Chapter 100: Back To The Past

"GRRRR!"

A loud roar emerged from the orc’s throat and a look of rage could be seen on his ugly face.

However, that was not all. There were many monsters behind him, and they were growling and snarling as well.

Goblins, Ogres, Lizardmen, Slimes, Skeletons, Ghouls, and a lot of other creatures were standing there, and they all had an expression of anger and hatred plastered on their disgusting faces.

As for Ember, she was struggling to get out from the orc’s grasp. She placed both of her hands on the ground and tried to push herself up, but the foot on her head was preventing her from doing so.

"Hehehe," The Vampire Queen’s mocking laugh could be heard, "Do you think you can kill me? I have lived for centuries, and had met many powerful opponents. So, how could I possibly die by your hands?"

"Grrr," Hearing the mockery, Ember’s face distorted and she decided to use her last resort. "YOu thInK yOu woN? HaHaHaHa, In YouR DreAmS."

The black smoke covering her body began to gather around her left hand, and in an instant, it turned into a three-foot-long black, serrated blade, resembling a sword.

"I wiLL kIlL YoU alL, aNd wILL tAkE aLL YoUR loVeLY lIFe foRce."

Saying it, Ember closed her fingers around the blade-like appendage, and with a single stroke, she cut through the orc’s foot, rendering him limbless.

"Arghhh!"

A pained scream could be heard coming from the orc, and he stumbled back, freeing Ember in the process.

Blood was flowing out of his cut off limb, and because it had lost its foot, it’s balance was off which caused the orc to lose his footing and fall.

Thump!!

With a loud thud the orc landed on the ground. Upon witnessing this scene, the Vampire Queen became enraged, and ordered the monsters to attack.

"What the fuck are you doing?! Go and kill her! Now!!"

Roars, howls, and screeches could be heard as the horde of monsters began to charge toward Ember.

Their eyes were red with rage and their fangs were glistening with saliva, indicating their hunger and thirst for flesh and blood.

"YoU aRe AlL goIng to dIE." With a smirk on her face, Ember swung the sword-like appendage on her left hand and black smoke surrounded the weapon, increasing its size and sharpness.

Then, with a swift and sudden motion, the girl charged toward the monsters, and was ready to cut and tear them apart.

Soon, the sound of splattering blood and flesh could be heard as Ember sliced through the heads and limbs off the monsters, and her tail was stabbing through their chests.

The battle was one-sided and the monsters didn’t even have a chance to land a single hit on the monster girl.

As the bodies began to pile up, the Vampire Queen, who was watching everything, began to smile faintly.

"Good, keep fighting."

Lunéa thought in her mind, ’I just need to wait until all my mana returns. And when it does, I will take care of you myself.’

So, the vampire was watching from the sidelines, waiting for her magic to return, while her subordinates were getting slaughtered.

However, she didn’t take the fact that Ember will grow stronger with every hit she takes or make into account.

Ember’s speed, durability, and strength were all increasing. Her attacks were becoming stronger, and her defense was becoming tougher.

It wasn’t long before the number of monsters standing in front of her were reduced by half, and the ones that were still standing were heavily injured and were unable to do anything.

"Damnit," Vampire Queen wasn’t smiling anymore, and a serious expression was now visible on her face as she glared at the flying monsters in the sky beside her.

Sensing their Queen’s glare, the monsters looked at her, and after a few seconds, the Vampire Queen’s eyes flashed red, and the monsters’ bodies stiffened, indicating their understanding of their master’s command.

The next second, the hundreds of flying creatures in the sky began to descend toward the ground, and were heading toward red haired monster who was busy slaughtering the rest of their brethren.

’I hope they will be enough to stop her.’

Lunéa hoped that the remaining flying monsters will be able to distract the girl long enough for her to regenerate her mana and heal her wounds.

Chaa!!

Chaaa!!!

The flying creatures’ instinct was telling them that the monster below was a very dangerous and powerful creature.

So, the moment they were close enough to her, they used their Ultra Sonic Screech to try and incapacitate her.

"Arghh!!!"

The ultra sonic screech hit Ember’s eardrum with an intense volume, and she let out a painful scream, causing her to stumble back and grab her head.

"Arghhh!!!"

Ember was covering her ears and was trying her best to stop the screeching noise.

