa."

Then, without waiting for an answer, her body disappeared.

"Lunéa? Huh,"

Nellas was a bit surprised to know the woman’s name.

When he had stopped his heart for a moment, he heard the conversation between the shadow woman and the Vampire God.

And from the way they were talking to each other, it seemed like they had been together for a very long time.

They can be a couple or maybe siblings.

Nellas didn’t know.

And he didn’t care either.

’Doesn’t matter. I just need her to stay out of my way.’

The man thought and turned his head to look at the werewolf.

The lycan was sleeping with his back pressed against the rock and his face was tilted downward.

’It’s a good thing he is asleep.’

The man couldn’t help but grin as he saw the werewolf’s sleeping form.

Because he is said to be 50% stronger than the normal vampires and if he was awake then his strength would have been even greater.

And with that strength, Nellas wouldn’t stand a chance.

But now, the werewolf was asleep and didn’t even have a clue about his presence.

Which was perfect.

’I can easily kill him. I just need a weapon.’

The weapon, which he was given to him before the first trial, had already vanished. So now, he needed a weapon.

’System, can you transform me into the Dark Zombie without activating the Dark Zombie’s Instinct’?

Asking the question inside his mind, he waited for a second before the system’s answer appeared in front of his eyes.

[Yes, the Host can turn into the Dark Zombie without activating his instincts.]

The man didn’t hesitate and ordered the system to transform him into the Dark Zombie.

A few moments passed and the man was now completely transformed into the Dark Zombie.

Then, he raised his hands and looked at his fingers which were long and had sharp claws.

’Hmmm, this will do.’

With his skin burnt, his face scarred, and his fingers sharp, he was ready to kill the sleeping beast.

10 minutes, huh.

That should be more than enough.

He grinned and started walking toward the creature.

It didn’t take long for him to reach the werewolf’s body, and once he was close enough, he couldn’t help but let his eyes roam all over the beast’s body.

’Hmm, looks good,’

He was looking at the wounds all over the creature’s body and the black veins spreading under its furry skin.

It looked bad and Nellas couldn’t help but be a bit impressed because it was proof that the werewolf was still at a low level which was for the best.

"Hehehe,"

He chuckled in a low voice and raised his hand as his claws moved toward the werewolf’s chest.

GUSH!

His hand pierced the beast’s skin, and a loud scream filled with anger and agony exploded in the air.

"Arrrgh!!!"

His sharp long nail had pierced the creature’s heart and the moment the werewolf screamed his arms and legs violently began moving.

His body was shaking and the man, whose hand was inside the creature’s body, didn’t move as he waited for the creature’s death.

But it wasn’t as easy as he thought.

Because the Lycan had a lot of vitality, and the moment his heart was pierced, he was brought back to his senses and a surge of rage entered his mind.

"GRRRRR!!!"

The lycan growled and his hand moved and gripped the zombie’s burnt neck while the other grabbed the hand that was stuck inside his chest.

Thwack!

In an instant, the werewolf pulled the zombie’s hand out and slammed its head into the ground.

"Gah!!!"

A groan left the zombie’s mouth and the werewolf, whose body was shaking, moved and pinned the zombie onto the ground.

His eyes were burning with hatred and anger as he looked at the creature beneath him.

"GRRRRR!!!! GRAAAARHH!!!!"

Roars after roars left the creature’s mouth and the zombie’s eyes narrowed as a thought appeared in his mind.

’Shit. The bastard is strong.’
