Chapter 107: Chapter 48 Attack of the Crocodile (Please Add to Favorites and Recommend)_1

The sudden turn of events left the nearby Terrestrisuchus stunned. They had never seen such a ferocious ’prey’ daring to do this to one of their own!

It was utterly brutal!

A live Terrestrisuchus was usually imposing, but now it was being trampled on by an Iguanodon that weighed several tons. Very soon, it was flattened, its blood making the surrounding ground wet. Some internal organs even spilled out from under the body of the Terrestrisuchus. The sound of the Iguanodon’s large feet stepping on it was simply too horrible to bear.

The other Terrestrisuchus were completely dumbfounded. They watched as the Iguanodon stepped on their companion for a while, then after realizing that it was no longer breathing, it quickly shrank down, transforming into a bare bipedal creature.

This creature was pitifully small compared to them, and its bare body lacked any kind of scale armor for protection. Its teeth were not sharp, and its claws were not dangerous, but the remaining Terrestrisuchus had no desire to take revenge for their companion. When the small creature provocatively challenged them, they slowly began to retreat. Once they were far enough away, they quickly turned and fled.

This scene was simply too incomprehensible for the Terrestrisuchus!

Have the Iguanodon always been this powerful?

Yan Fei stood under a tree, looking at the dead Terrestrisuchus in front of him, still not quite believing that he had done this. He’d thought long and hard about how to kill a Terrestrisuchus but never imagined that he’d just trample it to death like this!

The Terrestrisuchus had indeed died with its eyes open, its eyeballs having been squashed out of their sockets!

It probably never expected to be squashed into a meat patty by its own ’food’.

Yan Fei initially wanted to try the meat of the crocodile, but the gruesome state of the Terrestrisuchus completely dissuaded him. After watching for a while, he remembered that his foot had hurt earlier. He lowered his head to check his ankle and couldn’t see anything unusual.

There was still a bit of discomfort, but after transforming, this slight discomfort could basically be ignored.

After circling the Terrestrisuchus, Yan Fei began to transform again.

His size rapidly increased, armor started growing out on his body, and a thick tail appeared behind him.

With a thump, he lay on the ground.

He sprung back and forth a few steps, then circled the tree and started running.

The smell of blood attracted a few Rapator, but they all just watched from a distance, not daring to approach.

They have never seen a crazed Terrestrisuchus before. The vicious crocodile wouldn’t spare even the bodies of its companions. But this one wasn’t even paying attention to the ’meal’ nearby and was running around in an insane manner, performing a variety of attack and defense moves, as if it were fighting an invisible enemy.

Only after running around until he was hungry did Yan Fei transform back. After thinking for a bit, he transformed into a Terrestrisuchus again, then left the dinosaur world.

When he reappeared, he was in a dark tunnel.

He crawled along the tunnel for a while, and after squeezing through a large iron gate, he saw the outside world in full bloom.

This was a ’great place’ he’d found in order to not be seen disappearing and reappearing. It was a sewer below the wall of Sancha River.

This sewer was tall enough for a person to stand in, had a large iron gate in the middle used by the town to drain water outside. The gate was designed to prevent river water from surging back into the town.

However, the water levels rarely ever rose significantly in recent years, so this sewer was seldom used and remained dry. The floor was paved with bluestone, and the walls were built of green bricks, making the interior look very clean from outside despite its dark appearance.

Upon exiting the tunnel and following the dry trench for a short distance, he arrived at the riverbank. The water here was quite deep, providing him a good opportunity to see how good the Terrestrisuchus was in the water.

That was too intense. It took a while to find a big enough fish, only to be turned into a trivial matter when confronted with the strength of a giant crocodile. It seems I’m still not used to this force. I need more practice.

Once I swim from this spot, it doesn’t take long to reach the cow farm. I sneak a peek in that direction, only to see Old Cheng outside tending to his vegetable patch!

After some thought, Yan Fei drifted back to the sewer way and returned to Vegetable Garden Island.

The larger the creature you transform into, the easier it feels hungry. I guess I have to feast again.

Looking around, there wasn’t much cured meat hanging anymore. He smacked his large open mouth twice, then emitted a rumbling sound from his throat. This is his nefarious laughter! Though, it does sound different as a crocodile.

He left Vegetable Garden Island and, after standing around in a daze for a while, swiftly appeared at the edge of a trench on Cow Breeding Island. He ran about in the open, tossing dry twigs and rotting leaves into the trench before transforming into a Terrestrisuchus crocodile. His body squirmed around in the trench. After a little while, his massive body melded together with the pile of dry twigs and rotting leaves. Unless one was looking closely, the disguise was imperceptible.

After lying on the ground for a bit, he could feel the slight tremors in the earth.

Before long, an Iguanodon appeared not too far off.

The leading Iguanodon always walked faster than the others, creating a gap with the group. This gave the rest of the herd a chance to escape quickly if danger presented itself.

The vigilant Iguanodon kept glancing up, looking out for any peculiar movements in the surroundings, and sniffing the air for any impending danger.

Unfortunately for it, the Terrestrisuchus lying in ambush didn’t smell like those native crocs from Cow Breeding Island.

So, the Iguanodon unsuspectedly made its way past the trench full of dry twigs and rotting leaves.

Since the Iguanodon was still at a distance, Yan Fei remained still, letting it pass.

One after another...

Before long, the entire group of Iguanodons followed the trail of the scout, passing by the trench one by one.

There were Iguanodons that came close to the trench. But Yan Fei noticed other Iguanodons following closely. Thinking about the crushed Terrestrisuchus, he held back.

It wasn’t until the last few Iguanodons had passed that he sprung into action.

In an instant, twigs and leaves were flying around. The ash-black Terrestrisuchus practically soared out of the air, its large mouth protruding through the whirl of branches and leaves.

The attacked Iguanodon sprang into action almost immediately. It jerked forward but it was already too late.

It had been too relaxed. The entire group of Iguanodons had made it through this pathway without as much as a scratch. There were still two alert lookouts at the back. Consequently, it couldn’t fathom that there would be a lurking threat in a trench already crossed by its herd.

Besides, it was too close to the trench!

Predators who launched surprise attacks usually hid among the bushes or took shelter behind trees before rushing out. But there weren’t many trees around, which is why the Iguanodon herd chose to pass through here.

The last thing it expected was a Terrestrisuchus hidden inside a shallow-looking hole, camouflaged among twigs and leaves, waiting to launch an ambush.

As a result, the Terrestrisuchus got the Iguanodon by the neck in one swift bite.
