Chapter 832: Chapter 850: In the years of one’s life, love never lets go (Ending 6)

Robert Vincent and his son, George Vincent, would often argue in front of Evelyn Osbert. Hence, Evelyn, speaking softly, confronted Robert: "Robert, if you have something to say to George, say it nicely. Don’t always argue like this. There are a lot of people around watching us."

George laughed, as if he’d heard a joke, at Evelyn: "I know that you look down on my mom and want to marry a woman younger than your own son. If you really have no feelings left for my mom and want to choose a new passion, I won’t hold any objections. BUT, I must give you a piece of advice: choose wisely for your new wife. Don’t bring any random garbage home. You thought you’ve found a treasure and acted like you were some hero just because she looks good. But to other people, it was just a series of jokes. They wonder how could Robert Vincent even marry those women I’ve already discarded."

After George finished speaking, he gave a merciless stare at Evelyn, who looked particularly upset because of his words, and then he walked away.

"Robert.... it’s okay. We can handle things slowly..." Evelyn tried to suppress her anger from being insulted by George and spoke softly to Robert Vincent.

Robert remained silent.

Evelyn assumed his silence was because he was upset with his son, so she gave a light laugh and continued: "Robert, it’s okay. Try not to be too hard on George..."

Only then did Robert slowly turn around, and he glanced at the auction event staff following Evelyn before asking her, "What is it?"

"The money for the jade seal probably needs to be paid now." Evelyn said.

Just as Percy Stanton speculated, remembering the attractive photos of Evelyn he had just seen and George’s words, thinking about how frivolously Evelyn had spent 200 million, Robert’s expression suddenly became cold.

During his divorce from his first wife, he felt guilty. His tone was gentle and even somewhat submissive.

But now, facing this young woman who had been entangling with him for less than a year, he suddenly felt repulsive.

Men, they can be like that. When they like you, they treat you well; when they don’t, they are exceptionally cold.

"Evelyn, we should end our relationship amicably." he said.

Evelyn thought Robert would take out his card and pay without any hesitation. Yet, to her surprise, instead of that, she heard him suggest they should part ways.

Even breaking up was not what he meant.

It was more like an end of a casual relationship with no sentimental attachment.

Evelyn looked at Robert, incredulously. After a while, she blinked and asked, "Robert, what did you say? Why are you suddenly talking like this?"

Robert did not respond. He just looked at Evelyn once, then walked away.

Watching Robert’s retreating figure, Evelyn’s tears began to fall. She had been a player all her life, dated a lot, and every breakup was initiated by her.

Now, she chose Robert, merely because he was older, gullible and had a lot of money. But who would have thought that at such a crucial moment, he would... renege!
