Chapter 156 Yuanshi Tianzun’s Decree
Chapter 156: Chapter 156 Yuanshi Tianzun’s Decree
In Taiyi Zhenren’s eyes, Ao Bing was destined to die.
Yet he not only survived, he dared to prance around, stealing treasures from his cave abode.
What made him most furious, however, was Nezha.
The one he regarded as weak and never took seriously, Nezha had the audacity to kill his cherished Spirit Pearl right before his eyes, ruining all his plans, and still manage to escape unscathed.
Just a moment too late.
"Mas... Master, cough cough."
The Spirit Pearl coughed and leaned forward, but this time, not even blood came out, only bloody foam.
Taiyi Zhenren ignored him, waving his hand as a green lotus blossomed, shooting straight at Ao Bing, obliterating the shrimp soldiers and crab generals blocking its path, none lasting even a moment.
"Spare me, great Immortal! This small dragon was reckless and took your treasure; I will return everything!"
Despite his serious injuries, Ao Bing prostrated on the ground, not only returning all the treasures of the Spirit Pearl but also all his recent collection, lined up in front of him.
However, it was all in vain, for Taiyi never intended to spare his life this time.
The green lotus moved horizontally, shattering everything in its path, but as it was about to reach Ao Bing, it suddenly halted.
Because another person appeared before Ao Bing.
To be precise, a dragon.
This dragon transformed into a human shape, dressed in a golden robe, wearing a golden crown, with dragon horns emerging from its head, exuding an aura of majesty.
Seeing this person, Taiyi Zhenren saluted, saying, "Greetings to the East Sea Dragon King."
It turned out to be Ao Bing’s father, the East Sea Dragon King, Ao Guang.
Ao Guang did not return the gesture, standing there, first glancing at Ao Bing on the ground with a slight frown, then looking toward Taiyi Zhenren ahead.
He shouted, "So, Daoist Brother, you mean to disregard Daoist skill and plan to kill my son right before my eyes?"
"Ao Bing was meant to die."
Ao Guang’s realm was far inferior to Taiyi’s, and although Taiyi gave him some face, it wasn’t much.
The Daoist skill green lotus hung right before Ao Guang, and if it moved forward any further, Ao Guang couldn’t possibly block it.
"Daoist Brother, this is quite unreasonable."
"Heh, Dragon King, if you want to talk reason, then let me tell you; your son conspired with Nezha, killing my disciple, whose corpse is still here; as a Master, should I not seek revenge?"
Hearing this, Ao Guang showed a mocking expression and said, "Kill? My son Ao Bing never uses bows or crossbows. It seems the one who killed the Spirit Pearl wasn’t Ao Bing but Nezha. Interestingly, as far as I know, Zhenren, isn’t Nezha also your disciple?"
Taiyi was silent, looking at Ao Guang with his eyes growing cold.
Ao Guang continued, "Moreover, before this, Spirit Pearl trespassed into the Dragon Palace, acting recklessly and killing countless of my sea clan. In my view, it’s not my son who deserves to die but the Spirit Pearl."
"Spirit Pearl’s mistakes will be dealt with by the Chan Sect; Old Dragon King, are you intending to cross the Chan Sect?"
"Taiyi, don’t use the Chan Sect to press me; whether the Spirit Pearl deserves death isn’t up to me, the Little Dragon King, who cannot afford to offend your Chan Sect. So, before coming here, I personally went to the Chan Sect to ask about whether the Spirit Pearl deserves death!"
Upon hearing this, Taiyi Zhenren’s face immediately changed.
No one was foolish. With so many changes, the East Sea Dragon King Ao Guang, living right beside Chentang Pass, had long sent people to investigate and found out seven or eight parts of the truth.
Although he hadn’t read any Hong Jun’s Secret Scripture or knew about the Heavenly Dao, he thought all this must be related to the impending Sealing God Battle.
Hence, he personally visited the Yuxu Palace to meet Yuanshi Tianzun.
He waved his hand and took out a golden, seemingly ordinary decree, and said calmly, "I request Yuqing Primordial Heavenly Venerate’s decree."
Upon hearing this, Taiyi Zhenren’s heart sank.
His long-planned scheme was to hide from Yuanshi Tianzun. Who would have thought Nezha hadn’t slipped through his fingers but was eventually thwarted by this four-legged snake.
