Chapter 217 Ling Jiu Mage
Chapter 217: Chapter 217 Ling Jiu Mage
"Why waste so many words on these indigenous savages?"
Beside him, Lou Tingyu had already lost patience, and a longsword had appeared in her jade hand, slashing out.
"Female evil demon, you’re courting death!"
Two native knights roared in fury, they had already reported the name of the Ling Jiu Mage, and yet these two little devils dared to lay hands on them.
They charged out, one to the left and one to the right, spears thrusting forward!
Alas, the gap between their strength and Lou Tingyu’s was simply too vast; in the blink of an eye, the two native knights were sent flying.
One dead, one injured!
The one still alive had lost part of his arm and was already halfway to death.
Witnessing this bloody scene, Lin Yi could not help but feel that when a Female Asura struck, she was truly ruthless and decisive.
"Answer the questions honestly, or I will cut you down with a single stroke."
Lou Tingyu looked coldly at the remaining native knight.
"The master may ask anything, I will tell everything I know!"
The native knight had also been frightened by Lou Tingyu’s ferociousness, and his eyes were filled with panic as he looked at her.
From the mouth of this native knight, Lin Yi and Lou Tingyu also roughly understood the structure of the Earth Spirit Secret Realm.
Within the Earth Spirit Secret Realm, there was no unified nation, only a loose power known as the Mage Guild.
And upon reaching the True Man Realm in cultivation, one would earn the title of "Mage".
Those above the Seventh Level of the True Man Realm were, in turn, known as Great Mages.
And the master of this basin, Ling Jiu Mage, was a member of the Mage Guild.
He was a True Master of the Fourth Realm.
Just as Lou Tingyu and Lin Yi wished to gather more information, suddenly, a beam of light shot out from behind, hitting the native knight squarely in the back.
The native knight let out a wretched scream, his eyes bulging out as he fell dead to the ground.
At the location of his heart at his back, there was now a noticeable bloody hole, his heart already shattered.
Lin Yi and Lou Tingyu looked up, only to see a green-robed middle-aged man, appearing on the battlements of a nearby castle—the burst of light that had just struck had come from this green-robed middle-aged man.
This person was presumably the master of the castle, the Ling Jiu Mage.
"Outer Realm Demons, I give you ten breaths to leave my domain, or else, do not blame me for being discourteous."
Ling Jiu Mage held a Green Wood Magic Staff, his eyes coldly staring at Lin Yi and Lou Tingyu; the engravings on the staff were mostly activated, clearly ready to act.
However, Ling Jiu Mage’s threat seemed to go completely unheard by Lin Yi and Lou Tingyu. Lin Yi leisurely turned towards Lou Tingyu and asked, "Senior Sister, do you want to earn these Contribution Points, or shall I?"
"It’s just a little shrimp, I’ll leave it to you."
Lou Tingyu said, not caring much for it.
"Then thank you, Senior Sister!"
A sharp gleam flashed in Lin Yi’s eyes—a native True Master of the Fourth Realm could indeed be worth a lot of Holy Mansion Contribution Points!
Lou Tingyu was too rich to care, but Lin Yi happily accepted these 50,000 points of Contribution Value!
With a flicker of his figure, Lin Yi charged directly towards the castle.
"Foolish daredevil!"
Seeing Lin Yi still daring to charge over, a chilling killing intent suddenly flashed in Ling Jiu Mage’s eyes.
He immediately raised his magic wand, chanting a spell, and saw the wand burst into brilliant light, as magic balls fell like meteors from the sky, smashing towards Lin Yi who was rapidly approaching.
Bang bang bang bang!
The ground around Lin Yi was pocked with large craters, yet Lin Yi, with elegant movement techniques, dodged most of the magic balls’ bombardment.
Upon reaching the front of the castle, Lin Yi suddenly soared into the sky, directly targeting the dense array of magic balls with a thrust of his sword.
Pop pop pop pop...
In an instant, all the magic balls in a straight line were pierced through, and Lin Yi, taking advantage of the momentum, arrived in front of the Ling Jiu Mage.
Another ferocious slash burst forth!
"What?!"
The Ling Jiu Mage was taken aback, and could only brace his magic wand horizontally in front of him.
Bang!
The Ling Jiu Mage was hit hard, his body flying backwards in a straight line, blood spraying out as if it cost him nothing.
"How can a mere Second Realm Mage be so powerful?"
The face of the Ling Jiu Mage was filled with disbelief; Lin Yi’s combat power had undoubtedly far surpassed his expectations.
But Lin Yi didn’t waste time with idle chatter; seeing that the Ling Jiu Mage was severely wounded, Lin Yi flashed forward again, delivering a fatal sword strike!
His complexion changed drastically, and the Ling Jiu Mage frantically stomped his magic wand onto the ground. In the next instant, an array emerged beneath his feet, and with the activation of the array, the ground burst open, and a gigantic Demon Beast surged forth!
The Demon Beast was covered in blue flames, but its aura was chillingly cold, bearing a huge dog head resembling a Hellhound.
This Demon Beast’s presence was even stronger than that of the Ling Jiu Mage himself!
After summoning this Hellhound Demon Beast, the Ling Jiu Mage’s face revealed a sinister smile.
The strength of this Hellhound was greater than his own; it was only because he could not control it well that he dared not release it at will. But now, pushed to a desperate situation by Lin Yi, even at the risk of losing control, he had to let this Demon Beast out!
With this trump card played, the youth before him was undoubtedly doomed!
Feeling the violent pulsations from the Demon Beast, Lin Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly. Just as he was preparing to make a move, a beautiful figure suddenly darted out from the side, moving at high speed towards the Hellhound Demon Beast.
In the next instant, a flash of blood shone in mid-air.
The fierce beast, with its formidable presence, was suddenly stiffened in place.
Lou Tingyu sheathed her sword.
And the body of the Hellhound Demon Beast split into two.
Looking at the Hellhound Demon Beast’s corpse on the ground, now split in two, Lin Yi looked at Lou Tingyu somewhat discontentedly, "Senior Sister, didn’t we agree you’d leave it to me?"
Lou Tingyu crossed her arms over her chest, noncommittally, "I said I’d leave the native to you, but I didn’t say I’d leave the Demon Beast for you."
Lin Yi found himself at a loss for words, forced to swallow the bitter pill. His gaze then fell on the Ling Jiu Mage.
However, within his line of sight, the Ling Jiu Mage’s figure was already nowhere to be found.
"Not good!"
Lin Yi’s expression changed abruptly; the Ling Jiu Mage had actually run away?
Could it be, the prey that was within his grasp had flown away?
Lin Yi’s lips twitched.
But the next moment, a scream was heard from not far away. Lin Yi and Lou Tingyu rushed over immediately, and within their sight, they saw the Ling Jiu Mage nailed to an ancient tree with a Rune Spear, already dead.
Beside the large tree, Little Jin gave Lin Yi a glance, "It’s a good thing I was prepared; otherwise, this so-called Mage would have indeed escaped."
Seeing the Ling Jiu Mage nailed to the tree, Lin Yi also let out a slight sigh of relief. He hadn’t expected that Little Jin had laid out an array here, a case of waiting by the tree for the rabbit. It was fortunate, or they might have truly let the Ling Jiu Mage escape.
