Claiming the Throne of Gods, Starting from the Rebirth of Nezha
Chapter 146: Slaying the Chong Family Father and Son

Chapter 146: Chapter 146: Slaying the Chong Family Father and Son

"You don’t know?"

Nezha’s thoughts flew swiftly, and he quickly surmised that the envoy delivering orders from King Zhou hadn’t yet arrived here.

He spoke amiss.

Lose face?

Nonexistent.

With but a flash of his sword, Chong Houhu’s head leaped from his neck, followed by a geyser of blood shooting over five feet high.

Nezha wasn’t satisfied. Eyeing the falling head, he unleashed the Samadhi Fire from his Fire-tipped Spear, instantly incinerating it to ashes.

From a distance, Chong Houhu’s eldest son, Chong Yingbiao, witnessed the scene, his heart shattered in terror. He thought to flee, yet, his pride wouldn’t allow it, and with a low roar, he drew his sword.

Nezha, feeling Chong Yingbiao’s gaze sharp as a sword, looked back to see Chong Houhu’s three top generals—Chong Yingbiao, Jin Kui, and Huang Yuanji—leaping out, fully armored and helmeted.

Upon seeing Nezha turn his gaze to them, a tremor shot through the three warriors’ hearts, their already pale complexions turning ashen.

They were unaware of the youth’s identity, but fear had already taken root within them.

The young man stood motionless yet his entire being exuded an overwhelming aura of murderous intent!

Nezha didn’t recognize them and merely asked, "Do you wish to avenge Chong Houhu?"

Jin Kui and Huang Yuanji didn’t move, but Chong Yingbiao took a step forward, his fury overflowing, and with gritted teeth, he bellowed, "State your name! I shall not rest until I’ve slain you!"

No ripple stirred in Nezha’s eyes; with Chong Houhu dead, it mattered little to him who these men before him were.

"And who might you be? Even a mere mortal dares to speak so boldly of killing me?"

"I am Beibo Hou’s eldest son, Chong Yingbiao!"

"Seeking revenge for a father is indeed just. It seems not all of Beibo Hou’s house are cowards. If you have the courage, then come and kill me!"

The moment Nezha’s words fell, Chong Yingbiao charged with his iron spear.

He, too, was a mighty warrior with exceptional martial prowess, lunging forward like a black tiger.

Jin Kui and Huang Yuanji wanted to hold him back but failed, inwardly cursing their misfortune. The heir of Beibo Hou’s household was doomed.

As expected, Chong Yingbiao’s spear was forceful, but it could not harm Nezha. With a single punch, Nezha flattened the spear’s tip.

The tremendous force transmitted to Chong Yingbiao, knocking the spear from his grasp. Its butt shattered his chest plate, and the shock pulverized his heart inside his chest.

Jin Kui and Huang Yuanji were also heroes. Although previously intimidated by Nezha, facing their master’s and young master’s deaths before their eyes, the idea of living in shame overwhelmed them with a great sense of humiliation.

Nezha looked at them again, asking, "Do you also wish to make a move?"

Huang Yuanji stepped forward, but Jin Kui held him back.

Jin Kui shook his head at him, then turned to Nezha, saying, "What you said is not untrue; Beibo Hou indeed deserves his fate. However, he has shown us generosity and kindness. With our master dead, it is only right for us to seek vengeance."

Huang Yuanji was somewhat displeased at being held back initially, but he was somewhat perplexed upon hearing these words.

Then why not join hands and strike together?

Glancing at Huang Yuanji, Jin Kui’s face was etched with pain—he knew all too well that they, too, were fated to die.

"You possess immense divine skills, and should you strike, we would be dead in an instant. Please grant us both a chance to act," Jin Kui requested.

It was preposterous for one’s would-be killers to ask to be given a chance to act.

In battle, Nezha always adhered to the principle that even when catching a rabbit, a lion must give it his all.

For he understood that it is not weakness or ignorance that brings about destruction, but hubris.

Logically, he shouldn’t have agreed to the request, yet he did.

Observing the two men, Nezha’s grip on his spear slid to the middle, pointing the butt to the ground and angling the tip towards the heavens.

He said, "If that’s the case, then come!"

"Vanguard General Jin Kui under Beibo Hou!"

"Vanguard General Huang Yuanji to the left!"

Both men bellowed, adrenaline surging, their faces flushed red, seemingly ignorant of fear, and immediately surrounded and attacked.

The two wielded considerable strength in their hands, having practiced martial arts for decades, and were top-notch fighters in the military.

In the past, before Nezha had forged the Nine-Turn Golden Pill, had he fought with martial arts alone and without magic treasures, even with his superior divine power, he would have had to struggle for a long time to prevail over them.

But now, their movements seemed incredibly slow in Nezha’s eyes, like that of a turtle crawling.

As they charged towards him, Nezha shook his spear, flicking a flourish in front of him, easily flicking away the weapons in both men’s hands. With a flick of the rear end of the spear, he sent the two generals flying.

Jin Kui and Huang Yuanji lay on the ground spitting blood, despairing, their faces ashen.

After a while, they propped each other up and got to their feet.

A raging fire had already been lit within the city, and amidst the black smoke and fierce flames, the young man stood immovable.

Huang Yuanji gritted his teeth and said, "Why don’t you kill us?"

"Seeing that you two have some loyal and righteous hearts, I will spare your lives for now. If you commit evil again, I will take your lives even if you flee to the ends of the earth!"

Jin Kui, who failed to restrain himself, and Huang Yuanji, unable to bear the humiliation, roared with a hoarse voice, "If you don’t kill us today, and if there’s a chance in the future, we will definitely kill you!"

Nezha laughed and said, "Are you forcing me to kill you right here?"

"Beibo Hou may act recklessly, but he’s shown grace towards us. You killed him, and we are bound to avenge him. However..."

Jin Kui changed his tone and said, "You spared us today, which we owe you a life for. If we ever catch you, we too will spare you once!"

After hearing this, Nezha didn’t care. After killing Chong Houhu and his son, he leaped into the air, riding a beam of light out of the city.

When he appeared again, he was already in Outer World Town, located in a small world.

He lay down on the grass, and next to him, Qiu Chuyao had just finished her chores. She changed into a white hemp robe, adorned only with colored lines, yet there was an unusual charm to it.

Together, they enjoyed the river breeze.

"We sisters found some yellow chrysanthemums in the mountains, which can be made into a yellow dye."

"There are wolves in the mountains." Nezha glanced at her, his words tinged with both reproach and concern.

"There were eight or nine of us, each armed with swords and blades. Though not skilled, the weapons are sharp enough that the wolves wouldn’t dare to approach."

Qiu Chuyao said, "You reek of blood."

"I’ve just killed many people."

Silence fell by the riverbank.

"I don’t understand."

Qiu Chuyao boldly lay down next to Nezha, very close, and Nezha could smell the faint scent of orchids on her.

"You are a cultivator, originally a lofty person of the other world. Why not just play here in Outer World Town with us, instead of meddling with worldly matters?"

"Outer World Town is also within the world of mortals."

Nezha suddenly jumped up from the grass, looking at the vast sky and enjoying the refreshing wind, he shouted loudly:

"Ten years to temper a sword, its frosty blade untested. Today I present it before you, who has any grievances?"

Outer World Town is a great place to rest, with its beautiful scenery, rich Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi, and many beautiful young ladies.

Every time Nezha felt weary in both body and mind, it seemed that hiding in this place allowed him to leave all his troubles behind.

As for Huang Yuanji and Jin Kui, with the death of Beibo Hou, they did not immediately return to the military.
