Chapter 145: Magic in the Sky

"Tch, He was a bit far. I just flew past him." The boy cursed, frustrated as he continued to fly away from the Devil at a maintained pace.

’Shit, I have to turn around or change the direction.’

He raised his hands forward and started to create a new hard surface, to decrease his speed.

"Wind magic: Air Steps!"

A hard surface appeared right before the boy’s hands, his hands touched the hard surface, as he tried to stop himself.

"Ahhh!"

But the force of his own acceleration was too much, and the boy’s arms bent backward, and his head crashed into the surface.

"Ahhh!" The boy cried out in pain as the surface broke from the impact.

"Urrrg! My head!" He groaned, clutching his head as he continued to fly forward.

’Shit, how hard has sister hit me that I’m flying so fast and far.’

Meanwhile, the Devil was shocked to see the boy getting past him and flying away.

’Huh? Where is he going? I thought he was chasing after me.’

His gaze fixed on the figure of the boy flying away. ’Wait, he is going toward the direction of the Tower.’

In front of him the boy was flying toward a tall and majestic tower.

"Fuck!" The boy cursed as he saw the tower.

’Shit! Shit! Shit!’ He was flying toward the Tower at a rapid pace, and there was nothing he could do to stop himself.

He had been hit with such force that even his magic couldn’t control his flight anymore.

’Damn, I have to do something, or else, I’m going to crash.’

As the tower was getting closer and closer, the boy tried to cast a spell to control the air around him.

"Air Manipulation."

He started to swirl the air around him to create a whirlwind, trying to slow himself down.

But, the power behind the white light’s slap was too strong, and the boy only managed to spin himself around a few times.

’Shit, I have to try harder,’ he thought, gritting his teeth.

He continued to swirl the air around him, his efforts slowly bearing fruit.

However, despite his best efforts, he was still unable to completely stop himself.

"Fucking hell! What was in the punch my sister gave me?"

He was now only a few meters away from the tower, his eyes fixed on the imposing structure.

’Damn, it’s no use. There is nothing I can do,’ he thought, resigned. ’Sis, what the hell did you do to me?’

"Sis, why aren’t you helping me?"

He could hear the sound of the wind whistling past his ears, his heart beating wildly in his chest.

"Sis!!!" The boy screamed.

"You’re calling for me?" The white light appeared beside him again.

"Help me, Sis," the boy begged, desperation evident in his tone. "I am going to crash into the tower."

"No, you are not," the white light assured. "You can use my light as a shield and soften the impact."

"What? How can I do that?" The boy questioned, his eyes wide with confusion.

"It’s simple. All you have to do is imagine the light as a cushion and focus all your energy on it."

"What? That’s easy?"

"Yes, little brother. You can do it," the feminine figure encouraged, her tone filled with confidence.

"Alright," the boy agreed, a look of determination crossing his features.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, his mind focused on the image of the light.

He felt the energy flowing through his body, the heat emanating from his core.

He focused all his strength on the image, his eyes burning with intensity.

The tower was getting closer, the sound of the wind drowning out the frantic beating of his heart.

"Now, little brother," the white light urged, her voice tinged with excitement. "Focus on the image and let it manifest."

The boy opened his eyes, his gaze fierce and determined.

"Here I go!"

With a burst of power, the boy channeled the energy coursing through his body into the image of the light.

The tower was mere inches away, the sound of the wind deafening.

Suddenly, the boy felt the image becoming tangible, the light enveloping his body.

"Haaa!"

The boy’s cry echoed through the night as the image of the light became a reality.

A bright flash of light emanated from his body, the energy surging through him.

And then, the next thing he knew, his body crashed into the tower, the ancient stone walls crumbling like a paper-thin facade from the impact. Dust and debris exploded into the air, creating a chaotic dance of particles in the sunlight that filtered through the settling dust clouds.

"Aaargh!"

