Chapter 131: Chapter 8: Revenge_1

At this moment, a doctor from a small clinic beside the road had rushed over, using gauze to bandage the injured man with glasses and advising him at the same time, "You need to rush to the county hospital, your wound seems deep. Whoever has a bicycle, no, get a motorbike, take this man to the hospital ASAP, this wound needs to be treated at the hospital."

People had already started to stop vehicles for this purpose. Just as a motorbike passed by, the young man on it learned that the man was injured by a thief, and promptly gestured the injured man to get on the bike. In a cloud of smoke, they sped towards the county hospital.

Two panting youths then came running over, hollering, "Did you call the police? We couldn’t catch up!"

Yan Fei was in a rush to leave. He had intended to leave the moment the motorbike took the injured man away. He persuaded Yan Chao to go to a high school for some fun, as expected, the kid was immediately lured by this new ’playground’.

The kid had no idea what was fun about a high school, anyway, as long as it was called playing, he was up for it anywhere.

When Yan Fei arrived at the Cattle Market, he noticed then. Kids are easy to coax. Discussing logically with them is useless, we only need to speak about things that interest them to distract them.

The county’s Cattle Market was much larger than the ones in small towns. There were more people and more cattle; some people even brought two or three cattle. Because they were delayed on the road, so Yan Fei just took a simple tour around the outer periphery upon Yan Chao’s request, heard some prices, and didn’t manage to go inside.

On the way back, the kid was unusually excited, imitating the mooing of cattle from time to time. After he was done, he would be so amused that he couldn’t stop himself. At one moment he went woo-woo-woo, and the next moment moo-moo-moo, even using his Glass Toy as a horn to blow into.

How excited he was, rubbing his neck left and right while sitting on Yan Fei’s neck. Finally, just as they had entered the city and were approaching the place where he had yelled at the thief, the Glass Toy was broken.

Now Yan Fei was in trouble, he quickly put the child down, bent over and began to shake his head.

The broken Glass Toy scattered, most of the smaller glass shards were caught on his head, his hair was full of tiny shards!

This Glass Toy was made of glass, but when a child blew it, it would make a sound, so it has a characteristic: Thin!

Therefore, these glass shards fell off with a shake of his head, shimmering under the sun, a few fell off with each shake, but they never ceased falling, all hidden in his hair. It was a good thing that Yan Fei always kept his hair short, so he could shake them off.

Luckily, where he stood, the crowd that had gathered because of the thief had dispersed, the sun was old high and there were not many people on the road. Otherwise, things would have been even more awkward!

Yan Chao originally wanted to make a fuss about his toy being broken, but when he saw his brother fervently shaking off the glass shards, he knew he had done something wrong. He walked over and hugged one arm of Yan Fei, comforting him, "Brother, are you okay? Don’t be afraid!"

Yan Fei was amused yet helpless, shook his head violently a couple of more times. Afterward, he took his arm out from his brother’s embrace, stood upright, patted his back of his head and said, "I’m fine!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he noticed from the corner of his eye that a passerby stretched an arm towards Yan Chao’s face.

Almost instinctively, Yan Fei blocked his brother’s face with his hand, and saw the incoming hand flip over, a glint of light flashed under the sun, and scraped across the back of his hand.

Following that, the hand seemed to pause for a moment, then once again reached towards Yan Chao’s face. Yan Fei, who was jolted back to his senses by the pain, reacted within a split second and grabbed the person’s wrist.

As he looked up, he saw a face he seemed to recognize but before he could react, he sensed the wrist in his hand trembling, and instinctively flicked the hand away.

Although the thief had changed his clothes-from a grey short sleeves to a white shirt-Yan Fei had already recognised him, that smiling face was the thief Yan Chao shouted at on their way here.

"When kids are out, you should watch them, control their mouths..." The thief spoke with a smile on his face. Once again, he held out the hand that held the blade, aiming directly at the still confused Yan Chao’s face.

Almost in an instant, Yan Fei, who had the complete understanding of the situation, felt a surge of anger rapidly rising from the bottom of his heart, as if an explosion had detonated, rushing to his forehead.

This thief, he was damn audacious, having just escaped, he was still lurking nearby, waiting for revenge because Yan Chao had shouted at him earlier!

He pretended to find children adorable and pretended to touch Yan Chao’s face when in reality, he was hiding a blade in his hand with the intention to cut Yan Chao’s face. With his smiling face, any passerby who didn’t know better would think they were familiar with each other, just casually touching a child’s face. Who could guess his sinister intentions?

While Yan Fei was processing this quickly in his mind, he lightly flicked his hand, following the momentum, he lead Yan Chao to the side with his other hand, causing another miss for the thief. Unsatisfied, the thief stepped forward once again, attempting another stretch of his hand, but he lost his chance.

Yan Fei had already lifted his right leg, bounced his foot, and kicked the thief’s lower abdomen squarely. Due to the close proximity, the kick did not exert much force, it merely kicked the thief a couple steps backward.

Next, with both hands clutching Yan Chao, he pivoted to the left, consecutively, his left foot swiped out from the lower left towards the back and, carrying intense fury, he kicked directly at the thief’s chest cavity with a slam, producing a muffled thud.

When the thief was kicked backward by the first kick, there was confusion on his face. He seemed to be surprised that he would encounter a man who knew some Kung Fu just to retaliate against two children,

Just as he was bewildered, and before he could decide whether to continue his revenge or to make a quick getaway, he felt a thump in his chest. A great force made his body shake and he flew backward.

While he was still airborne, he felt slightly dizzy, unsure of what in the world was happening. By the time he landed, he saw pitch black in his field of vision. His body involuntarily slid and rolled a few times on the ground, a trail of blood pouring out from his mouth as he moved. His final thought was: I’m done for!

Then he completely lost consciousness.

"Brother, you’re bleeding!" Yan Chao was picked up by Yan Fei, his face towards the front. The child had no idea what had happened behind him, but he noticed the blood flowing from the hand that was holding him and immediately shouted out.

"It’s nothing, my hand was just cut by a bit of glass shard earlier!" Yan Fei didn’t have time to look at his hand and turned around to look. At the sight of the thief lying limp more than ten meters away, he realized something was wrong.

"Let’s go home quickly, or there will be no more good food!" Yan Fei casually lied to Yan Chao, picked him up and bolted.

Everything happened too fast, people on both sides of the street were unaware of what had just transpired. When they finally turned to look, all they could see was a glimpse of a figure running like the wind. In the blink of an eye, it had disappeared.
