Night had fallen on the Earth and it was pitch dark everywhere, because of the moon being behind the clouds.

The trees, various flowers, and different kinds of plants that were present a few moments ago were now missing, and only the dark forest could be seen.

It was quiet and there were no sounds, except for the occasional wind that could be heard howling.

Everything was covered by the darkness and it was as if no life could be found there.

"Huff, Huff, huff, huff."

However, it was not true. Because, deep inside the forest, where there were no trees, a girl was lying on the ground, and her breath was rough.

She was gasping and trying to catch her breath, as sweat was pouring down her forehead and her eyes were shaking.

"Cough, Cough, Cough."

Suddenly, a few coughs left her mouth, and she struggled to breathe as her chest moved up and down.

She was in pain, and her whole body was aching, which made her unable to move or speak.

’It hurts, it hurts. I don’t want this. I don’t want this.’

She couldn’t even part her lips to let out a pained moan, and her eyes began to tear up as she could not hold them back anymore.

She was in a really bad condition, and the girl could hardly breathe, as her eyes began to close slowly, and her mind was bit by bit losing consciousness.

However, for her, the most painful thing was not her body, no, the most painful thing was her mind.

Yeah, her mind.

Because it was chanting the same words over and over again.

Her husband’s name was the only thing echoing inside her mind. Even though her body was in pain, and her lungs were on fire, her mind was focused only on her husband.

And, without wasting any more time, she moved her fingers, which had become numb, and began to crawl, before placing her hands on the ground and pushing herself up.

However, her body was in no condition to support her weight, and the moment she got up, she fell, and her body hit the floor again.

A moan of pain escaped her lips, but she didn’t let herself get beaten, and her fingers touched the ground again before her palm landed on the soil.

’Get up, get up. I can’t let him die.’

The thought of her husband dying entered her mind, and a surge of energy rushed through her veins, which was enough for her to get up, and her body stood still for a moment.

This time she didn’t fall down, and her knees didn’t bend, which was a miracle considering her current state.

However, a few more coughs left her lips, and her head swayed to the other side before a small amount of blood spilled from the corner of her lips and landed on the floor.

Subconsciously, the words left her mouth, and she used all of her strength to move, but, her legs were not responding.

They felt numb and her muscles had become stiff.

She wanted to move, but her body was not obeying her, and it was stuck in the same place, not being able to move even an inch.

So, the only thing the girl could do was crawl.

Crawl and hope for a miracle.

A miracle that would get her to her husband, so she could wrap him in her embrace and never let him go.

Nevertheless, her hope was soon crushed, as her body began to sway again, and with a loud thud, her body fell on the floor.

"Ugh."

A weak moan left her mouth, as the sound of her husband being dragged away by the monsters entered her ears, making her unable to bear the pain in her heart.

’Nell.’

She tried to call his name, but no sound came out of her mouth, and the tears that were in her eyes a few minutes ago, began to roll down her cheeks.

Yesterday, when she entered the dungeon with her husband, everything was fine.

Except for a monster hare that was dealt with by her husband, she didn’t face any kind of trouble and didn’t get injured.

Even though she was feeling scared, the girl was enjoying her time with her husband, and his presence was enough for her to forget the fear and danger that could be around the corner.

Her husband was a Hero, and she had full faith in him, which was the reason she was not worried.

However, what she didn’t know was, that her husband was going to make her go through hell.

For the first day, everything was fine, they ate, drank, and slept in the forest, which she thought was a dungeon. But, today morning, when she woke up everything changed.

Her husband wasn’t with her, and a screen was in front of her, telling her something she didn’t want to believe.

She didn’t believe the system, and her first reaction was to look for her husband.

The girl was not scared of the monsters, no, she was only afraid of losing her husband.

So, she ran.

The thing her hands had touched was a hare’s flesh which was placed on the ground.

She thought that it was killed by her husband when he was surrounded.

’Nellas must have led them away from me. He was not dragged away. He wasn’t. I am sure of it.’

She was trying to reassure herself that her husband was okay, and not in danger.

’I will go and look for him. He must be close by.’

So, the girl stood up, and with her heart filled with the determination to find her husband, she walked forward.

However, after trying to find him all day, she didn’t even manage to get close to Nell, and now, with darkness all around, she was on the ground with her consciousness gone, and her body unmoving.