The boy was flung across the room, his body hurtling through the space like a rag doll, hitting the floor with a bone-rattling thud. The impact sent shockwaves through the tower, rattling loose stones that clattered down around him, adding a discordant rhythm to the cacophony of destruction.

He lay there, a sprawled figure amidst the debris, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. Every inch of his body screamed in protest, a symphony of pain that resonated from head to toe.

The once brilliant light that had surrounded him, shielding him from the inevitable crash, now dissipated into the air, leaving behind only darkness that seemed to swallow the very essence of the room.

’Urrrg, it’s too painful.’ The boy groaned, his voice laced with pain.

But, then a feminine voice, filled with relief and excitement echoed through the room.

"You did it, little brother!" the feminine figure cheered, her voice filled with pride.

"Yeah, I did it, Sis," the boy breathed, his voice filled with relief.

The white light approached the boy and placed her hand on his head, ruffling his hair.

"You were amazing, little brother," she praised, her expression filled with warmth.

The boy raised an eyebrow.

"Sis, can you tell me what was the point of hitting me so hard?"

"Ah, well... it was because I knew you could take it. I wanted to help you break through the limits of your power," the feminine figure explained, her tone apologetic.

"Break through the limits of my power? What are you talking about?" The boy was confused.

"Well, it is not like you know this, but you have the ability to use the power of light. I was simply giving you a little push."

The boy stared at her, dumbfounded. "That’s why? So, you just hit me for nothing?"

"It wasn’t for nothing," the white light refuted, her expression firm. "I knew you could handle it, and I wanted to help you tap into your true potential."

"Haa..."

"Don’t worry, little brother," the white light assured, her voice soothing. "You did great, and you are going to become stronger than ever before."

The boy nodded, a smile tugging at his lips. "Thank you, Sis. But I have one last question."

"What is it?"

"Why have you come here to this world, instead of staying with the goddesses?"

The white light’s expression turned serious, her gaze intense. "It’s because I was worried about you. And besides, you and your friends are the ones who are going to face the danger that is coming soon."

"Danger? What are you talking about, Sis?"

The white light chuckled, her voice filled with mischief. "I can’t say anything more for now. You will know everything when the time comes. For now, all I can say is that the goddesses have foreseen a great danger in the near future, and I am here to help you."

The boy’s eyes widened in surprise. "Great danger? What do you mean?"

"Well, let’s just say that there is a great threat to this world, and I somehow managed to get the goddesses to allow me to come here so that I can help. That means you have to be strong, little brother. Strong enough to protect this world, strong enough to protect yourself."

The boy stared at her, his expression a mixture of awe and determination.

"I will," he promised, his tone resolute.

"Good," the white light replied, a hint of amusement in her tone. "Now, why don’t you go and save the princess? You haven’t forgotten about her, have you?"

"Oh, shit! I totally forgot about the princess. Thanks for reminding me, Sis."

The boy stood up from the floor and dusted himself off. "Alright, I’m off to save the princess."

"Good luck, little brother," the white light wished, her tone filled with warmth.

"Thank you, Sis."

With that, the boy jumped out of the hole he had made from crashing into the tower.

He was now falling down, his gaze focused on a house below him.

’This is for you, Sister. I won’t let you down.’

His green hair swayed in the wind, and his face was filled with determination.

’I will become stronger. Strong enough to protect everyone.’

And with those thoughts in mind, he closed his eyes, trying to sense Princess Alisa’s location.

His senses sharpened and his hearing increased, he could hear every sound.

He heard the sound of the guards fighting, coming from the Inn’s direction.

’This sound... Are the others fighting?’

Then he heard a sharp sound of wind as if a strong current was cutting through the air.

’Heh, so there he is.’

He knew it was the Devil boy.

’He is flying away, and he has the princess with him. I must hurry.’

The boy opened his eyes, a look of resolve in them.

And with that, he mumbled, "Wind Magic: Air Burst."

With the words, a sudden burst of air shot out from his feet, propelling him forward at a rapid pace.

’Let’s go!’
