Chapter 141: NEW ORDERS

LOBO ARIA’S POV

The call came past midnight and I immediately answered it, knowing well that Jaxton would not call for no reason.

"Boss, we are sorry. I have taken too long to report to you. You are on speakerphone," He informed me.

"Go ahead"

"We sent the men to attack Lucian Freki. But the Napella did not work on him this time. Conri came with him to my home and Zineb distracted him "

"Shit" I cursed.

"Lucian stated that you should come to him and not send anyone after him," Jaxton whispered. "

"For fuck’s sake" I yelled. "I am coming over"

"Alpha? No," I heard Jaxton respond, " It’s too dangerous"

"Then get your ass to my house asap" I disconnected the call and cursed.

I walked out to the cabinet in the living, picked up the bottle of whiskey, and drank straight from it.

An hour later, Jaxton walked it, accompanied by Zineb.

"Jaxton you, fucking moron. What did you do?"I yelled.

"I did what I know best, "Jaxton responded calmly. " We attacked him but failed to subdue him.

"Bullshit! Stop lying. You never went and sent weak wolves."

"If he went, then Lucian would have killed him, " Zineb snapped at me.

I tapped my hand on the cabinet with an amused smile on my face. "What is going on between you two?"

They both moved apart and stared at me innocently.

"My sister is off limits," I growled at Jaxton, and he nodded hurriedly.

We sat down and Zineb narrated the conversation she had with Isamu of the Yakuza. All he needed was the Freki blood, and that is why they used Napella to subdue Lucian, hoping to make him unconscious and have his blood drawn.

"It seems that we need to send a more lethal team to capture Lucian Freki."

"That’s fine. I can get the BoryoKudan to do our dirty work. I will transfer the money to them in the morning. "

" I would like to avoid any deaths and keep the damage to a minimum. As much as I would like to kill Lucian Freki, this is not the right time. I need the Tabular crystal’s power "

"And Conri Dolf is difficult to deal with, " Zineb muttered.

"Do not touch even a hair on his head," I growled.

"But inevitably, Conri will be around Lucian. He will not let anyone attack him from now on," Jaxton responded.

"I honestly don’t want to be anywhere near Conri," Zineb muttered.

A text message from Fridolf interrupted the conversation as I picked up the phone to call him.

"How is it that you can get a phone, even in prison?" I snickered.

"A little bird told me that Hunter is in Canada. That means his family is there," Fridolf stated.

"That is vital information. Thank you, "I responded.

"I need to know where Eliana is" Fridolf’s cold voice rose over the phone.

"I will get the details and contact you," I responded. "We did an attack on Lucian this evening, but the Napella did not work on him again. Isamu wants only his blood and we need to get it. Zineb wants to use the BoryoKudan to do the job"

"No. I will send my men to you. They have been at a distance surrounding your house, offering you protection," Fridolf stated.

"I don’t need protection, " I snapped at him.

"Until you get the power of the Tabular Crystal, I am not taking a chance," Fridolf growled.

"You do realize that you are behind bars?" I snickered.

"No one is going to stop me," He vowed and disconnected the call.

I huffed and turned to Zineb and Jaxton and said, "I suggest you spend the night here. Go to bed "

"Come on, "Zineb muttered, "I will show you to the guest room" And then I watched them walk to the corridor and disappear.

Standing by the window and looking at the night through the window, I felt a pang of fear in my heart. This mission was a do-or-die. I walked to my office in the furthest room on the corridor, slid the window blinds closed, and turned the lights up on a mild glow as I sat at the desk at the corner of the room.

I went down to the drawer that was second down on the right-hand side, typing in a code, scanning my thumb, and turning a key. The drawer unlocked and I pulled out a white file holder that held a stack of papers at least one inch thick.

Flipping it open the file, sifting through all the reports I had done fifteen years ago about Conri Dolf. While I was looking through everything, a small knock came on the apartment door. "What?" in response. My voice was gruff and annoyed, though I didn’t mean to sound at all cruel to whoever stood on the other side of the door.

The door opened and Zineb walked in.

"I wanted to check up on you, wanted to make sure you are okay. " She rubbed her hands, and I knew that was a sign of frustration.

"Fridolf suggested we use his men rather than the BoryoKudan," I stated.

"That is also a good idea." Zineb nodded.

The buzzing on my phone alerted me that Fridolf’s team was here.

"The men are outside. Let us go and meet them.

We walked out of the house and found four men. The first had short curly reddish-brown hair, glasses, a white leather jacket, simple light blue jeans, and a pissed-as-shit look on his face. Behind him was a guy about the same height, with long black hair and squared black glasses. He wore a black shirt, white jacket, and dark blue skinny jeans. There was the third man, a shorter man with brown hair on the sides and with a white hood.

The three of them conversed while ignoring our presence until the fourth man cleared his throat. He wore a white fur jacket and black jeans. The entire crew was silenced, and I bet that they did not like to be controlled by anyone.

" Fridolf sent us to you. Let us make it clear we only work for him," the leader said. Our success rate has always been one hundred percent in assassinations and information retrieval. But our moral set for his job has always been; No Killing/Kidnapping/Torturing children under the age of 18 unless the kid is seriously sick in the head and has done some fucked up shit, but since it’s still a child, he’ll give them a quick death. He won’t kill a pregnant female or hurt the family of someone he wants information from."

"You do know that you are in the presence of Alpha Lobo, " Zineb growled.

"Yes," the leader nodded and then added, " But I doubt he can defeat hybrid wolves like us. "The leader laughed, and this exposed his fangs.

Zineb took a step back in shock while I realized that these were Hybrid wolves, a mixture of vampire and Wolf.

"So, who do you need us to take out? "The leader asked.

"Lucian Freki" I stated.

"What?" one man with the reddish brown hair and glasses yelled.

"You heard me. I want the blood of Lucian Freki," I smirked.

"What did the bastard do?" The leader asked with raised eyebrows.

"Does it matter?" Zineb responded.

"No. It does not "The leader snickered.

He walked over to me and handed me a paper. " Wire the money to that account. I will be in touch with you in three days. "

" Okay. Once this job is done, there is another job that I need done in Canada.

The leader nodded and they all turned to leave and then Zineb asked, " How do we contact you ?"

"You don’t. I will contact you myself, "The leader stated without looking back and left my home.

"God, that scared me shirtless," Zineb whispered.

"What the fuck has Fridolf been doing?" I muttered as we walked back into the house. The minute the door closed Jaxton was pacing by the living room and when he saw us he hurriedly said "Alpha, it would be best not to deal with those men"

"Why? Do you know them?" I demanded.

"Yes, I heard that they are merciless and can negotiate deals with both parties and then work for the highest bidder. What if they to Lucian and he gives them more money?" Jaxton whispered in fear.

"What? I thought they were loyal to Fridolf?" Ziben muttered.

"You never know what they will do," Jaxton growled.

"First thing in the morning, go to Fridolf in the jail and confirm if the man is loyal, "I instructed Zineb.

"I would rather sneak a phone to him than face him, "She said defensively.

"Do what you have to do, but get the assurance. I don’t want any mistakes and need to lie low for the next week. "I stated.

"Okay "Zineb nodded.

"I am off to bed," I announced and then left the living room, while Zineb followed me, but Jaxton remained behind.

Zineb grabbed my shirt and whispered, "Do you think Jaxton knows more than he is telling? After all, Lucian is his cousin"

"I detected that. That is why I sent you to Fridolf instead of him," I agreed.

"Better get him out of the house tomorrow and out of our hands, "Zineb stated" I don’t want anyone that I can’t trust around us. "
