Chapter 33: Dark Zombie’s Instinct?

As both Ron and Danny disappeared from the spot, Nell stopped in his tracks and looked back at the place where the two men had been sitting.

’Where did they go?’

He was at a far enough distance from the tree, so, he couldn’t hear Rachel’s screams, but, he did sense the two guys jumping out from the branch and then vanishing in the blink of an eye.

’Did something happen?’

He thought and his brows knitted together.

’Whatever, they will come back soon.’

Saying that he turned around and continued his path.

’After all, they are here to spy on me,’

Meanwhile, the two spies, Danny and Ron, were running as fast as their feet could carry them.

’Please, be safe, sis,’

Ron was panicking, and his mind was filled with nothing but his sister’s well-being.

However, Danny was not in the same situation.

In fact, he was in an even worse condition than Ron.

’Damn it, I shouldn’t have left her alone,’

A frown was present on his face, and his hands were balled into fists.

He had a crush on his superior, and he wanted to impress her by doing a great job.

Every time they went on a mission, he would do his best to show off, hoping that, maybe, someday, his feelings would reach her, and, maybe, she would fall for him too.

But, because of his idiocy, she never paid attention to him, and, now, she was facing the wrath of the monsters that inhabited this dungeon.

"Shit," He cursed under his breath, and, in a second, he had surpassed Ron and was already far ahead of him.

’Please, Rachel, be safe.’

He wished, and, in a matter of a few seconds, he was close enough to see what was happening.

"Urrrg! Get off me!"

In front of him, Rachel was shaking her hand, trying to get rid of a hare that was biting her wrist.

There was a cut on the hare’s head and a large amount of blood was leaking from its body, telling him that the injury was fresh.

"Tsk, damn monster,"

With a swift motion, Rachel grabbed the hare’s head and squashed its skull, killing it in an instant.

However, instead of sighing in relief, she gritted her teeth and clenched her fists, as pain wracked her body.

’Damn, I am such a fool,’

She thought, and, her eyes moved to the rabbit’s corpse that was lying beside her.

’Why... Why did I lower my guard?’

It was true, she was indeed careless, and the reason was because she underestimated the dungeon.

’I thought it was just a cute rabbit,’

She wanted to slap herself for having such naive thoughts.

She always had a soft spot for animals, and, despite being a B-Class hero, she still couldn’t help but look at an injured animal and want to save it.

It was because she had a soft and gentle personality, but, right now, she was cursing her own weakness.

’Damn, why can’t I change myself,’

Her lips were pulled into a scowl, and, she was about to pick herself off the ground when suddenly, a cold shiver ran down her spine, and she looked up, only to see a humongous, white-haired rabbit, which had a crimson horn growing out of its head.

The monster’s eyes were red, and, they were looking straight into her soul.

"Oh shit," Her eyes went wide, and, before she could move away from the creature’s line of sight, it opened its mouth and let out a loud roar.

Boom~!

The hare’s cry caused the trees to shake, and, the sound it had let out was loud enough to be heard across the whole forest which caught the attention of Nell, who was walking calmly a few minutes ago.

"Oh, finally, the fun starts,"

A grin formed on his lips, and, soon after, a group of large rabbits, who were much taller and stronger than a normal-sized one, emerged from the shadows.

Their mouths were salivating, and their eyes were glinting with hunger and thirst for blood.

"Looks like a party, huh,"

Nell mused and looked at the group of creatures that were circling around him.

"Let’s do this, shall we?"

Saying that he raised his hand, and with a slight movement of his two fingers, the group of rabbits launched themselves towards him.

Ding~!

Just then, a screen popped up in front of him.
