Chapter 62: The S-Class Dungeon

"You hear me. I want to enter the dungeons that are considered to be the strongest and most dangerous."

Ryan repeated, and the old man’s jaw dropped, before he replied, "Do you know what you are asking for? Those dungeons are not the place for someone like you. Hell, not even the strongest heroes can go inside it, let alone you."

Issac tried to convince him, but Ryan didn’t even care about his words and just kept looking at him with a slight grin on his face.

"Yeah, Mr. Nellas, entering those dungeons is like saying, ’Come on death, kill me. I want to die,’ so, I think it is not a good idea. In fact, no, it is the worst idea ever."

The woman also added, and after her words, the old man couldn’t help but let out a sigh, before continuing, "Listen, Nellas. If you are thinking about getting strong, then I can let you enter many low-class dungeons. But, entering the one you want to enter, is the same as suicide. So, think wisely."

Issac said and his assistant also nodded her head, saying;

"I also suggest you give up the idea of going in there."

She supported her boss, but Ryan, on the other hand, wasn’t affected and rather than agreeing with them, he pointed out, "Old man, I thought you didn’t like me. You know, a moment ago your face was saying, ’I hope you get electrocuted.’ but now, why are you acting as if we were friends? What happened?"

The question was asked in a joking manner, but the woman couldn’t help but giggle as the guy was right, and the old man was indeed acting as if they were close.

However, Issac didn’t bother answering, instead, he just gave the guy a serious look, before asking, "So, you are still going to go there?"

He may have disliked Nellas, but that didn’t mean he would want the guy to die.

No, the old man wasn’t a bad person, and the same was true for the woman who was also looking at Ryan with a concerned expression.

At the same time, they weren’t good people either.

They had killed many people, and their hands were filled with the blood of innocent ones.

Nevertheless, their intentions were not evil, and what they did, was something that was needed.

The world was not perfect, and sometimes, bad people were necessary.

That was what the two were.

They were bad, and their actions were wrong.

But, at the same time, their actions were needed.

After all, not everything could be solved by talking or reasoning.

Some things, or rather, some people were better off dead.

The woman knew that, and Issac was no different, even him using his powers for only himself had a big reason behind it.

And, that was—

"Of course," Ryan replied, and the old man’s lips parted as he wanted to say something, but, "Wait!" Ryan stopped him, and Issac couldn’t help but frown.

"What now?"

He asked, and his voice was a bit impatient, as he was getting sick of talking to the young man.

"Well, I am saying, if I go in there and get out alive, I will hand over everything I would have gained there to you, how does that sound?"

With a wide smile, Ryan said, and the old man’s eyes widened as his brows also twitched.

Everything from a high-class dungeon?

It was quite a tempting offer, and the old man was not an idiot.

He knew the risks and was aware of the power of the monsters who resided in the dungeons he owned.

And since the dungeon was out of his league, he had no chance of controlling them, which meant, no matter how many times he entered it, he could never get a good item.

Yet, Ryan’s offer was very tempting, but, the chances of Nell coming out alive were not just slim, they were non-existent.

Therefore, it was certain death.

However, the desire to gain everything from the dungeon was not something the old man could resist.

If he could, he would have done it himself a long time ago, but since his class was weaker than the dungeons’, he could only stay away from them.

It was a loss, and not getting anything was very frustrating.

’What if... He can come out alive. Then, that means...’

Issac thought and opened his mouth, before speaking, "Hahaha, oh man. Now, this is interesting. Haha," The old man laughed, and the woman, on the other hand, couldn’t help but look at him with a shocked face.

"But, Mr. Issac, are you sure it’s a good idea to accept his offer?"

She asked, but the old man just raised his hand and gestured for her to stop.

"Don’t worry, Luna. I know what I am doing."

The old man’s words were firm, and seeing that, the woman just nodded her head and backed off, and then, the old man turned his head and looked at Ryan.

"Alright, Nellas, let’s do it."

He said and held out his hand, and the smile on Ryan’s face got wider before he stretched his arm and shook the man’s hand.

"Deal."

....

Now, after about one and a half hours...

Whoosh~!

A wave of wind blew, and a few strands of Ryan’s hair were blown as he stood in front of a blue portal that was rotating, and beside him were the old man and Luna.

"Look, Mr. Nellas, this the one of the most dangerous dungeons which is closer than the other ones. It is an S-class dungeon."

Luna pointed toward the rotating blue circle, and her voice was a bit nervous, but Ryan just nodded his head.

"I wish you luck." The woman spoke again, and the old man couldn’t help but let out a loud laugh.

"Luck, hahaha. He needs more than that, girl. He needs a miracle. Hahaha."

He was laughing, and Luna couldn’t help but glance at him, and a moment later, the woman sighed before looking at Ryan.

"Here," She grabbed a piece of paper from her pocket and held it out, "This is a map of the dungeon, and there is also information about what kind of monsters can be found inside. So, make sure you look at it."

The woman was giving him the map, but her hand was trembling and her face was also filled with worry.

Ryan saw her condition and couldn’t help but let out a chuckle, before reaching out and taking the map from her.

"Thanks."

He said and smiled, and in response, a smile also beamed on the woman’s face, before saying, "May god be with you."

’God? Heh, don’t make me laugh.’

Ryan thought and the corner of his mouth twitched as he recalled his past, before turning around and moving toward the portal.

’I don’t know about the god, but... Let’s see if the devil is on my side.’

With that thought he stepped into the portal.