But, it was useless, and the monsters didn’t stop, they were attacking her with everything they got.

"YOU BASTARDS! ARGHHH!!"

Her body was trembling, her legs felt lifeless and it was getting difficult for her to stand.

The sound was extremely painful, and with each passing second, her hearing was being damaged even more.

"ARRGGHHH!!!"

Tears began to form at the corner of her eyes, and the screeching was becoming louder and louder.

"STOP IT!"

As she screamed, she began to swing her sword-like appendage around, trying to hit any monster that came close enough to her, but she wasn’t successful.

Instead, her weapon went through thin air. The monsters were avoiding her swings, and were staying at a distance where her blade couldn’t reach them.

"NO! NO!"

However, she was not willing to give up, and was trying her best to get rid of the monsters. But, she was failing, and with each second that passed, her senses were becoming weaker and weaker.

"ARRRGGHH!!!"

Eventually, blood began to drip down her nose and her ears.

"Argh..."

With a small whimper, she fell down, and her eyes rolled back into her head.

"Ah, ah, aha," The Vampire Queen let out a sigh of relief, and a smile of victory could be seen on her face as her crimson eyes began to glow with excitement.

Meanwhile, the thirty minutes count down for Nellas to open the portal to the dungeon again, had finished.

So, the next moment, a portal was opened, and without thinking or wasting anymore time, Nell dashed into it.

When he was on the other side, a familiar scenery greeted his eyes. He saw the uncountable Ultra Sonic Vampire Bats circling around the area, and a few other flying monsters were there too.

Also, there were thousands of corpses of different kinds of monsters lying on the ground, and the green grass was not visible, the whole area was covered with the red liquid that was coming out of the monster’s lifeless bodies.

The stench was horrendous, and was so strong that Nellas had to cover his mouth with his sleeve, preventing the smell from entering his nostrils.

As for the Vampire Queen, he could not see her because of her being invisible. However, she could see him, and as soon as she noticed Ember’s husband, her face broke into a big grin, and her eyes became fierce.

’You came back?’

She thought as she watched him look around and then at the unconscious Ember lying in the middle of the sea of corpses.

’E-Ember...?’

Now, Ember wasn’t in her demonic form, rather, she had transformed back to her human body the moment she fell unconscious.

So, witnessing her wife lying in a puddle of blood, made Nellas’s heart skip a beat.

"Em...ber?"

Hus legs moved at a lightening speed, and he appeared next to Ember in a matter of a few seconds.

"No, no, no. What happened? Em–"

His hands reached her, and he slowly pushed her up from the ground, making her lean against his chest.

"No, no, no, no. Ember."

As he was holding her in his arms, his heart was beating at a rapid pace, and the sound of his heart was echoing in his ears.

He shook her for a few seconds, hoping that she will wake up.

But, nothing happened. Instead, she remained the same and was still unconscious.

"Ember, Ember, please. Please, don’t leave me."

His heart was sinking and his emotions were running wild.

But, Ember wasn’t responding.

Now, he was feeling a strong emotion, an emotion that had never before appeared inside him, an emotion of pure hatred.

"Who did this?"

Even when he saw the whole world being destroyed by the Heroes, his anger was nowhere near the one that he was feeling right now.

"Who did this?!"

His voice became deeper and more threatening, and his eyes were turning red as blood was flowing through his veins.

"TELL ME!!"

In an instant, the temperature of the surroundings rose, and the heat was enough to make the nearby creatures’ bodies catch on fire.

"Calm down, Demon Lord,"

But, just when his rage was about to explode, a voice resounded, and he stopped what he was doing.

This voice was the same as the once he heard in the black void, where it told him that Ember was reincarnated.

"You know, you can save her if you want to."

Hearing the words, his expression became a bit serious, and he was listening intently.

"I know, you are angry. And, I also know that you want revenge. However, the only thing that will come out of your anger, is death."

Nellas clenched his fist, and his eyebrows were twitching, showing that he was not happy.

"But, if you listen to me, you will get what you want, and save her too."

After the voice finished speaking, Nellas didn’t say anything and remained silent for a few seconds.

"So, Demon Lord, do you want to know how?"

A chuckle could be heard from the voice.

"It’s easy, all you have to do is..."
