Chapter 54: Chapter 54 - Next Plan?
Rebecca blinked, her expression unreadable for a brief moment—then she laughed. A light, carefree laugh, as if he had made a joke.
"Hmm.. He can’t join, since i am his mother" she said, tilting her head. "So, he can watch and learn how neigboors thing work, me and you having a good sex. Probably i will invite another woman, so he can learning by doing."
Karl bit the inside of his cheek to keep from outright laughing. God, this was perfect.
She wasn’t even forcing herself to justify it. She truly believed it.
"This is just how neighbors are supposed to be, right?" she continued, tilting her head slightly. "Sharing moments like this, looking out for each other..."
Karl exhaled slowly, shaking his head. "You really believe that, huh?"
Rebecca frowned, as if his doubt was the strange part of the conversation. "Of course. Why wouldn’t I?"
Karl hummed. So deep. The common sense rewrite had buried itself so thoroughly in her mind that she wasn’t even capable of questioning it.
It wasn’t adultery to her.
It wasn’t wrong to her.
It was simply... neighborly bonding.
Karl swung his legs over the edge of the bed, stretching before standing up. "Well, I should probably get going. Can’t hog all your time, right?"
Rebecca beamed, standing as well. "Wait here," she said, walking toward the kitchen.
Karl arched a brow as he watched her disappear behind the doorframe. He rolled his shoulders, his body still thrumming with satisfaction. This was entertaining beyond words.
A minute later, Rebecca returned, a neatly wrapped package in her hands. She smiled warmly as she held it out. "Here. You can take this home."
Karl glanced at it, amused. "What’s this?"
Rebecca giggled. "A cake. I made it yesterday."
Karl stared at her for a moment before letting out a soft laugh. A cake.
He had ruined her. Shattered every boundary she was supposed to uphold.
And yet—she was sending him off with homemade cake like a considerate neighbor.
Karl took the package, shaking his head in disbelief. "Rebecca, you’re something else."
She smiled, her expression filled with nothing but warmth. "Oh, stop being silly, Karl. This is just how things are between good neighbors."
Karl let out a low chuckle, stepping toward the door. He turned back one last time, his smirk widening as he watched her standing there—completely content, utterly oblivious to what she had become.
"Right," he murmured. "Just good neighbors."
With that, he stepped out into the cool evening air, the weight of the cake in his hands, and the thrill of absolute victory curling deep in his chest.
Karl strolled into his apartment, the dim glow of the city lights filtering through the window blinds. He tossed his jacket over the couch, sighing in satisfaction as he placed the neatly wrapped cake on the counter. What a night.
Pulling out his phone, he frowned. He wasn’t going to waste any more Uncommon Points. He had learned that the hard way—forgetting to stop the common sense manipulation had been a careless mistake. Too many points lost just because he got carried away.
With a few taps, he accessed the Common Sense Manipulation App, scanning the ongoing adjustments. Sure enough, Rebecca was still running on a reality he had bent to his liking.
Karl exhaled through his nose, shaking his head as he hit STOP on the active manipulation. The screen flickered for a moment, confirming the reset. Rebecca would return to normal thinking soon enough.
And then—
[Ding!]
The screen darkened before a familiar face appeared—Chillie Jean, in all her self-proclaimed noble glory.
She sat on her virtual throne, one leg crossed over the other, swirling a glass of nonexistent wine in her hand. Her smug smirk was enough to tell Karl she had been watching everything.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here," she mused, her voice dripping with amusement. "The great Lord of Fries has been busy—banging someone’s wife. And tomorrow, he will fill the bag with fries."
Karl let out a short laugh, leaning against the counter. "Your AI persona is still weird as hell. Why do you keep talking like that?"
Chillie flicked her hair dramatically. "A noble such as myself does not simply abandon grandeur, Lord of Chaos. You should be honored."
Karl smirked, rolling his eyes. This AI was ridiculous.
Chillie Jean leaned forward slightly, resting her chin on her palm. "So, what’s next? Will you sit back and enjoy the sweet, wholesome cake made by another man’s wife?"
Karl chuckled, shaking his head. "Not quite."
Chillie raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Intriguing. Do tell."
Karl reached for the cake, lifting it with one hand. "I’m giving it to Maria."
A pause. Chillie’s eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Maria? The Milf best friend of Rebecca? The one who used to be your boss? The one who also happened to be Rebecca’s husband’s side piece?"
Karl smirked. "That’s the one."
Chillie tilted her head. "And why, pray tell, are you bestowing upon her this sacred offering?"
Karl’s grin widened, dark amusement flickering in his gaze. "Because I’m going to make sure Maria enjoys this cake in the most pleasurable way possible."
Chillie blinked, then let out a sharp laugh. "Ah. With a lot of cum. And in real time, I assume?"
Karl exhaled, stretching lazily. "Maybe next week. I’m not in a rush."
Chillie hummed, amused. "You are one patient man. You truly savor the anticipation."
Karl chuckled. "Of course. The best meals take time to prepare."
Karl stared at the cake, his fingers tapping idly against the counter as a slow smirk crept across his face. Rebecca had been easy—too easy. A little push here, a little tweak there, and she had thrown every societal norm out the window without a second thought. But Maria? That would be even more satisfying.
Because Maria was a hypocrite.
She walked around with her self-righteous lectures, always the first to judge others, always the one to play the role of the perfect friend. Yet Karl knew the truth. He had seen it with his own eyes—how Maria snuck around with Rebecca’s husband, how she whispered sweet nothings while betraying the very woman who trusted her most.
Maria had no idea what kinda punishment was coming to her hypocritical mouth.