"By the command of all heavenly deities and beings in the Three Realms: Nezha is of Innate True Spirit, born into this world, cultivating the Heavenly Dao, is our fellow disciple, should be treated with respect, and jointly pursue the grand cause of the Divine Enthronement, support the righteous path, and ensure the peace of the world... This decree is issued, witnessed by all under heaven, violators will suffer heavenly punishment, never to recover."
"Taiyi Zhenren respectfully complies with the decree of the Sect Master’s teacher."
Taiyi Zhenren accepted the decree, glaring fiercely at Ao Guang.
Ao Guang, having many friends in the Chan Sect, wasn’t afraid of him. After all, though he failed in the Immortal Path, compared to these virtuous people always in seclusion, he had spent much time on social relations and had ties with many respectable figures.
Ao Guang laughed and said, "Zhenren, the Sect Hierarch summons you back for a report."
"Hmph, Ao Guang, don’t be complacent; this matter isn’t over today."
Taiyi Zhenren turned, looking at the kneeling, head-lowered Spirit Pearl.
Bright red blood spread across the ground, and the small body kneeling in the blood had clearly died.
Zhenren flicked his sleeve, taking the Spirit Pearl, and collected all of Ao Bing’s treasures on the ground, giving him a deep look, and said, "You got involved with Nezha, destined for a violent death. I didn’t want your things but, seeing you play tricks before me at death’s door, hiding the Purple Gold Head Ring, fine then, I’ll take this today, and you’ll repay with your life later!"
Ao Bing’s face turned whiter; he wanted to explain, but Taiyi Zhenren wouldn’t listen, driving a divine rainbow straight up to the Nine Heavens.
As he ascended, a fierce wind stirred at the horizon.
Ao Guang cursed, "Old beast, according to your method, wouldn’t my son already be dead?"
After the Zhenren left, a white dragon flew upon the clouds, landing beside Ao Guang, transforming into a pretty girl in a pink dress with a slender waist.
This girl looked no more than fifteen or sixteen, with a plum blossom in her brow, her eyes as soft as water, but seeing her, Ao Bing turned his head away, unwilling even to look.
The girl, seeing Ao Bing this way, only smiled helplessly, saluted Ao Guang, and said, "Greetings to Father."
It turns out this East Sea Dragon King had five sons and a daughter, his youngest daughter named Ao Yu, known as Yu Princess among sea folk, extraordinarily talented, yet always treated by Ao Bing as a lifelong rival.
"Yu’er has come."
What father doesn’t like a good daughter, the Old Dragon King spoke gently to Ao Yu, but turning to Ao Bing, his face immediately turned icy.
He said, "Just turning your head like that, if you gouge your eyes, your sister is still here; how can you expect to achieve great things?"
Ao Bing had already been overly frightened today, and hearing this before many sea clan members, he felt utterly humiliated and, despite being a scattered immortal who lived for hundreds of years, burst into tears right there.
Both father and daughter froze in place, stupefied, for none had ever seen Ao Bing like this.
The surrounding sea clan, too, looked at each other, disappearing silently into the waves, saluting the Dragon King before each disappeared into the breaking surf.
In Ao Yu’s eyes, though her brother liked challenging her in Daoist duels and was slightly competitive, she had never seen him cry.
On the distant coast, a scholar with a bookcase walking the world passed by, surnamed Li, witnessed this scene, and wrote in his book:
Chentang Pass Sightings: A meeting of three dragons, one dragon weeping greatly.
It was said, by the sea here, the weather was ever-changing, and with the gathering of three dragons, the winds and waves roared, and dark clouds covered the sun.
Waves lashed against the massive rocks on shore, like spilled ink, suddenly, a broken ship was washed ashore, quickly turning into a heap of splintered wood.
As the waves retreated, something flashed in the sea, like sharp eyes, and with the next wave, a tall figure walked step by step from the giant waves toward the shore.
At this moment, whether crying Ao Bing, Ao Guang, Ao Yu, or the scholar on the distant cliff, all couldn’t help but turn their gaze toward it.
The scholar wrote again: Cutting through wind and waves, body like cast iron, eyes as black as ink.
These black-eyed eyes belonged to none other than Nezha.
His clothes were soaked through, the cuffs of his pants muddied with sand from the waterbed, his hair clung wetly to his face, yet no one could see the word "disheveled" in his demeanor.
"Greetings to the Dragon King."
