After Yan Fei finished speaking, he grabbed Xu Xiaoyan and left. The girl who had just been humiliated was more than a little embarrassed and let herself be led away with her eyes downcast.

The two women from the Si family wanted to say something, but they were held back by the two brothers.

"That’s right, he should have been arrested earlier. The ones who dared to make such remarks in front of these two were Ma Yongming who had money and power and didn’t fear trouble, and Xiaohei who trailed behind Pang Fa. Xiaohei didn’t have much money, but his family had connections and knew a lot of people, which was why he got to be in charge at the Cattle Market at such a young age.

"Laoda, why bother discussing with them? Worst case scenario, let’s burn the bridge when we get there. We’ll give him hell!" fumed Laoer.

As soon as these words left his mouth, the other crowd was incited. All the missing people weren’t from his family, so he was just a bystander who could talk freely without pain?

There were cries, curses, arguments, and shouts mixed with pleas for peace, creating chaos.

The crowd was quickly divided into two sides: one side wanted the Si family’s brothers to compensate with money and land, with a demand to find their family members first, while the other side wanted to protect the Si family’s brothers and not give in.

Some yelled, "Elder Man of Si Family, we support you. Let’s burn the bridge when we get there. We’re all behind you; just say the word!"

These words sounded fake no matter how you construed it, even the police at the side couldn’t help but cross their arms and watch this group of people put on a performance with cold eyes.

The people inside the gate could see and hear clearly. Ma Yongming watched for a while then suddenly turned to shout, "Xiao Fei, some people are gearing up to fight with you until the end. Aren’t you going to come out to recognize a familiar face?"

Damn it, this guy had no tact at all!

The few who were yelling immediately glared at Ma Yongming. They knew they couldn’t fight, so their show of fealty was just for when that little devil wasn’t there. Did you really need to call him out?

Without waiting for anyone else to speak, Yan Fei stepped out, carrying a thick branch in his hand, "Who is it?"

Pang Fa frantically waved his hand, "It’s nothing, it’s nothing, Uncle Ming was just joking!"

"Oh!" Yan Fei responded. He gripped the stick in his hands and raised his foot to snap it in two at the knee with a crack. "I’m cooking right now, don’t call me if there’s nothing!"

The firewood used for cooking at the cattle farm was all gathered by Yan Fei from Vegetable Garden Island. It was all from trees that were still around, or at least appeared to be the same type as current trees. The branch he had just snapped looked like it was from a pine or cypress tree. It wasn’t really as thick as an adult’s arm, just a bit thicker than the handle of the usual iron hoes and shovels.

The few goons who were yelling earlier had all been watching Yan Fei and immediately shuddered. They knew better than anyone how sturdy that stick must have been. They looked at their small arms and legs that had never done any hard work, then cast a grateful look at Pang Fa.

Reputation is less than firsthand experience. They had heard the stories of how strong this fool was, and now they had seen it with their own eyes. Just a casual snap of his fingers and such a thick wooden stick snapped; what would happen if it were a human bone?

There were some who didn’t realize how powerful that small gesture was, but others carefully reminded them, "Take note, that guy is really amazing. He easily broke a branch as thick as an arm with a crack. Not everyone can do it like that!" Those in the crowd who had brought farm tools involuntarily looked at the handles of their shovels or hoes, their minds filled with unspeakable thoughts.

Inside the kitchen, Lin Yumei was asking Yan Fei, "Xiao Fei, aren’t you planning to buy some vegetables for tonight?"

Yan Fei was fooling around with Xu Xiaoyan, and was taken aback by the question, "Didn’t you say that it’s fine to cook some rice porridge tonight?"

Lin Yumei explained to him, "Aren’t there people outside coming to help? They’re following you and making enemies. Can you let them go hungry? All we have here are some vegetables, and we don’t have much buns left."

Yan Fei understood immediately. He had been dealing with these matters with an indifferent attitude all along. To be frank, he didn’t care about the people outside demanding someone as much as a single strand of cow hair in his yard.

So whether it’s Lin Baoguo or Ma Yongming, including when Pang Fa and others came over, he thought he was just having them over to watch the drama unfold. Even if a fight broke out, he wasn’t afraid, given the group of Si Family’s Brothers.

Xu Xiaoyan was dissatisfied. "Why aren’t you letting me take you? I can ride a bike too."

Yan Fei was taken aback. "Are you fighting for this too? Okay fine, you can go, but I can’t ride, so you have to take me."

Xu Xiaoyan agreed. She jumped up and ran out to get her bike, complaining as she went, "There are so many people here, it’s so annoying. They were all laughing at me just then, you should tell them to leave! It’s freezing outside, and you asked them to jump into the river, aren’t you making things hard for them? And you extorted money from them. Yan Xiaofei, Yan Xiaofei, you’re getting worse!"

Yan Fei was very unhappy. "It was them who tried to extort me in the first place. Okay okay, I won’t argue with you, you wouldn’t understand anyway. I’ll just tell them to leave now, we can sort this out later."

People were everywhere, both inside and outside the door. Hearing his words, they all felt awkward. Just as they were about to die of embarrassment, they saw Yan Fei come over and greet them warmly. "Uncle Baoguo, Uncle Ming, Brother Fa, Brother Xiaohei, don’t leave tonight. Xu Xing and I are going to buy some things and we’ll be back soon."

Ignoring their astonished faces, he walked to the door and shouted to the crowd, "I didn’t even do anything. I just saw two people go under the bridge to play yesterday. I don’t know anything else, you can’t blame me. I was asleep all night yesterday!"

"I’ll wait for you to say when. Ready?" Watching Xu Xiaoyan trying to mount the bike, Yan Fei hurried a few steps to keep pace with her.

Only when Xu Xiaoyan felt that she had gained her balance did she call out to him. Yan Fei, agile as he was, jumped onto the back seat of the bike.

Meanwhile, the Si Family’s Brothers, the two police officers, Lin Baoguo, along with Ma Yongming and his group, stood still, watching Yan Fei disappear after they had ridden the bike onto the main road.

After a while, Pang Fa grumbled, "So, everything is okay now? This is truly Awesome. We’ve made such a fuss all day, but upon fearing that his wife would be annoyed, all issues vanished?"

Xiaohei muttered, "What do you know? This is called personality! Haven’t you heard the saying, ’Love the country and the beauty more’?"

Although it was meant to be humorous, not a single person laughed.

No one knew what to say. Only a moment ago he was threatening to kill their entire family, and the next, he was nonchalantly riding away on Xu Xiaoyan’s bike as if nothing had happened. So, did he consider this life-threatening, tempestuous ruckus to be no big deal at all?

This unpredictable and bizarre character, coupled with his extraordinary martial prowess, posed an unsettling threat. If they provoked him and he became angry, would he really murder their entire families?
