"Is that what I think it is?" Anisha whispered as her eyes pierced at me while she pointed at me. "Lucian!!!

"What do you mean by that?" I continued to feign innocence while I sipped the coffee.

"Lucian, are you out of your mind?" Anisha screeched.

"Lucian has always been crazy and impossible. "Zeeb added as he huffed in frustration.

"Pretend you never saw him," I added. "Let us deal with the matters at hand. Conri and I will take a shower and we shall go to Elder Zaya’s house.

"Bad Idea. I suggest you remain in the mansion for now and let Alpha Lobo come to you. If you show concern, then Lobo will be happy that you are falling into his trap. "Tala advised

"We shall be sitting ducks, "Anisha announced.

"Mates," Conri affirmed and we all burst out laughing at how serious his face got. After clearing the dining table, and doing the dishes, we all settled in the living room, for a discussion on how to deal with Lobo Aria.

"Tala, how well do you know, Lyal?" Zeeb asked.

"Too well, I am afraid. That damn bastard is more screwed in the head than Lobo Aria"

"Our mole inside the pack has been silent for too long. We need someone else to infiltrate and get us information on what is happening. "

"I will see what I can do about it. I will liaise with Everest and Levi, "Conri spoke up.

Conri laughed while I leaned back on the couch and stared at Zeeb without saying a word.

"When did he get here?" Zeeb pressed on.

"He has nothing to do with what happened in the mines," Conri affirmed.

Zeeb nodded and then smirked "You do come with a lot of surprises Conri"

"That he does. "I leaned over and pressed a kiss on his cheeks.

"I have questions for him "Zeeb stood his ground as he raised his hand towards the exit of the bunker.

In seconds we heard the door of the bunker open and Tizheruk came out holding the plate and glass of juice. "Give me a few minutes, I will be right with you" He spoke to Zeeb, who stood frozen like a statue.

"Did he hear me? "Zeeb whispered.

We heard the water run in the kitchen and then Tizheruk walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. " Ask" He addressed Zeeb.

"I am Zeeb Elijah" Zeeb stammered

"The mine collapsed last night and Alpha Lobo seems to be shifting the blame to Conri," Zeeb informed him.

"So I heard. My hearing is quite outstanding. "Tizheruk stated. "The truth is Hunter, the pack enforcer went hunting for Rex’s body and I know Lobo Aria is interested in how Rex survived. Hence they sent the special enforces to the mines. Unfortunately, I had already set up traps just in case anyone approached the Gold mines underneath. "

"What? Gold mines?" I sat up

"All the mines that belong to Conri have gold underneath. Lobo has only managed to mine in one near the Cinnabar crystal mines, and that is the place that was blown up. He is angry because I have blocked the secret entrance he used to get to Conri’s mines. "Tizheruk smirked.

"Why the fuck did you get involved? " Conri scolded him.

"Because you are taking your sweet time to get to the Crystal and take over the pack," Tizheruk snapped at him.

"You are too much." Conri rubbed his face in frustration.

"Do you know how Lobo became rich? He has been using your mine to get gold and ship it out of Alaska. The mole I have in the pack’s office confirmed it. "Tizheruk pointed out.

"You have a mole in the office. " Zeeb’s eyes brightened. "Can they tell us how Lobo discovered that Rex is alive ?"

Tizheruk nodded and stood up. "I am going to make a few calls. "

"You have a phone?" Conri’s gaze pierced at him.

"Yes. Did you think I only slithered in the forest and the water? " He chuckled.

"Pretty much yes. "Conri stood up and walked over to him. He placed a hand on his shoulders and said, "Thank you. "

"No need for that, Alpha, "Tizheruk teased him as he rushed towards the bunker exit and disappeared.

When Conri turned around, Zeeb and I stared at him in awe.

"Don’t " He threatened us.

Zeeb burst out laughing while I walked over to pull him into a hug.

We heard the screeching of the wheels from the front entrance and then a few cars parked in the parking lot. We moved to the large windows at the entrance of the mansion and watched Elder Zaya, Benjamin, and Luna Elijah alight from each car.

"Why the fuck do I sense trouble? "Zeeb whispered more to himself.

"He better stay hidden for now, "Conri stated and walked away towards the bunker to speak to the Tizheruk.

We welcome Elder Zaya, Benjamin, and Elijah into the house.

"To what do I owe this honor of your visit?" I pretended to ask while Zeeb disappeared in the kitchen to get them drinks.

"Oh Lucian, you are such a poor actor," Elder Zaya pointed out.

"But you know who did?" Luna Elijah pressed on.

Conri nodded and sat back, crossing one leg over the knee. "I do"

"Boris reported to the KODA that five of the enforcers are dead," Benjamin stated.

"What about Hunter?" I asked.

"He managed to survive, "Elder Zaya spoke up.

"Lobo Aria used the Cinnabar mine to hide the fact that he dug a tunnel into Conri’s Gold mines. The reason he is angry is because the blast blocked the tunnel and now he will not be able to access the mine"

"That fucking bastard," Elder Zaya seethed.

"I don’t understand. Why now? Why blow it up now?" Luna Elijah pressed on.

"Our hunch is that they were investigating Rex’s death. It seems someone spotted him at the airport and sent the video to Lobo. We needed to do something drastic to cover that up," I explained.

"Why do I feel that you are leaving information out of your explanation? "
