Chapter 819: Chapter 837: Mom, mom, mom! (7)

Isabel felt that her blood flow was too heavy, so she was sure she wouldn’t make it to buy sanitary napkins and back. So she continued using sanitary paper, barely making her way out of the restroom, and began calling out for Percy.

Perhaps because her voice was a bit loud, not only did she call Percy over, but she also summoned Raymond as well.

Since Raymond was present, Isabel swallowed the words she originally wanted to say, "I got my period, can you help me buy some sanitary napkins?" She racked her brain for a moment and then said to Percy, "I need some bread, can you help me buy some to bring back?"

Many girls understand the hidden meaning behind these words, but they lose their implied meaning when they reach a man’s ears. So Percy frowned and said, "Didn’t we buy a lot of bread before picking up Raymond from school tonight? Why do we need to buy more?"

Raymond, being innocent and naive, thought that the bread Isabel wanted was the same kind he loves to eat. So, just as Percy finished speaking, Raymond quickly chimed in, saying excitedly, "Sister Isabel, just wait and I’ll get you the bread right away!"

After speaking, he sprinted towards the bedroom door.

"No, that’s not it!" Isabel anxiously shouted, stopping him. She then bit her finger, thinking carefully, and explained further, "I want bread with wings, long and wide, folded into a square shape..."

After speaking, Isabel also lifted her hand to her face, mimicking the fluttering wings, and looked at Percy with her bright eyes, asking, "Do you understand now?"

Percy blinked his eyes, finally realizing what she meant. But before he could nod his head, Raymond, who was standing next to him, suddenly shouted, "I know!"

Isabel looked at Raymond in amazement. How could a five-year-old boy know what she was talking about?

Could it be that Percy taught his child about such things at such a young age?

Raymond’s innocent eyes rolled twice before he stared at Isabel with sincere curiosity, as if playing a guessing game: "Is it an angel? My teacher said that angels have wings!"

Isabel was instantly dumbfounded and stood still. She had no experience in dealing with children, so she raised her head and looked at Percy for help.

But Raymond, still blinking his eyes, continued to ask Isabel on his own, "Sister Isabel, do you want to buy bread shaped like an angel?"

Isabel’s face turned a deep shade of red almost instantly.

Percy, however, picked up his wallet from the table and told Isabel, "I’ll be back shortly."

And then he left the bedroom.

Raymond turned his head to watch Percy’s retreating figure, and called out, "Father, I’ve never had angel bread before. Can you buy one for me too?"

Percy’s pace quickened as he walked away.

Raymond pouted and followed him, "Father, what flavors do angel breads come in?"

Percy changed his shoes wordlessly, a faint blush appearing on his fair skin.

"Father, do they come in matcha flavor? I prefer matcha-flavored ones."

At this moment, Isabel managed to walk out of the bedroom with considerable effort, leaning against the doorway isabel spoke to Percy who was about to leave: "Don’t forget to buy the day-use and night-use varieties."

"Day-use? Night-use?" Raymond’s eyes suddenly brightened, "Father, I want two as well, matcha flavored ones. One day-use and one night-use, I’ll eat one tonight and the other tomorrow at noon."
