Chapter 107: Xavier

’I am a grown man in my twenties, and I won’t do this. Not today. Not ever,’

’I have already experienced enough humiliation, and I won’t accept this.’

The child tried to deny it, but his mother’s insistent gaze told him that she was serious.

’Oh, god. Why does she want to do this so badly?’

The child was at a loss for words. He had never imagined himself in such a situation, and he didn’t know how to handle it.

’I mean, I have already transmigrated to a different world, and now my mother wants to feed me with her milk. This is...’

Nellas may be trying to deny his fate, but the uncomfortable feeling in his stomach told him otherwise.

A few seconds passed by and Nellas could feel the uncomfortable feeling in his stomach.

’Damn it. I need to...’

Nellas was not the kind of person who would give in to his primal urges, but in his current situation, he didn’t have much of a choice.

’I just have to... swallow it, and... and it will be over.’

He took a deep breath and steeled himself.

’It’s not a big deal. It’s just a part of life. A normal and natural process. I can do this.’

With renewed determination, Nellas was able to get through the difficult experience.

As soon as he was done, a wave of relief washed over him, and he felt a sense of calmness.

’Phew, it’s finally over. I thought I would die of embarrassment,’

However, before he could relax completely, he heard the soft giggling of his mother.

’What’s so funny?’

He frowned. He didn’t understand why his mother was laughing.

’Did I do something wrong?’

He was perplexed. He didn’t know what his mother was thinking, and her reaction confused him.

Suddenly, his mother leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his forehead before placing her hand on his chest and gently caressing him.

"Sleep, my prince," she whispered.

"It’s time for you to rest."

The child didn’t understand what his mother meant. But, before he could propel on the matter, his mother begin to hum a soft and melodious lullaby.

Her voice was soothing, and the melody was mesmerizing. Nellas couldn’t help but be captivated by the sound.

As he listened to the lullaby, he felt his eyelids growing heavy. He wanted to stay awake and enjoy the moment, but his body refused to cooperate.

He was too tired, and his mother’s warm embrace and the sweet song were too much for him to resist.

The child’s eyes slowly closed, and he drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

....

Two years had passed since Nellas’ reincarnation into this fantastical world. He sat under the shade of a towering oak tree, its leaves rustling gently in the light breeze.

His silver locks gleamed in the sun, and his piercing blue eyes shone like sapphires.

’Now it has been two years since I reincarnated to this world. I have found out many things about this world. First of all, a different kind of magic exists in this world, Lions have wings on their back, and Dragons fly in the sky freely without any restrictions.’

As he contemplated his strange new reality, suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching him from behind.

"Tap! Tap! Tap!"

Startled, he turned around to find Sonia standing behind him with her palms resting on her knees. A smile lit up her face as she gazed at her son. "How is it? You like it?"

Nellas nodded, unsure of how else to respond. "Yeah, I love it," he said.

’I love it? I don’t even know the reason why I came here!... Maybe because she asked me to come with her and I couldn’t refuse her.’

He looked at Sonia who was happy to come for a walk outside the city with her son.

’I suppose it is okay as long as she is happy.’

Sonia’s smile widened, and she stood up, beckoning for him to follow. "That’s great! Then let’s go home."

As they began their journey back to the city, a sudden noise startled them both. A goblin, armed with a menacing weapon, appeared out of nowhere, cackling in delight at the sight of his prey.

Sonia’s face turned pale with fear, and she gripped Nell’s hand tightly. "Nellas, when I say run, go ahead without looking back, ok," she whispered urgently.

But before anything could happen, an arrow whizzed through the air and struck the goblin in the chest, which instantly fell to the ground, dead.

Nell spun around to find a young knight, around 19 years old, standing before him.

The knight was clad in light armor and wielded a bow with skill. "I am sorry if the goblin’s appearance has caused you trouble," he apologized, bowing to Sonia. "I am Calvin, a Knight assigned to take care of the goblins in this area."

Sonia was relieved to be saved by the knight and bowed deeply. "Thank you for saving me and my son. We were just about to head home."

Calvin smiled at Sonia. "No problem." He spoke as he gazed down at the child, "Your son is pretty cute," he complimented.

Nellas let out a sigh. ’No way, not again man! I have heard that word many times that I can’t even count. Why do people say that I am cute? Why can’t they just keep it in their mind instead of saying it out loud.’ He understood that Calvin do not mean anything bad by it. He was just being friendly, but still, it was annoying.

....

Emerging from the dense forest, Sonia and Nell made their way toward their home, unaware of the spectacle that awaited them.

As they drew closer to their house, they spotted a large crowd of people congregating outside, their gazes fixated upon the Mythical Weapons that lay buried in the ground.

Sonia’s curiosity piqued, she strode forward to join the throng, with Nellas following closely behind. She approached a man standing at the edge of the crowd and tapped him lightly on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, what’s going on here?" she inquired.

The man turned to face her and replied eagerly, "The King has finally sent Xavier, the high-class mage, to investigate the weapons. He has been sent here after two years of low-class mages trying and failing to extract the weapons from the ground."

Nell’s interest was also piqued at this news, and he wondered aloud if Xavier was here to try and pull the weapons from the earth.

Sonia was taken aback by the revelation of Xavier’s presence, as she had heard that he never left his secret location and even the King had to go to him if he wanted an audience. She asked the man incredulously, "Xavier is here? How is that possible?"

The man nodded in affirmation and pointed toward a group of guards who had accompanied Xavier to the scene. "He insisted on coming himself, and those guards are here with him. It seems he was drawn to the power of the weapons that no one else has been able to budge them."

As Sonia scanned the crowd, she noticed several low-class nobles, each accompanied by their children. They had come to petition Xavier to take their offspring as students, but Xavier paid them no heed, his attention fully focused on the weapons.

Xavier was stunned by the immense power emanating from the Mythical Weapons, and couldn’t help but wonder in awe of their holder. ’Whoever he is, he must be the strongest in the world.’

Suddenly, he felt the same power coming from behind him. He quickly turned around and found a large crowd of people, but realized they were not the source of the power.

Moving forward, Xavier signaled for his guards to make way for him, and they deftly cleared a path through the throngs of people. As he reached the end of the crowd, he spotted Sonia and Nellas standing on the side.

A guard barked orders at Sonia to move aside, but before she could comply, he shoved her roughly to the ground.

"Mother!" Nellas was quick to assist his mother, helping her up and making sure she was alright.

As the crowd murmured with disapproval at the guard’s behavior, Xavier was outraged by the guard’s behavior and moved closer to Sonia and Nell. "Please let me apologize for my servant’s mistake," he said, bowing deeply.

’The same Power is coming from this child which I felt from the weapons.’ He thought, wondering about Nellas.
