Meanwhile, Isabel Smith returned to her job at Smith Corporation, looking much more vibrant and energetic than before. Her improved demeanor led the entire company to speculate: Was there a good omen in CEO Smith’s life?

Of course, happiness didn’t mean that there wouldn’t be any conflicts between Isabel and Percy, but their arguments were mostly harmless. For instance, a few days ago, the couple went shopping, and Percy bought Isabel several dresses. When Isabel wanted to return some of them, they had a heated debate. However, in the end, Percy insisted that Isabel must try to match his spending habits and doubled the number of clothes they bought. They returned home happily, carrying many shopping bags.

However, on this particular day, Percy was somewhat displeased when he went to pick up Isabel from work.

This is how it happened: Isabel received a phone call from Percy and went downstairs just as it was time for everyone to leave work. As she stepped out of Smith Corporation’s office tower, Percy immediately got out of his car, walked to the passenger seat, opened the car door for her, and called out, "Isabel."

Some of Smith Corporation’s employees happened to be passing by and politely greeted her, "CEO Smith."

Isabel turned her head, saw Secretary Emille, and smiled with a nod.

Secretary Emille glanced at Percy and then back at Isabel. Since Isabel had a better temperament recently and interacted more with her secretary, Emille half-jokingly asked, "CEO Smith, everyone says you have a boyfriend. Could it be Mr. Stanton?"

Isabel’s face turned red in an instant. She looked at the gossiping expressions of her employees and waved her hand dismissively, vaguely denying, "No, don’t make wild guesses."

They exchanged goodbyes, and Isabel bent down to get into the car.

Percy followed suit, getting into the car indignantly. Instead of starting the car, he turned to Isabel, looking upset, and asked, "Isabel, do I embarrass you?"

Isabel didn’t understand why Percy would suddenly ask this question, but she quickly realized what was bothering him.

Sometimes, she actually enjoyed Percy’s pettiness.

So, with a playful mindset, Isabel decided to change the subject, "Percy, it’s getting late. Raymond will be out of school soon. We should hurry and pick him up."

Percy didn’t respond; he just stared at Isabel and said, "Why didn’t you tell Secretary Emille and the others that I am your boyfriend?"

Isabel looked straight ahead, seemingly in a hurry, "Today is Friday. If we get stuck in traffic, Raymond will have to wait for us again at the school’s doorstep."

If it were in the past, Percy would have softened his tone and tried to reason with Isabel. However, today, he seemed to care about their relationship status and asked, "Isabel, why won’t you admit to others that I am your boyfriend?"
