In a daze, Percy vaguely felt that someone was constantly speaking nonstop by his ear. After trying to distinguish the voice for a while, he couldn’t figure out who it was, let alone hear what they were saying. So he tried moving his fingers to find out who it was, only to feel convulsive pain throughout his body, making him stay still instantly. After feeling Percy’s pulse, he addressed the doctors who followed him: "If he really woke up just now, he might have slipped into a temporary faint due to the severity of his injuries. Once Thomas gave the order, he looked at Isabel again: "Miss Smith, please step outside."

Isabel looked at Percy uneasily. Thomas gave her a reassuring smile, "After the examination, you can come in and see him, it will be the same."

Then, Isabel pursed her lips, turned around, and left the sterile space.

Standing in the corridor, Isabel peered through the spacious glass, seeing the flurry of activity inside.

Percy’s family members also received phone calls and rushed over, gathering outside.

Charlotte Thompson saw Isabel standing alone looking pale and handed her a cup of water. She then sat beside Isabel, trying to engage her in conversation with various topics, chattering away.
