Leonard Banks and Ava Brown hurriedly came over from Ravenwood City yesterday afternoon because of Percy Stanton, and it just so happened that they were in Ella Adams’s room.

Yesterday, Leonard met Elijah Smith, who had come with Ella. As the saying goes, daughters are the treasures of their fathers, so Leonard asked Ella about the man who had come with her yesterday.

Ella hugged the cushion and sat on the sofa. She looked at Leonard with a delicate beauty and brazenly admitted, "He’s my boyfriend."

Ella threw away the cushion she was holding, got up from the sofa, put on her slippers, and ran to open the door. She saw Elijah Smith standing in the doorway with bags in hand.

"Elijah, you’re here." Ella smiled as she held Elijah’s arm and led him in. She then confidently introduced Leonard and Ava Brown to Elijah, saying, "Elijah, these are my parents."

She then playfully said to Leonard, "Dad, this is the person you were just asking about."

Elijah Smith didn’t expect to bump into Ella’s parents while bringing food to her. His heart fluttered with nervousness. He bowed politely to Leonard and Ava Brown and said, "Uncle, Aunt."

Even after so many years, Ava Brown’s temperament remained soft and gentle. She smiled at Elijah and said, "Hello."

Leonard, however, had a stern expression on his face and didn’t say a word.

Ella, somewhat annoyed, glared at Leonard before sitting down on the sofa with Elijah. She set out the food Elijah had bought, and invited Leonard and Ava Brown to eat together.

Leonard didn’t pick up his tableware. Ava, knowing that Leonard was jealous, tugged on Leonard’s arm and quietly reminded him. Leonard reluctantly picked up his tableware and tasted the food Elijah had bought, for the sake of his lovely wife.

After eating, Leonard and Ava Brown left without disturbing Ella and Elijah, returning to their own room instead.

Once Ella had seen her parents off, she immediately closed the door and raised her hand, wrapping her arms around Elijah’s neck. Like a spoiled young lady, she hung on Elijah’s body and looked at him with a radiant smile, asking, "Elijah, did you miss me?"

Elijah felt a rush of emotion surge through him as he looked at Ella’s delicate smile, her eyes brimming with happiness she couldn’t hide. His throat felt dry, and after a long while, he nodded and said, "Yes."

Ella didn’t notice Elijah’s abnormality and became even more smiling and radiant. With the lamp light above their heads, her smile shone brightly, causing Elijah to feel dazzled.
