Anisha POV

"What the fuck, Conri? "I cursed.

"You are torturing the poor man. He was in my office earlier in a terrible state," Conri pressed on.

"I don’t want to discuss this with you, Lucian," I snapped.

"Then whom will you discuss it with? Tala?" Lucian demanded.

"Lucian you bastard. Stay out of this," I yelled over the phone.

"What is happening? "Tala demanded as she drove on the empty roads as the drops of rain pattered on the roof and windows of the car.

"He said you were flirting with Totem the HR," Lucian stated "And it hurt him" He continued.

"Is he mental?"I whispered and closed my eyes in frustration.

"What do you think? He is your mate. Meaning that any actions you do will affect him. And here you are stalling, "Lucian tsked.

"Did he say that?" I demanded.

"Yes. I have known Zeeb for years, and when I say he looked terrible, he did. "Lucian informed me.

"Fine. But stay out of my business Lucian" And I disconnected the call.

"What is it?" Tala asked.

"Your brother is the problem, "I informed her.

"What? Why?" Tala asked, her eyes glued to the road.

"He thinks I was flirting with Totem, "I announced and laughed.

But the reaction on Tala’s stoic face made me worried, and I lifted my hand to press it on her shoulder "Don’t tell me you think the same?"

"I never said a word, "Tala murmured.

"Come on sis, Totem has only eyes for you" I snickered

"Yet, I stood watching you and him laugh. When I turned around Zeeb had a look of anguish and despair," Tala informed me and she took her eyes off the road for a second as she said it.

"What? He was asking me for consent to date you and it made me happy, " I exclaimed.

Tala hit the brakes on the car and it came to a halt as we were both thrown forward, but the safety belts held us on.

"What?" She turned to me in shock.

"Are you crazy? Why the hell did you hit the brakes?" I yelled at her.

"What did you say?" She whispered in shock.

"Drive!! "I pointed a finger at her as a smile threatened to escape my lips.

She composed herself and then pressed the pedal and we took off.

"You are lucky the roads are empty at this hour. " I chuckled and watched her handshake a little as she gripped the steering wheel hard.

"We are only ten minutes away from home. Better not cause an accident, " I teased her and watched her smile and bite her lower lip.

"Anisha, do you think an enforcer like me can date? I am an overbearing, quick-tempered, and snobby wolf. "She asked.

"Is that all? Is that why you are keeping Totem at bay?" I gasped in surprise.

"I am the most imperfect wolf you will ever meet, "She laughed.

"That is loads of crap, "Anisha laughed. "You are perfect, Tala. You just don’t see it"

She sniffed and her voice cracked when she responded, "Thank you, Anisha. "

We drove the rest of the way in silence, and just as we hit the corner of the apartment, Tala spoke up. " What about Zeeb?"

I huffed and as the main gate of the apartment opened up, we drove in and found Zeeb standing by his car that was parked outside the apartment

"Speak of the devil," I whispered.

"Go easy on him. " Tala’s hushed voice was still loud enough.

"I wonder if he will go easy on me, judging by the thunderous look on his face, "I snickered.

"I bet you can handle him, "Tala laughed and switched off the ignition of the car. We alighted, and she rushed to hug Zeeb, taking him by surprise. I smiled, knowing she was just dealing with his anger.

"You are crushing me," Zeeb complained to Tala.

"How can one crush a boulder? ’’ She teased him.

"I can see through your actions, "Zeeb announced, and he moved his eyes to Anisha, who walked slowly towards us.

"I will leave the two of you alone," Tala smirked and walked into the apartment.

"Get in the car, "Zeeb commanded and walked to open the door for me. I hate being commanded, but I just chanted a mantra of calm down Anisha on my head and got in the car. He banged the door shut and walked to the driver’s seat, started the car and we sped off out of the apartment.

We drove to the pier and arrived at a modern-built house that was hidden by the edge. He shut the ignition of the car and said "Get out". There was nothing kind or calm about him. My wolf paced in anger as he got out of the car and stood waiting for me to alight. I finally huffed and got out. He locked the car and then beckoned me to follow him. He opened the gate, I got in and he locked it. My eyes widened in question, but Zeeb remained mute as we walked into the house. He unlocked the door, and I walked in as he shut the door behind me.

Switching on the lights, the breathtaking interior decor and classy house furniture hit me. I removed my shoes, padded my feet on the warm wooden floor and admired the living room. I stood with my jaw dropped as how well the house had been decorated to a crisp, charming style with authoritative and elegant decor.

"Is this your house?" I turned around and found Zeeb unbuttoning his shirt.

"Our house," He responded calmly. Too calm.

"Our?" I watched as the last button of his shirt came undone. He pulled the shirt from his trousers and removed it. Threw it on the couch and moved closer, towering over me as I came face to face with the wolf tattoo on his chest.

"Our house," He repeated the statement.

"You are way in over your head, "I snapped at him and looked up.

"I have had enough of your shit, Anisha " Zeeb’s eyes changed to red and I felt his wolf rise to the surface in command while Zeeb grabbed my blouse and ripped it off my body.

"How dare you," I growled at him.

"Mate" His nose flared and his eyes blazed at me. It was a declaration as the time for a command. My wolf betrayed me as I felt myself tilt my neck in submission, and then Zeeb leaned down and growled again on my neck.

The sound went right to my body, and I felt myself getting wet. A slow lick on my neck made me tremble and my legs gave way. But Zeeb was swift and his hand had always snaked down my waist.

"Mate" He repeated the words

"Mate" I heard the words come out of my mouth as his teeth sank into my neck, the searing pain and pleasure made my body jerk as a scream escaped my mouth in the and I star and in the next instant, I felt my body slipping into unconsciousness and I blacked out.
