Chapter 795: Chapter 813: Misfortune of Being Just One Step Behind (3)
Percy, you turned my once desolate world, like a wild mountain ridge, into a bustling landscape.
You are the only fairy-tale in my life.
...
It was on the day Percy was discharged from the hospital that Isabel told Percy that Raymond was the child she had been looking for all these years.
When Isabel found out the news, she was shocked for a long time, and for more than an hour, her heart raced at an extremely fast pace, even feeling dizzy the entire time.
So, she didn’t dare to tell Percy the news during his recovery, and had discussed it with Thomas Quincy to wait until she could tell Percy herself.
On the day Percy was discharged, the dean and the doctor in charge of his recovery came to the infirmary early in the morning to give Percy a full body checkup, and only after confirming that he was fully recovered did they respectfully say to him, "Mr. Stanton, you can be discharged today."
During the time Percy was hospitalized, the doctors and caregivers in charge of his infirmary had their fair share of difficulties, so even when it was time for Percy to be discharged, everyone gave their aftercare instructions directly to Isabel.
Isabel knew that these people were afraid of Percy, so to thank them for their care and patience during this time, she gave the fresh flowers, fruit, and some supplements in the hospital room, that were gifts from visitors, to the doctors and caregivers at the hospital.
Percy’s discharge was scheduled for 10:30, and Tony Williams arrived at 9:30 to help Isabel complete the discharge formalities.
Returning to the infirmary, Isabel glanced at Raymond, who had put on his small school bag, patted his head, and said, "Raymond, you go downstairs with Uncle Tony first, your father and I have something to deal with, we’ll come down and find you in a bit, okay?"
Tony knew that Isabel was purposely sending Raymond away, so he immediately stepped forward, picked up Raymond with one hand, and carried the bag of clothes they had brought to the hospital with the other before leaving the infirmary.
Isabel waited for Tony to leave the infirmary and personally closed the room door before speaking seriously to Percy, who had changed out of his hospital gown and was looking spirited in a white shirt, "Percy, before we leave the hospital, there’s something I need to tell you."
Percy casually tied his tie in front of the mirror, nodded, and said, "Okay, go ahead."
Isabel saw Percy’s nonchalant attitude, pursed her lips, and said with a serious expression, "A friendly reminder, you’d better be prepared in advance."
"I’m prepared," Percy said casually, with a hint of amusement in his heart. Was his psychological capacity so poor?
Isabel could see that Percy was perfunctory, so she said, "Percy, I’m not joking with you, I’m very serious, you’d better take a deep breath so as not to be overwhelmed later."
Percy rarely saw Isabel this serious, so his attitude suddenly became serious. He turned his head, slightly nervous, and said to Isabel, "Isabel, you just told me two days ago that you’re prepared to love me, now you’re not planning to tell me that you’re tired of me, are you?"
Isabel rolled her eyes, feeling that her heartfelt warning was a bit of a hassle, so she simply said to Percy, "Percy, Raymond is my son."
