Chapter 52: Training the Monster Waifu (2)

Chapter 52: Training the Monster Waifu (2)

Nellas and Ember were now standing in the middle of a forest, and there were trees everywhere, but no animals were present, making it seem like an empty forest.

"Where are we?" Ember asked and tried to feel the environment.

There was no smell of rotten meat, no sound of monsters fighting, and the only thing she could feel was the wind.

"In front of a dungeon entrance," Her husband replied and raised her hand before he began to move it into empty space.

"This the portal. The one that will teleport us inside the dungeon."

He spoke and continued moving her hand into empty space, "This is the dungeon entrance."

After finishing his sentence, he let go of her hand and grabbed her shoulders, before turning her toward him.

"Now, listen to me. There are two important things you must never forget."

His voice was serious and Ember could feel the intensity behind his words, which made her shiver slightly.

"W-what?"

Her words were a bit shaky, but Nell didn’t bother with it and just began to speak, "First, you should never care about others. You have to always save yourself and ignore the others. This is the number one rule of dungeons."

Upon hearing the rule, Ember frowned, and her head tilted, as she didn’t understand what her husband meant.

"B-but, as Heroes, we have to save others. We have to-"

Her words made sense and they were right, but, she couldn’t even complete her sentence as Nell tightened his grip on her shoulders.

"No, don’t ever save anyone, Em. I am setting this rule. And this is a rule that you should never break. Ever."

His voice was heavy and the girl could feel the seriousness in his tone, which made her unable to disobey him.

’Never save anyone.’

She didn’t understand why he had said that, but she couldn’t go against him, and even if she could, she wouldn’t, because he was her husband and in all of the world he was the only person she didn’t want to go against.

"Okay, I won’t save anyone. I promise."

Ember spoke, and her husband loosened his grip before removing his hands.

"Good, now, let’s talk about the second rule."

His words made Ember focus again and the girl raised her head slightly, as she was trying to listen to the second rule.

"This is the most important one, so don’t forget it. The second rule is..."

There was a pause, and the girl leaned forward, wanting to hear the second rule as soon as possible, but, the next words her husband said made her confused, as they didn’t make any sense.

"Never. I repeat. Never. Ever. Trust anyone. Not even me."

Nell’s voice echoed in the forest, and Ember’s eyebrows scrunched, as the second rule was something that she didn’t expect.

’Don’t trust... him? Why?’

The girl didn’t understand the reason behind this rule, and the confusion on her face was enough to tell that she was baffled.

"I know, I am the only person you can trust, and it must be hard for you to understand why I am saying this."

Her husband’s voice was clear and there was no hesitation, as he spoke.

"But, trust me when I say, ’You can’t trust anyone. Not even me’. You will understand in the future when the time comes."

He didn’t elaborate any further, and his words were a bit vague, but his serious tone told her that he was not lying.

’I can’t trust him? How is that possible?’

The rule was too hard for her, and she was thinking of ways she could break the rule because not trusting her husband was something she didn’t want to do.

’He is my husband, the only person I can rely on, so how can I not trust him?’

However, even though her thoughts were filled with questions, Ember didn’t utter a word and just nodded her head slightly, not wanting to disagree with him.

"Now, I think you are ready. So, let’s go in the dungeon."

A smile bloomed on Nell’s face, and the man moved his hand, before grabbing her hand, "Just one step and we will be in the dungeon."

A slight nod was Ember’s reply, and Nell’s grip on her hand tightened before he stepped forward, and she followed him without hesitation.

However, even after taking two steps, nothing happened.

They were still in the forest, and there was no sign of them going into the dungeon.

"Alright, we are in."

Nellas lied, he knew that they weren’t inside the dungeon, and were still at the same place.

Because, there was no entrance, no dungeon there.

It was just a normal forest and nothing else, but Ember didn’t know that, so he pretended and lied to her.

"W-we are in the dungeon?" Ember asked and was a bit surprised, as she was expecting a different feeling when entering the dungeon, but she couldn’t sense anything.

"Yes, now let’s begin our training."

A smile surfaced on Nell’s face, and he began to walk with his wife, leading her deeper into the forest.

While the couple was walking, Nellas waved his hand at his back and a blue portal appeared at the place they were standing at a moment ago.

Then, a black rabbit jumped out of the portal, and the man gave signs with his hand, telling the bunny something.

It was clear that he was ordering the rabbit, and the rabbit had a look of understanding on its face, before jumping behind a tree and disappearing from the scene.

[Blackie has been summoned.

A link has been created between Blackie and Host.

The Summoner has full control over the Summon.]

This was the screen that had popped up in front of Nell when he summoned the black rabbit, but he had closed it as soon as it appeared, not wanting his wife to see it.

’Sorry Ember, you said you wanted to be a Hero so I am gonna make you one. However, before that, I am gonna make you go through the pain of becoming one.’

Thinking that, Nell smirked and continued leading his wife inside the forest, as the training for her had already begun.
