Chapter 253: Chapter 113 You’re Really Dreaming_1
A true master is indeed a master, even their flying posture is cooler than that of ordinary people!
Everyone watched in stunned silence as the master landed with a thud on the roof, shattering countless tiles and causing a large hole. He was now stuck there in the hole, causing all onlookers to gawk.
Yan Fei was no exception.
He had been ready to fight this master for three hundred rounds, relishing in the feeling of being surrounded by a crowd, as if in a boxing match!
But, that idea flew out the window when he saw the master flail about after being hit with a pole.
Before the blow from the pole sent the master flying, Yan Fei had actually slowed down the strike, managing to retract some of his strength. Had he not, who knows what could have happened!
Although the master’s injuries were not too severe thanks to his attempt to leap backwards before being struck by the pole and Yan Fei holding back, he was flung quite far. It was quite a spectacle, although it did cause some broken bones.
Now he was ’sitting’ on the rooftop, stunned and unaware of how he wound up there. He seemed oblivious to the blood trickling from his nose and mouth.
The wound on his face was not caused by Yan Fei’s pole, but by his own cane, which had snapped back after being bent, leaving a mark on his face. His nose was broke and his lips bleeding, making him appear somewhat disfigured.
Yan Fei was the first to recover. He waved his pole and shouted at the crowd, imitating the master, "Who else wants to fight?"
As if anyone would dare!
His shout echoed through the crowd, and the sound of the wind whistling past the pole sent a chill through the onlookers. Some even took a step back involuntarily, breaking out of their stupor.
The immobilized master attempted to get up from the roof, but only caused more debris to fall, remaining stuck.
On seeing this, the people below hurriedly called for someone to climb up and rescue him.
The middle-aged man leading them bowed to Yan Fei, "Young man, please wait a moment while we rescue him."
Climbing the low rooftop was not difficult. No ladder was necessary, they could ascend by just using the debris scattered around.
But, the building was fragile.
Normally, the rafters of a tile-roofed house are strong enough to support several people. However, this one’s rafters were barely holding together. Within few steps, a young man crashed through the rooftop, his leg plunging through the hole straight into the room beneath.
Rescuing someone from such a rooftop was undoubtedly challenging.
Many people across from Yan Fei were watching him warily. However, when his gaze swept over them, they all averted their eyes, terrified of his brutal pole attacks.
While Yan Fei seemed to be waiting for someone to come forward, his ears were not idle.
After a little while, he moved his pole to the back of the uncollapsed shed, then entered the little shed.
The food in the shed was not edible, having been covered with debris and dust from the collapsed structure.
However, the eggs seemed perfectly fine. He grabbed a large bowl of eggs, found a small chair to sit on, and started peeling and eating the eggs nonchalantly, ignoring the shocked looks from the crowd. His calmness was unusual.
After a while, the middle-aged leader who had been in the crowd earlier, came forward.
He had already seen Yan Fei eating boiled eggs when he first came out from the crowd towards him. Although he looked rather pale, he still managed to force a smile.
Once he reached Yan Fei, he seemed at a loss for words, standing there awkwardly just like a guilty schoolchild.
Without turning his head, Yan Fei gestured towards the chair next to him, "Sit. Do you want to continue the fight?"
"No, no more fighting," the middle-aged man replied, pulling the chair back slightly and sitting down, looking rather uneasy.
Isn’t it obvious? With that pole spinning in Yan Fei’s hands, who would dare fight? The couple of hundred people in the yard would not last a few rounds before they’d be sent flying.
Yan Fei heard his surrender but showed no surprise. He continued peeling eggs and stuffing them in his mouth, soon causing a pile of eggshells to form at his feet.
After waiting for a while and noticing Yan Fei’s silence, the man finally gathered the courage to ask, "Brother, did we previously offend you in any way?"
"No, I just didn’t like what I saw, so I stepped in," Yan Fei responded, much to the man’s disappointment.
Despite his bitterness, the man continued probing, "Brother, how do you intend to handle us?"
Yan Fei glanced at him while eating an egg, "Speak your mind!"
The man smiled reluctantly, "We are fully aware of the risks of our livelihood. If something happens, we can’t blame others. We made a mistake, and we hold no grudge against you, brother. But we need to continue with our restaurant business."
His words were clearly stating that they had accepted the repercussions of today’s event, but they still needed to keep the restaurant running. After saying this, he couldn’t help but look at Yan Fei, observing his reaction.
However, Yan Fei seemed to show no reaction, as if he hadn’t heard the man.
The man clenched his teeth and went on, "If the restaurant wasn’t a necessity, we could have managed without it. We could go back to farming and still feed our people. But our village has so many injured now and the costs are high. To be honest, without this income, we can’t make ends meet."
"Hmm," Yan Fei nodded noncommittally, signaling him to continue.
"Brother, if we continue with the restaurant, you will own ten percent of it. Feel free to drop by anytime. If you see anything you don’t like, you can do whatever you want, we won’t complain. What do you think?" After saying this, the man looked at Yan Fei, waiting for his response.
Do these guys really think I’m a fool with deaf ears? Hearing these words, Yan Fei gave him a nonchalant five-word reply: "You wish!"
The man’s face instantly changed, after hesitating for a moment, he gritted his teeth and said, "Twenty percent! You will own twenty percent of the restaurant. Just drop by often to check on us. Don’t worry about the finances, you won’t lose a penny. How does that sound?"
