Chapter 64: Road of Regret

Meanwhile outside World...

Old man Issac and his assistant were going home because it had already gotten late.

Issac was driving the car while Luna was sitting in the passenger’s seat.

The lights of the car were bright and the road was quite empty.

There was no vehicle and not even a single soul could be seen.

The place was very quiet, and it was weird for such a place to be like this.

Since this road has always been quite busy. There were at least be a few cars passing by, if not people, but now, no one was walking and there were no cars either.

It was weird, but the woman didn’t care and just kept looking outside the window, while Issac’s gaze was fixed on the road, and he didn’t look around.

However, the silence didn’t last long, and the old man who had been looking at the road spoke, "Luna, are you worried about him?"

His voice was serious and the woman’s brows furrowed a bit as she glanced at him before replying, "Mr. Issac, he is going to die. Like, there is no chance of him coming out alive, so yeah, I am a little worried. Is that a problem?"

Her words were a bit harsh, and the old man couldn’t help but laugh.

"Hahaha, of course, it is not a problem. I was just asking. I mean, he is quite good-looking and it would be a shame if he died, right?"

Saying that the old man smiled, and Luna, after hearing him, just rolled her eyes and let out a small snort.

"Heh, Mr. Issac, it’s not like I was going to ask him for a date or anything. But," The woman paused, and her eyes returned to the window before continuing, "He was nice, unlike some other people. And, he didn’t give a bad impression."

The words she used now were not harsh and the old man couldn’t help but grin a little.

"Ah, is that so?"

He replied and the conversation was over. The silence reigned again as the car continued to move, and the further it went, the emptier the road got.

It was quite strange, and Issac’s face was getting gloomier as his brows were twitching.

’I am getting a ba— oh shit! No way! It can’t be.’

Suddenly, the old man’s expression became serious, and his foot stepped on the brake to make the car stop in an instant.

"What’s wrong, Mr. Issac?" Luna, who was not prepared for the sudden stop, asked.

Her hands were holding the seat, and her face was pale as her body was leaning forward.

"Luna, tell me. Tell me that everything written on the map that you gave to Nellas is correct. Tell me that everything was true."

The old man’s words were filled with nervousness and a little fear.

"Of course, why are you—"

The woman wanted to say something, but before she could even complete the sentence, her eyes wide opened, and a gasp left her mouth.

"Oh god, no way. No fucking way!"

The woman cursed, then in an instant, her face paled, and her lips trembled as she couldn’t believe what she had just done.

"Mr. Issac, I messed up. I made a huge mistake."

She was panicking, and her hand covered her mouth as she kept mumbling.

The map she had given was wrong.

Not only it was not accurate, but it was also the opposite of reality.

All the things written on the paper were not true, and they were the exact opposite of what was there.

It was a complete lie.

And, she didn’t notice that until now.

"Mr. Issac, h-he is gonna die. He is gonna die because of my mistake."

The woman was freaking out, her hands were trembling, and the old man, on the other hand, was also quite shocked.

He never saw Luna acting like this.

Even if someone was dying in front of her, she would never help them if they had done even a single bad thing in their lives.

If possible she would kill them herself.

Yet, now, her eyes were filled with panic, and the way she was mumbling and saying the same thing over and over again, it was clear that there was something wrong that only she knew about.

"Luna, what is it? The only thing you are worried about isn’t the wrong map, right?"

The old man’s voice was a bit urgent, and his gaze was fixed on the woman who had her face buried in her palms.

"Tell me."

"M-Mr. Issac, the thing that resides inside that dungeon, the boss of the 7th floor, its name is Vampire God."

After a moment, the woman finally replied, but her words were a straight arrow to the old man’s heart, "W-what?!!!"

"That is why, that’s why..."

Luna was talking, but her voice was a little shaky, and her face was completely pale.

She was scared.

Scared of something that even Issac was afraid of now.

"You are kidding, right?"

The old man was a little taken aback, and his eyes were fixed on the woman, as he waited for her to say; ’Just kidding’ or ’It was a joke.’

However, it didn’t happen, and the woman’s eyes were getting teary as she was biting her lower lip, before opening her mouth and saying, "I am sorry. I am really sorry."

The apology was filled with guilt and pain.

Yet, the old man didn’t say anything.

Instead, he closed his eyes and let out a heavy sigh.

"What have I done."

Saying that he started the car, and the wheels moved as the car drove toward the Blood Dungeon.

"It isn’t the time to be regretting. We should contact the guilds and inform them about this."

The old man’s voice was quite serious, and Luna’s lips parted a little as she nodded her head.

"I-I will do it."

Saying that the woman wiped her tears, then she took out the device from her pocket and started to dial numbers.

And, as the car kept moving, the night breeze blew making the leaves of the trees rattle a little.

The night was quiet, and the lights of the car illuminated the path as the two people tried their best to revert the thing they were most afraid of.
