Damn, How could my family be so wealthy? -
Chapter 94 - 93 Honored Guest
Chapter 94: Chapter 93 Honored Guest
Su Mu and Xia Shuya walked out of the small room to find that the rest of the cinema had already cleared out.
Glancing at Xia Shuya, Su Mu thought that the little lady still needed to improve her stamina.
Look, everyone else had already recovered, and it was only the two of them left at the end.
Xia Shuya was very clear about the look Su Mu gave her.
Pouting her little mouth, Xia Shuya protested in her heart: as a dancer, her stamina was already good compared to the average woman.
It wasn’t her fault Su Mu was too formidable. After two hours of vigorous activity, Xia Shuya felt not fainting was quite an achievement.
Naturally, after so much exercise, the two needed a good meal to replenish themselves.
Su Mu took Xia Shuya straight to Wanda Plaza.
They entered an upscale Western restaurant where Su Mu ordered the luxurious set meal recommended by the waiter.
Since he had to drive himself, and Su Mu wasn’t much into alcohol to begin with, he ordered two drinks directly.
"It’s so pretty, I can hardly bear to eat it."
When the set meal was served, looking at the artfully crafted array of dishes, each like a flower in its own right, Xia Shuya let out a gasp of admiration.
This was, without a doubt, the most beautiful meal Xia Shuya had ever eaten.
"Can I take a few photos first?"
With Su Mu’s nod of approval, Xia Shuya took out her phone and began snapping pictures from every angle.
Su Mu knew Xia Shuya was definitely taking the photos for her social media feed.
He wondered why Xia Shuya was so persistent, even needing to flaunt a meal?
Su Mu had to admit, he really didn’t understand Xia Shuya’s vanity.
However, it was precisely because of Xia Shuya’s vanity that he had so easily gotten this great beauty, wasn’t it?
Give and take, Su Mu was naturally willing to provide Xia Shuya with such opportunities.
After Xia Shuya had captured each dish in turn, Su Mu started to eat without waiting.
Endowed with Champion Physical Fitness, Su Mu was guaranteed an abundance of energy.
But even with Champion Physical Fitness, it didn’t stop Su Mu from getting a bit hungry.
As for Xia Shuya, Su Mu knew she wouldn’t be in the mood to eat until her social media post was perfect.
Xia Shuya, indeed, was fully engrossed in her phone.
It seemed that the allure of the food was no match for the enticing likes on social media.
Although Xia Shuya started eating after publishing her post,
every few minutes, she would pick up her phone to check, had anyone liked her post?
Had anyone left a comment?
If there were comments, Xia Shuya would reply to each one individually.
Su Mu watched the busy Xia Shuya and felt tired on her behalf.
"Are you full?"
Su Mu had finished eating, having waited for Xia Shuya for a while.
Seeing that the dishes in front of Xia Shuya were barely touched, Su Mu kindly asked.
Even with Champion Physical Fitness, Su Mu was feeling hungry.
Did Xia Shuya really have no response?
Su Mu thought, although he had been the one exerting the most effort for the past two hours, Xia Shuya had to cooperate as well.
After looking so worn out in the end, Su Mu didn’t believe that Xia Shuya wouldn’t need to replenish herself now.
"Huh?"
Hearing Su Mu’s words, Xia Shuya was momentarily stunned.
Upon seeing the empty plates in front of Su Mu, Xia Shuya finally realized.
It turned out she had been so preoccupied with her social media that she hadn’t even filled her stomach.
"Hold on, I’ll be quick."
Setting down her phone, Xia Shuya finally focused on enjoying the meal.
Concentrating on the food, Xia Shuya was surprised to find that everything in the restaurant was exceptionally delicious.
This time, Xia Shuya allowed herself to indulge fully.
Perhaps because her energy had been so depleted earlier, Xia Shuya didn’t have the energy to worry about whether indulging like this would lead to weight gain or anything of the sort.
You should know that dance troupes have very strict weight control for everyone.
Basically, you have to weigh yourself once a week.
If you go over the set limit, then you must intensify training until your weight comes down.
After enjoying a delicious meal, Su Mu took Xia Shuya to a qipao specialty store.
He stumbled upon it last time he was buying a cellphone.
Later, when he saw photos Xia Shuya posted of her dancing, Su Mu thought she would look particularly charming in a qipao.
According to his preference, he picked out a high-slit sleeveless qipao for Xia Shuya.
Of course, Su Mu had his own plans, but he didn’t want to reveal the purpose of the qipao to Xia Shuya just yet.
Glancing at the time, it wasn’t too late.
The summer sun was quite dutiful, not setting until late after working hours.
There were some things Su Mu expressed he couldn’t do quite yet.
Planning to stroll for a while and wait for the sun to set, Su Mu received a call from Ah Fook.
It turned out that Elder Su was hosting old friends at the castle tonight and informed Su Mu to come back early.
Su Mu didn’t want to defy Grandpa’s orders.
He said some things would just have to wait until next time.
"Pack up the qipao, wear it for me next time."
Before getting into the Bentley, Su Mu said this to Xia Shuya.
"Okay"
Xia Shuya didn’t understand the deeper meaning behind Su Mu’s words.
Thinking Su Mu enjoyed seeing her in a qipao, she readily agreed.
It was only when the Bentley had driven off into the distance, becoming nearly invisible, that Xia Shuya hailed a cab by the roadside and headed back to the dance troupe.
On the taxi ride, Xia Shuya decided to ask for a day off from the troupe tomorrow.
Xia Shuya knew that while her legs looked normal for walking, there would be a problem if she actually had to dance.
She feared she would embarrass herself, so taking a day off to rest seemed the safer choice.
When Su Mu arrived back at the castle, Grandpa’s old friends hadn’t arrived yet.
Su Mu found that his dad and mom had already come back.
It seemed Grandpa’s commands were still quite effective.
While the guests hadn’t arrived yet, Su Mu took the opportunity to rush back to his room for a shower and to change clothes.
The conditions at the movie theater were limited, and Su Mu hadn’t washed up yet.
Now that he was home, it was natural to wash away any possible lingering smells.
By the time Su Mu, refreshed and invigorated, came downstairs, a stretch Lincoln just happened to pull into the castle.
He knew it was the car sent by Grandpa to pick up people, now returning.
Su Mu followed Elder Su and his parents out to greet them.
Friends that Grandpa valued were naturally esteemed guests of the Su Family.
An elderly man with a full head of white hair, yet spirited and vigorous, stepped out of the Lincoln.
"Old Li, you’ve come."
"Old Su, how many years has it been since I last visited your castle?"
"Seems like the last time was over a decade ago when your grandson Xiao Jin was just born, right?"
The man addressed as Old Li by Elder Su commented as he looked at the unchanged castle with a sense of nostalgia.
"Yes, eighteen years."
Elder Su nodded, the years spare no one.
The last time Old Li came was just after Xiao Mu was born.
In the blink of an eye, Xiao Mu was already eighteen years old, grown into a young man.
"Xiao Mu, come here, this is your Grandpa Li."
It was clear that Su Mu was now the protagonist in the narratives of these two heavyweight figures.
