Judas Bell, with great manners, helped Ella with her luggage, leading her downstairs and to his car.

Before setting off, Bell sent Elijah a text, letting him know that he had efficiently handled what he was tasked with.

Then, Bell put away his phone and turned to the Ella Adams in the back seat, "Miss Adams... are you thirsty? I have some water."

This was water that Elijah had instructed him to buy, even specifying a particular brand.

Before handing the bottle to Ella, Bell made sure to unscrew the cap, according to Elijah’s instructions.

"Thank you." Ella had a sip of water, then said, "You don’t need to call me Miss Adams, just call me Ella."

"Okay, Miss Adams."

Ella burst into laughter with Christopher’s teasing.

"How long have you known Elijah?"

"213 days." Ella said without blinking, then checked the time and added, "In 6 hours and 15 minutes, it will be 214 days."

She had been counting from the night Elijah escorted her back to Starhaven University.
