Chapter 115: Princess and the King

Minhe was taken aback by Nell’s cold and calculated response. Her confusion was palpable as she tried to process his words, her mind racing with questions.

She couldn’t comprehend why he was so calm and collected in the face of danger, and his menacing demeanor sent a shiver down her spine.

"Now shall we continue?" He said, his voice dripping with disdain as he pointed the gleaming dagger at the other two guards, his hand steady and unflinching.

But just as he was about to make his move, something unexpected happened. His hand froze mid-way, as though it was stuck in the air, his fingers gripping the hilt of the dagger tightly.

"Hey, you!" a voice called out from behind them, interrupting the tense atmosphere.

All eyes turned to where the voice came from, and Minhe couldn’t help but gasp in surprise as she laid eyes on the newcomer.

It was a young girl, no older than fifteen, with vibrant blonde hair and piercing yellow eyes that seemed to glow with determination.

She was being led by a middle-aged man, Baroy, who was holding his hand up, which was shining with a soft blue light. Baroy was a knight assigned to protect the princess, and he was the commander of the royal knights.

Nellas looked at her and thought, ’Blonde hair and yellow eyes...? She must be..!’

The guards at the entrance shouted in unison when they caught sight of the princess. "Princess!"

’So she really is the princess of the Alvon Kingdom,’

Princess looked at Nellas in disbelief. "What are you doing to the guards?" she asked, her voice tinged with surprise.

To her response he slowly opened his fist, and with a sharp cracking sound, the frozen air around his hand broke, causing the dagger to fall to the floor.

Baroy was taken aback as he witnessed Nell effortlessly break his magical hold with brute strength alone. ’Huh?! What? Did he just break my magic with only his muscle strength?’ he asked himself incredulously.

Before Baroy could respond, Yujin interjected. "Princess, allow me to introduce myself. I am Yujin, Xavier’s student." he said, bowing respectfully with one hand on his chest and the other behind his back.

Baroy was taken aback once again. "What!" he exclaimed, realizing that it was Yujin, the famed Xavier’s student, who had shattered his magic. ’So, it was him who broke my magic,’ he thought in awe.

Princess, still clearly displeased with the situation, spoke up. "So what?" she retorted, her voice filled with authority. "That still doesn’t give you the right to bully the guards."

Baroy cleared his throat, realizing his error. "Princess, you must be tired from the trip. Please go ahead and rest. I will take care of the situation here," he said, trying to regain his composure.

The princess nodded in acceptance, her regal demeanor unshaken. "Make sure to teach them a lesson," she instructed, before gracefully making her way into the castle, leaving Baroy to deal with the situation.

Baroy approached Yujin, his curiosity piqued. "Now, can you tell me what exactly happened?" he inquired, his voice tinged with concern.

Yujin gave a concise explanation, recounting how the guards had insulted Minhe, their disrespectful words, and actions. Baroy’s expression darkened as he listened, realizing the gravity of the situation.

"Oh, if that is the case, please let me apologize on their behalf," Baroy said sincerely, bowing in a gesture of contrition. "I will make sure to reprimand them later for their unacceptable behavior."

Yujin nodded, appreciating Baroy’s willingness to take action. "Thank you," he said, acknowledging the apology.

Baroy straightened up his demeanor regal and composed. "Well then, if you allow, let me take you to the King," he said, gesturing for Yujin to follow him.

"Please do so," Yujin replied, bowing respectfully in return.

"Follow me," Baroy said, leading Yujin, Nell, and Minhe through the imposing castle.

The walls were adorned with intricate carvings, and the floors were polished to a gleaming sheen, reflecting the soft glow of the torches that lined the corridor.

As they neared the throne hall, the atmosphere grew more solemn. The guards stationed at the entrance bowed in deference to Baroy, recognizing his authority. With a sense of purpose, Baroy pushed open the massive doors, revealing the opulent throne room beyond.

The throne room was adorned with gold and jewels, and the grand throne at the end of the room exuded an aura of power.

As Yujin and Baroy entered the grand throne hall, the air was thick with tension. The king, a middle-aged man with a regal bearing, was engaged in a serious discussion with a man of authority by his side.

This man, Leon, had an air of power about him, with his black hair and piercing brown eyes. He was the king’s personal bodyguard and a high-class mage known for his formidable skills.

"The Vampire Queen has already destroyed two kingdoms, our kingdom may be next. We must do something about it," the king said with a heavy heart, his voice echoing in the grand hall.

"My lord, we are too weak to fight against her. And the entire kingdom would fall in ruins if you decided to attack her. Please wait for someone to help you," Leon replied, his tone grave.

The king sighed, his brow furrowing in frustration. "Fine. But at least let me send my request to the Dragon Kingdom regarding the marriage of the 1st prince."

Leon nodded in agreement, his expression unwavering.

Just then, Baroy approached, catching the king’s attention. "Baroy, what brings you here?" the king inquired, pausing his discussion with Leon.

"My lord, he is Yujin, Xavier’s student," Leon announced, gesturing towards Yujin.

A small smile tugged at the corners of the king’s lips. "So you are Xavier’s student," he said, nodding at Yujin. "It is nice to meet you, Yujin."

Yujin bowed respectfully, feeling a mix of nervousness and awe in the presence of the king.

The king’s eyes then fell upon Nellas and Minhe, the two individuals who had accompanied Yujin and Baroy. "But who are those two?" he asked, pointing towards them with curiosity in his eyes.

Yujin introduced his brother and thier friend to the king with a sense of pride. "Oh, he is my older brother," Yujin gestured towards Nell, who stood tall and formidable, exuding a sense of loyalty and strength. "And she is my childhood friend," he said, nodding towards Minhe, who stood with a demure posture, her eyes shining with gratitude and admiration.

The king nodded, acknowledging them with a warm smile. "It’s a pleasure to meet you both," he said, his voice carrying the weight of his authority. "Alright, we will talk later. For now, go and rest. Baroy will lead you to your rooms."

Yujin bowed respectfully, expressing his gratitude. "Thank you, my lord," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.
