Chapter 799: Chapter 817: Misfortune of Being Just One Step Behind (7)

Raymond’s words made Isabel’s heart both warm and painful.

The warmth was because, at such a young age, Raymond was so considerate and understanding.

The pain was that, at such a young age, he was already so mature.

...

When the car arrived at the ground floor of Percy’s apartment building, Tony’s mobile phone suddenly rang. Tony put on his Bluetooth headset, answered the call, and didn’t know what was said on the other end. But after listening, he simply replied, "Okay, I got it," and hung up.

The car stopped at the roadside, and everyone got out. Tony took some items from the trunk and said to Percy, "Mr. Stanton, there’s something I need to talk to you about."

Isabel naturally knew Tony’s words implied they needed privacy, so she picked up the bag from the ground, held Raymond’s hand, and tactfully said to Percy, "Raymond and I will go upstairs first."

Percy raised his hand, gesturing at Tony, and then walked to Isabel’s side. He took the bag from her hand and said, "I’ll take you guys up first."

Percy didn’t enter the apartment. He just left the items at the entrance and then turned around, re-entered the elevator, and went downstairs.

As he walked out of the elevator, Tony came to meet him, "Mr. Stanton, we have found the perpetrator of your car accident. They’re in a villa owned by Thompson Empire Group in the suburbs."

Percy’s expression became colder in an instant. He pointed at the car and said, "Start the car now and let’s go there."

"Yes, Mr. Stanton." Tony walked quickly ahead of Percy and opened the car door for him.

Once seated in the car, Percy took out his mobile phone and called Isabel, saying, "I have something urgent to deal with right now."

After she acknowledged, Percy still kindly told her, "You must be tired from staying at the hospital recently. When you get home, take a hot bath and rest well. I’ll have a servant come to prepare food for you later."

...

The suburban Villa was a modest piece of real estate under the Thompson Empire Group.

Tony drove the car straight to the Villa’s doorstep.

Before the car came to a complete stop, two people stepped forward, opened the car door, and respectfully greeted the getting out Percy, "Mr. Stanton."

Percy didn’t say a word and just walked toward the villa.

It seemed that the person in charge of the villa had already been informed. As soon as Percy pushed open the door, they immediately greeted him, "Mr. Stanton, you’re here."

Percy nodded and directly inquired, "How’s the interrogation going?"

"This person might be a veteran money-taker. They’re quite stubborn, insisting that they didn’t deliberately hit you with their car. They won’t admit to taking money or being instructed by someone to do this."

Percy’s eyes slightly darkened and said, "Take me to see."

"Yes, Mr. Stanton, this way, please—"

With that, the person in charge led Percy to a room on the far eastern side of the villa.

The room was decorated with exceptional luxury and splendor. There was a genuine leather European-style sofa, a piano was placed in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, and another wall seemed to be made of glass.

Percy was quite familiar with the equipment here, and easily walked up to the glass wall, clearly seeing the situation in the other room:
