Chapter 1626: Chapter 774: A Single Stone Provokes a Thousand Ripples_3

During the time they had arranged, Yan Fei gave his wife a few more instructions.

Less than ten minutes later, several cars silently converged together. Yan Fei, driving his own car, blended in the middle of the convoy as they all headed towards New City.

New City wasn’t far away and there were few cars on the road now. A little over an hour later, the cars reached their destination.

Since the suspects had motorcycles, everyone agreed they should enter the village quietly, apprehend the suspects quickly, and leave without unnecessary complications. Thus, the police cars didn’t use their sirens. After parking a good distance away and as the leading officer was about to arrange the capture, Yan Fei spoke, "I’ll go alone, you all wait here to transport the suspects."

"No way..." Several people said in unison.

It was a joke to think that the person in charge of the operation would let the victim handle it. Besides, those two guys had run so far, they must know about the reward on TV by now and would be like startled birds. A little disturbance could spur them into a desperate fight to the end – it was still dangerous.

"Too many people will alert the village dogs; if I go alone, the dogs won’t bark. Just wait here." Yan Fei finished speaking, turned his head, and started running. In the dark night, only a fleeting shadow could be seen, which soon became too blurry to make out.

Another reason why it’s tough to catch suspects in rural areas is the abundance of dogs. But when Yan Fei was in action, it was different – he could approach without alerting even the dogs.

The tipper’s description of the two-story house was easy to find. Calling it a two-story house was an overstatement, it was really small. Yan Fei hadn’t even approached when he heard voices from upstairs.

One of the guys was saying, "Chopper, drink less, dammit. We’re still wanted!"

Another voice that Yan Fei recognized immediately responded, "Don’t worry Stick Brother, It’s safe here. Chopper, both of you just relax. I’ll go out to buy food and drinks. As long as you don’t show your faces, no one will know you’re here..."

Then another voice chimed in, "Ma Zi, brother, I owe you one today. Once this blows over and you come to Provincial City, you’ll be Chopper’s own brother, who...who are you..."

"Heh!" Yan Fei, who entered the room with a sneer, first slapped Ma Zi, who was near the door, to the ground, then kicked Chopper away with one foot, followed by knocking down Stick Brother, the first one who spoke.

The three guys had no time to react. Ma Zi, lying on the ground, knew what was happening but seeing Yan Fei’s aggressive approach, he immediately shouted loudly, "Who are you? What are you doing in my house?"

Yan Fei knew this guy was just trying to avoid a beating by shouting to remind him that this was his home, implying he was the informant among the three. If the other two were aware of it, they would probably have to call him a traitor, a backstabber...

Ignoring him, Yan Fei grabbed Chopper, piled him on top of Stick Brother, and then began a fierce beating.

This round of punishment was severe. The following officers were soon to arrive, and he needed to find out quickly who was behind this—obviously, without someone pulling the strings, these two weren’t senselessly assaulting people on the street for fun. That’s not the way to court death.

At first, the two could bear it, but soon they couldn’t hold on any longer. It should be known that Boss Yan was not only an expert with dinosaurs but also an expert at beating people—he guaranteed that it would be excruciatingly painful but definitely not lethal...

When the beating seemed enough and the village dogs had begun to bark, Yan Fei carried the two men out the door. Passing by Ma Zi, who pretended to be seriously injured, he even kicked him. Reaching the balcony outside, holding a leg in each hand, he positioned the two’s heads facing down: "Speak. Who instructed you two for tonight’s job?"

The second floor wasn’t too high, but it depended on how one would go down. If you go headfirst, most people probably wouldn’t end up well.

"Speak quickly..."
