Dark Evolution Begins with Marrying an SSS-CLASS Blind Monster -
Chapter 49: A Little Bit of World Building
Chapter 49: A Little Bit of World Building
It all started five years ago when dungeons began to appear.
Monsters, Giants, Dragons, and everything from fantasy books began to appear.
They began to wreak havoc and kill countless people.
It was chaos and people were scared.
Everyone was afraid and no one knew what would happen.
They didn’t know what the dungeons were, and how they came into existence.
However, as the monsters began to rampage, humans also began to gain powers.
They began to fight back and try to survive the calamity that was upon them.
People became strong, and their bodies began to change, allowing them to wield special powers and control the elements.
Some had the power to create fire, while some had the power to control the water.
After that, it didn’t take long for the world to stabilize.
Because the ones who had gained powers, the so-called Heroes, began to fight the monsters, and they managed to bring peace to the world.
However, with the rise of heroes, there was another change, too.
In the midst of all the chaos, a man emerged.
It was Issac, a 43-year-old man at that time, who, unlike other Heroes, awakened a completely different power.
He could see the information of dungeons and he had full control over the monsters in them.
But, the best part was, that he could use the monsters in the dungeons for his personal gain.
That was the birth of Issac, a Hero with complete control over the dungeons.
However, even after gaining the power, he didn’t tell anyone about it.
Instead, he tried to keep it a secret and only used his powers for himself.
’This old man. Four years from now, one year before the Ragnarok, he would disclose his identity and reveal the truth to the public.’
Thinking that, Nellas sipped his coffee and glanced at the two men, who were sitting at the corner of the cafe.
’But, who is that other guy? I don’t remember him.’
There was a look of confusion on his face, as he couldn’t understand who the other man was, and why he was meeting Issac.
He didn’t even have him in his past life’s memories, and his identity was a complete mystery.
It was because, the man, Lester would remove his identity and vanish from the face of the Earth, after meeting Issac.
So, not knowing the man’s identity was reasonable.
And, right now, the most important thing was the old man Issac.
’I need him. So that I can go inside the dungeons without any trouble.’
Nellas was thinking of how he could meet the old man.
Because his main goal was to go inside the dungeons alone and Evolve without being interrupted by the heroes or anyone else.
He had to be alone, and the best way was to use the old man, Issac.
"Ember, stay here. I will be right back,"
With that, Nell stood up and walked out of the cafe, leaving his wife behind.
...
After Nellas left, the cafe door opened again, and the old man walked out of the building.
Then he turned right and began walking down the sidewalk.
As he was walking, a voice suddenly echoed inside his head, "Issac, an old man, who has the ability to control all the dungeons."
Upon hearing the voice, Issac stopped and turned his head around.
There was a look of shock on his face, as his eyes landed on the person who had just spoken to him.
"Isn’t that right Mr. Issac? Or should I call you Old Man Issac?" The person spoke again as his hands were in the pockets of his pants.
However, the old man didn’t reply immediately, instead, he stared at the person and clenched his teeth for a moment before speaking, "Who are you?!"
"Me? I am Nellas, Nellas Starlight. The guy you would wish you had never met."
....
At the same time, inside the cafe...
Ember was wondering where her husband had gone, and she was feeling a bit worried.
’Did he leave me?’
A strange thought crossed her mind, and she began to panic.
However, the fear only lasted a few seconds, and her body relaxed, as her heart told her that her husband would not leave her.
’He will be back. Yes, he will come back.’
She didn’t know why her husband left her behind, but her heart was telling her that everything was fine, and he would be back soon.
So, she decided not to worry about it and waited for him to return.
And, after a few minutes, her husband, Nellas, entered the cafe and walked toward her.
"Ember, let’s go."
Nellas called her, and a smile appeared on her face, as her hand was grabbed by him.
"Where did you go?" She asked as her legs pushed her up from the chair.
Upon hearing her question, Nellas’ grip on her hand tightened, and he moved closer, "I went to do some business."
He didn’t tell her what he had done, because it would only scare her, and he didn’t want to cause her any trouble.
’Business?’
Confused by his words, Ember’s eyebrows scrunched, and because her husband’s answer didn’t satisfy her, so she decided to ask again, "What kind of business?"
However, this time, her husband didn’t reply and just held her hand tighter, before leading her out of the cafe.
"It is nothing. You don’t need to worry about it,"
Nellas replied and his thumb gently caressed the back of her palm.
’It must be something important,’
She thought, but she didn’t push her husband any further and just walked next to him.
"By the way," After a bit of walk, she began, "When are you going to teach me about my powers, the one called Supreme Evolution?"
Her words made Nellas’ expression freeze, as he didn’t expect his wife to bring it up so soon.
"Well, about that," He spoke, and his gaze landed on his wife’s face, "I am not the one who is going to teach you. Instead, you will be learning from the system."
At his words, the woman’s steps halted, and her hand, which was held by him, trembled slightly.
"You... You aren’t gonna?" Ember turned her head to the other side as a feeling of disappointment filled her heart.
She thought that her husband was the one who was going to teach her about Supreme Evolution, and she was excited, but now, she had learned that he wasn’t going to teach her.
"No, because I, myself, am not aware of how Supreme Evolution works." Nellas spoke, "So, I can’t teach you anything."
’Oh, he doesn’t know.’
At his words, a small smile bloomed on Ember’s face, as she felt happy that her husband didn’t know anything that is why he can’t teach her.
"Okay, I will learn from the system," Ember said and nodded her head slightly.
"Yes, do it, and when you are strong enough I will take you to register as a Hero."
After saying that, Nellas continued walking, and his wife followed behind him with their hands still holding each other.
